The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Padilha darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Padilha wants to pass the guard but Rios is defending well.
Rios trying to hold on to Padilha's head to control him but Padilha postures up.
Rios knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Padilha on the ground.

Padilha is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rios is just riding it out for now. Padilha eventually gives up the hold.
Rios might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Rios is controlling Padilha's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Rios is trying to maintain the position but Padilha is very close to passing his half guard.
Rios wants to get back to his feet.

Padilha is looking for a kimura but Rios is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Padilha to get the leverage.

Padilha is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rios doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Padilha.
Rios regains full guard. Nicely done.

Padilha is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Padilha looks gassed!
Padilha tries to free his leg and advance position but Rios is retaining full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Padilha won't allow Rios to get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Galvao tries for a takedown but Blackwater sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Galvao tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Galvao fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Blackwater lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Galvao backs up against the cage.

It looks like Antonio Galvao has been cut.
Blackwater throws an overhand right that drops Galvao like a sack of potatoes! Blackwater dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
