The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Manson is fending him off so far but Rodrigo persists. Nope, Manson circles away and we're back to standing.
Manson misses with the combination.
Rodrigo blocks a head kick by Manson.

Rodrigo takes the fight into the clinch.
Manson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rodrigo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Manson smiles and moves away.
Rodrigo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Manson as he jumps to the side.
Charles Manson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rogerio Rodrigo.
Rodrigo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Manson but Manson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manson stalks Rodrigo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rodrigo's face. Rodrigo staggers backwards, shaken.

Rodrigo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Manson sprawls well initially but Rodrigo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Rodrigo passes the guard and advances to mount!

Manson has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Rodrigo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Manson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
You can see the frustration on Manson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Howard but Howard pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hunter shoots for a takedown but Howard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Goodspeed lands a really nice looking cross but James seems unphased.
Goodspeed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but James moves away.
Goodspeed connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent James tumbling to the canvas! Goodspeed pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! James was done - good stoppage!

Valentine lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like The Hulk has been cut.

Valentine breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Valentine tries a head kick but it misses.
Hulk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Valentine circles away.

Hulk has control of Valentine's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Valentine regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Hulk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hulk takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hulk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hulk has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Valentine manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hulk's guard. Nice work there by Valentine.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Hulk counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hulk's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Valentine is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Hulk passes Valentine's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Glover rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dela Cruz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Glover feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Dela Cruz sprawling to the canvas! Dela Cruz rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Glover finish him?!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Glover connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Dela Cruz tumbling to the canvas! Glover pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Dela Cruz was done - good stoppage!
