With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricky Fountain!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mitchell shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mitchell showed some decent athleticism there.
Mitchell is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Mitchell looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Fountain has given up his back.
Fountain rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Mitchell looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fountain has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mitchell is working away from the top position though.

Mitchell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fountain doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mitchell.

Fountain is looking for a sweep. Mitchell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fountain pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Mitchell stands and throws Fountain's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Mitchell is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fountain is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Mitchell throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Mitchell get's back to his feet.
Fountain scores with a nice head shot.
Mitchell misses with a body shot.
Fountain stuffs the takedown.

Fountain gets a clinch.
Mitchell goes for a takedown in the clinch but Fountain prevents it.

Fountain manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Mitchell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fountain looking for a guillotine here but Mitchell defends easily.

Fountain bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mitchell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fountain wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Fountain tries for a kimura but Mitchell is defending well.
Mitchell is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Mitchell tries to kick Fountain off but Fountain keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Mitchell manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Fountain is pushing down on Mitchell's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mitchell is fighting to maintain full guard but Fountain has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mitchell wants to get back to his feet.

Mitchell tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Fountain has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Fountain is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mitchell can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
