The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groove moves in looking to clinch but Nugget pushes him off.
Groove thuds his right hand into Nugget's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nugget looks to land a combination but Groove avoids it well.

Groove looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Nugget is staying active underneath Groove, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Nugget might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Groove takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Nugget tries to kick Groove off but Groove keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Nugget has one foot on Groove's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Ted Nugget seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Groove is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Nugget bucks up and throws Groove to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Groove in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Nugget tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Groove!

Landfill is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Landfill is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sundin dives into side control.
Sundin controls the position.

Sundin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
You can see the frustration on Landfill's face as Sundin controls the position.
Landfill is trying to get back to his feet.
Sundin tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Landfill taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Sundin doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Dee closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Venkman regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Dee.
Dee cracks Venkman with a solid left hand.
