Bako drops Parantainen with a beautiful combination! Parantainen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bako is looking for the KO!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bearhazard feints and as Ulrich raises his hands in defense, Bearhazard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bearhazard tries to stand but Ulrich is controlling from the bottom.
Bearhazard trying to control the position from guard on top but Ulrich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bearhazard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ulrich is keeping the position for now.
Ulrich is adopting a defensive guard.

Ulrich has his foot on Bearhazard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bearhazard works his way back into a safe position though.
Bearhazard is pushing down on Ulrich's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ulrich is fighting to maintain full guard but Bearhazard has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ulrich is looking for a sweep. Bearhazard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bearhazard is stalling here. Ulrich is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bearhazard seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ulrich has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Let's hope that Ulrich has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Bearhazard is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ulrich is controlling him well.
Ulrich really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bearhazard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
