The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa is looking to land body kicks.
Balboa throws a head kick that misses.
Sloppy strikes from Balboa. Those never looked like landing.
A head kick from Rua lands but Balboa takes it in his stride.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rua, right into the meat.

and Rua counters with a nice low kick that buckles Balboa's knee momentarily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rua fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Balboa has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rua throws a leg kick which misses Balboa's front leg but catches the back leg as Balboa tries to avoid it.
Rua lands a big head kick that sends Balboa tumbling to the mat! Rua takes a step backwards and waves Balboa back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Rocky Balboa has been cut.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Balboa crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rua - the referee stops the clock and Balboa gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rua. Balboa manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Balboa chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rua can pounce on him.

Rua lands a big head kick that sends Balboa tumbling to the mat! Rua takes a step backwards and waves Balboa back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Rua feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Balboa's calf.
Balboa misses the body punch
and Rua counters with a head kick that drops Balboa to the mat! Balboa scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Balboa is rocked!

Balboa on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Balboa seems to have recovered his senses.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Rua! Balboa is out on his feet! Rua rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Balboa is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Balboa is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Tolits misses with a body kick.
Tolits does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Tolits walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Lito Tolits has been cut.
Spider lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Tolits head around and knocks him out cold! Spider hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
