The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago darts in and clinches Ape up against the cage.

Ape goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Ivan Drago has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drago really wants to buck Ape off and get back to his feet.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ape lands a big uppercut and Drago crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Drago looks OK. Ape waves Drago back to his feet!

Oh Drago is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ape tries to break the clinch but Drago is controlling the position.

Drago throws a left that rocks Ape and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Drago dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Ape regain composure!

and Drago counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That has opened up Man Ape's cut even more.

Ape is rocked!
Man Ape seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drago circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Ape to the canvas! Ape doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Drago keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
