The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wood darts in and clinches Plan up against the cage.
Plan just leaning against Wood, taking a breather.
Wood tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wood tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Plan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wood wants to break free but Plan has control.
Plan wants to break free but Wood has control.
Wood goes for a takedown attempt but Plan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Wood fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Plan sprawls well initially but Wood persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Plan wants to get back to his feet.
Wood looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Plan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Wood is looking for a kimura but Plan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wood to get the leverage.
Wood tries to stand but can't do so whilst Plan controls his leg.
Plan wants to get back to his feet.

Wood wants to take a breather but Plan is having none of it.
Wood is really struggling to control Plan but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Plan tries to kick Wood off but Wood keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Plan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Plan is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wood moves into range and connects with a jab.
Wood throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Plan's waist but Plan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wood off to one side.

Wood misses with a takedown attempt - Plan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Plan moves into range and clinches up with Wood.

Lock thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lock takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Lock has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sukihara defend it? Lock steps over the head and cranks it - Sukihara is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Lock!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Granite throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wilander steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Granite.
Wilander closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Sebastian Granite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Granite throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Wilander feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Joe dodges the punch combination from Halme.
Joe shoots in for a double leg but Halme sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Joe throws a chopping leg kick but Halme manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Joe will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Joe scores with a nice head shot.
Halme tries to bum rush Joe with a series of wild strikes but Joe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Halme drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Joe circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Halme to the canvas! Halme doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Joe keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
