The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Fillman wants to break the clinch but can't.
Schilt prevents Fillman from breaking the clinch.

Schilt lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fillman backwards.
Schilt content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Schilt lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Schilt is working Fillman over against the cage.
Fillman wants to break free but Schilt has control.

Schilt manages to break the clinch.
Fillman stuffs the takedown attempt from Schilt. Schilt gets slowly back to his feet.
Schilt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fillman circles away.
Fillman throws a lazy right hand but Schilt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Schilt stuns Fillman with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Fillman throws a big shot that misses.

Schilt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fillman moves away.
The fighters circling - Fillman throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fillman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Schilt throws a body punch but Fillman moves out of range.
Fillman keeps the fight on the outside.

Fillman feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Schilt sprawling to the canvas! Schilt rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Fillman finish him?!

It looks like Gilbert Schilt has been cut.

Schilt takes the fight into the clinch.
Fillman blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Schilt goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A right hook to the body lands for Fillman.
Fillman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Fillman breaks the clinch.
Fillman cracks Schilt with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Schilt tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Fillman pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Schilt is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aon Fillman!
