The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
spartin fails to land the takedown.

Sutton feints and as spartin raises his hands in defense, Sutton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
spartin tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sutton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. spartin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sutton sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed spartin's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sutton postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for spartin to stand up.

Sutton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
