The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jurgen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chavez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Blaster is just riding it out for now. Chavez eventually gives up the hold.
Chavez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blaster with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Chavez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Chavez thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Blaster to regain full guard.

Blaster decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Chavez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Blaster manages to avoid it.

Blaster changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chavez tries to avoid it but Blaster manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chavez to the ground. Chavez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chavez connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Blaster! He's out on his feet! Chavez rushes in and drops Blaster with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
