Cote shoots in for a takedown but Syrja shows good takedown defense.

Cote forces Syrja back against the cage and clinches.
Cote tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Syrja smiles and moves away.
Syrja fails with the takedown

and Cote counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cote.

Cote lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Syrja is looking to control Cote's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Syrja avoid being mounted?
Syrja moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

It looks like Chuck Little has been cut.
The crowd goes nuts as Sharpe knocks Little out cold with a massive hammerfist! Sharpe Jumps to his feet and climbs on top of the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Batchiska had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hermiston is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Batchiska Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hermiston's back instead.
Niko Batchiska has got the better of the ground game so far.

Hermiston is trying to get back to his feet but Batchiska has full control of the position and if anything, Hermiston has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Batchiska seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Hermiston's chin but Hermiston turns very nicely into Batchiska's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Hermiston.

Thomas is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Johnson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Johnson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Thomas anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Johnson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Thomas slips an arm under Johnson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Thomas has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Thomas is squeezing on Johnson like an anaconda would it's prey. Johnson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
