Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Henry Downey!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid body kick from Downey.
Cross throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Downey's waist but Downey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cross off to one side.
Cross shoots for a double leg takedown but Downey sprawls well. He's pushed Cross's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A combination from Cross does no damage.
Cross misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cross shoots in but Downey avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The fighters circling - Cross throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Downey drops Cross with a right and a left! Downey comes rushing in but Cross regains his composure and manages to keep Downey in guard.

Cross throws a sloppy head kick and Downey moves out of range easily.
Henry Downey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Cross takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cross shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Downey but Downey pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Downey drops Cross with a right and a left! Downey comes rushing in but Cross regains his composure and manages to keep Downey in guard.
Oh Cross is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Downey decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Downey lands with a right and another and another! Cross is in big trouble! Downey lands again and this time it's lights out for Cross! A quality knockout there for Downey.

Brown wants to control but Black is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Brown should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

It looks like Jamison Aleksy has been cut.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aleksy can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ryuu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Aleksy is still in real trouble! Can Ryuu finish him?
Aleksy wants to sweep but no luck.
Aleksy seems to have recovered his senses.

Blick feints and as Simpson raises his hands in defense, Blick changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Simpson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Blick is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Blick is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Blick has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Blick is squeezing on Simpson like an anaconda would it's prey. Simpson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
