The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fiend clinches up with Gunn and pushes him back against the cage.
Fiend tries to score a body lock takedown but Gunn shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Fiend tries to pull guard but Gunn won't allow it.
Gunn tries for a takedown. No joy.

Gunn has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fiend regains guard immediately.
Fiend is looking to stand up but Gunn isn't so interested in that idea.
Gunn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fiend is keeping the position for now.

Gunn drops back looking for a leg! Fiend is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fiend manages to kick Gunn off! Gunn jumps back into Fiend's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Fiend counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

That was a close second round but I would say that Michael Andersen will probably get the nod.

Witcher had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Boyce is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Witcher Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Boyce's back instead.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Witcher is trying to stick to Boyce's back but Boyce is turning into Witcher. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Witcher's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Boyce.
