Almeida shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Almeida jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Karl manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

de Salsa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Veechi is not content to let de Salsa control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
de Salsa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Veechi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are battling for position here. Veechi manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Veechi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was slick! de Salsa rolls with it to try and escape but Veechi cranks on the arm and de Salsa is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Cabrera looks to land a left hand but Uri moved out of range nicely.
Cabrera throws a sloppy head kick and Uri moves out of range easily.
Uri bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cabrera darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Cabrera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Uri to the mat! Uri manages to get full guard.
