Sodo fails with the takedown.
Sodo is looking to clinch but Suzuki is avoiding it.

Sodo has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Suzuki should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sodo has tightened it up now! Suzuki should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Noham kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Chase The Devil. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Noham closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Li wants to improve his position but Noham is controlling well.
Noham trying to pass the guard but Li defending well.
Li tries to roll over but Noham keeps him under control.
Still in half guard, Noham seems content to control.
Li is looking for a sweep. Noham is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Noham tries to pass to full mount but Li defends it.

Noham seems to be working for a kimura but Li defends the submission attempt.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Li stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Noham swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Noham has his foot on Li's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Li works his way back into a safe position though.

Li wants to finish this one by submission but Noham is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Li.

Li throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Noham has his hands clasped together but Li breaks the hold and Noham is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Li!

Oh but Sparta is tightening it up a little... Tomioka has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tomioka reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tomioka taps out! nice BJJ there by Sparta!

Belfort avoids a kick to the body.
Belfort throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nogeira's waist but Nogeira gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Belfort off to one side.

Nogeira shoots in and bounces Belfort off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Nogeira has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Belfort is proving hard to escape from.
Nogeira with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Nogeira trying to control the position from guard on top but Belfort is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nogeira loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Belfort is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Belfort pushes a forearm under Nogeira's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Nogeira is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
