The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Betrano looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Humpert has closed the distance and engaged Betrano in a clinch.

Humpert has picked Betrano up - he's going for a ride! Humpert dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Humpert wants to free his trapped foot but Betrano is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Humpert content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Humpert seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Betrano for as long as he can get away with.

Humpert bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Humpert remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Humpert counters with a shoot takedown. Betrano fights it but they end up in guard.
Betrano is breathing heavily.
Humpert controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Humpert thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Betrano is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Humpert wants to control from the top but Betrano keeps moving.

Humpert slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Humpert looking to sit in guard and control but Betrano gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Humpert manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Humpert tries to control but Betrano wriggling away.

Humpert has hold of Betrano's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Betrano manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Markus Humpert overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Humpert has control of Betrano's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Betrano regains control of the situation pretty easily.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Humpert feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Humpert is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Betrano has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Betrano tries to lock up and control but Humpert gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Humpert wants to finish this one by submission but Betrano is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Humpert.
Betrano is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Betrano defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Humpert.
Humpert is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Betrano is in real trouble.

Humpert is working for a rear naked choke. Betrano is not defending it well and Humpert has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Betrano refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Betrano's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amadeus fakes the leg kick and cracks Baddings in the body.
Amadeus fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Amadeus fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Baddings.
Baddings sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Baddings looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Amadeus scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
A head kick lands from Amadeus that sends Baddings to the canvas. Baddings tries to scramble back to his feet but Amadeus brings him back down into side control.

Baddings is rocked!
Amadeus remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Baddings is still in real trouble! Can Amadeus finish him?

Amadeus lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Baddings crumples to the floor! Amadeus milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
