The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cares keeps control of Valvarde as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Ginish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy LaPlaguea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ginish comes to the cage accompanied by No Handlebars---- By Flo bots. Tyson Ginish had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ginish shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says LaPlaguea as he avoids it easily.

and Ginish counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

LaPlaguea is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ginish has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. LaPlaguea is looking to defend but Ginish has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for LaPlaguea! Ginish pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, LaPlaguea taps out and this one is all over!

McQueen flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Jhonson anticipates the leg and manages to get behind McQueen and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Jhonson slips an arm under McQueen chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Jhonson has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Jhonson is squeezing on McQueen like an anaconda would it's prey. McQueen fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

I looks like Monkey might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
