Marak wants to clinch up but Kermodian keeps it at a distance.
Marak shoots in for a takedown but Kermodian shows good takedown defense.
Kermodian thuds his right hand into Marak's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Marak shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kermodian as he jumps to the side.

Marak changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kermodian looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Marak swings around for an armbar but Kermodian sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Marak's guard.
Marak wants to sweep but no luck.

Kermodian must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

You can see the frustration on Kermodian's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing.

Marak tries for a kimura but Kermodian is defending well.

Marak is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kermodian has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kermodian keeps Marak under control for a moment.
You can see the frustration on Kermodian's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Marak thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kermodian keeps Marak under control for a moment.

Marak is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kermodian is trying to escape and Marak transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kermodian is forced to tap! Nice work there by Marak! Very nice indeed!
