Undercard bout

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dak Ishii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nor Gajid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ishii kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Insane in the membrane by Cypress Hill. Nor Gajid is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ishii misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Ishii darts in and clinches Gajid up against the ropes.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ishii takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Ishii is trying to trip Gajid. He has hold of a leg but Gajid is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ishii persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ishii looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gajid with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Gajid feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
