Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Armen Tanzarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Ricardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanzarian kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Steve Winwood - Higher Love. Ricardo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Culo kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Armen Tanzarian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricky Ricardo!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanzarian looks for a takedown but Ricardo sprawls well.

Tanzarian has taken the fight to the clinch.

Ricardo decides to pull guard.

Ricardo working for a triangle but Tanzarian defends it easily.

Ricardo looking for a guillotine here but Tanzarian defends easily.

Ricardo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tanzarian is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ricardo.

Ricardo is going olschool here, as he tries to force Tanzarian to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tanzarian shrugs it off.

Ricardo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tanzarian can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Ricardo is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Tanzarian has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Tanzarian!

Ricardo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tanzarian gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ricardo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tanzarian can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ricardo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tanzarian is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tanzarian and Ricardo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ricardo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ricardo has hold of Tanzarian's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tanzarian manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Tanzarian drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ricardo gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close second round but I would say that Armen Tanzarian will probably get the nod.

Ricardo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Segata Sanshiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and clark McCahon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanshiro comes to the cage accompanied by Sega Satan!. clark McCahon struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Segata Sanshiro has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but McCahon might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Sanshiro has got the better of the exchanges.
