The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mackie drives through and clinches with Liouz against the cage.

Liouz has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mackie clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Liouz misses with a punch to the head.

Mackie tightens his grip and picks Liouz up, before dumping him to the ground. Liouz manages to land in guard.
Liouz is trying to control the position but Mackie postures up.

Liouz tries for a takedown but Mackie manages to get underhooks.

Liouz wants the takedown. Mackie is fighting it off but Liouz persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mackie's guard against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Mackie manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mackie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mackie manages to capitalize on a mistake by Liouz to take his back!

Mackie pushes Liouz up against the cage in a clinch.

Mackie tightens his grip and picks Liouz up, before dumping him to the ground. Liouz manages to land in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mackie doesn't have the hooks in and Liouz manages to turn into his guard.
Mackie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Liouz wants to control from the top but Mackie keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Liouz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mackie's waist but Mackie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Liouz off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cung Liouz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
