The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but King moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
King misses with a double jab.
Wright throws a combination that misses
and King counters with a series of strikes. Wright will be more careful next time no doubt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by King.
King trying to control the action but Wright is working from the bottom.
King working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
King creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

NOG misses with a few strikes there.
NOG shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Big NOG seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
NOG shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well.
NOG fails to land the takedown.
Marcus Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big NOG.
NOG fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
