The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saliva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Saliva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Saliva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Saliva won't allow Payn to sweep him here.
Saliva wants to pass the guard but Payn is keeping the position.

Payn is looking for a triangle here but Saliva uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Payn tries to buck Saliva off but Saliva is having none of it.
Payn gets back to half guard.

Payn is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Saliva is tapping! Great win for Payn!

I really don't envy Trigg right now.

Trigg breaks Wageman's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Trigg is really struggling to control Wageman but he's trying to hold on to the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wageman has his foot on Trigg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Trigg works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frank Trigg.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Trigg, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

I think Hamilton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hands Up-Lloyd Banks. Johnny Jonners will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The crowd seem to be enjoying Hughes's choice of entrance music: Country Boy Can Survive. Matt Hughes struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him.
