The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Smit looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Suarus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Suarus tries to clinch up but Smit circles away and keeps his distance.
Suarus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Suarus looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Suarus shoots in looking for a takedown. Smit tries to sprawl out of it but Suarus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smit manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
