Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joey Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Vespa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dan Vespa was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Vespa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Vespa keeps the fight on the outside.
Aldo tries to close the distance and clinch but Vespa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dan Vespa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vespa darts in trying to clinch
and Aldo counters with a three punch combo that has Vespa backing up. Vespa nods at Aldo to acknowledge the strikes.
Vespa darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vespa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aldo moves away.

Vespa scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Aldo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vespa on the ground.

Vespa has hold of Aldo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Aldo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Vespa cranks the arm and Aldo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Aldo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
