Crane prevents Hertz from breaking the clinch.

Hertz wants to control from the top but Crane keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Crane can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hertz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Crane uses from the top position.

Kalua lands a left and a right that sends Sponseller crashing to the canvas! Kalua dives into mount looking to finish!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kalua moves to take his opponent's back.
Oh Sponseller is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kalua working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Sponseller is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Kalua has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Sponseller taps out!
