Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Everybody Knows My Name. Pierre has chosen Indestructable by Disturbed as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Jones pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Pierre was done - good stoppage!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Herbert West!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West wants to clinch up but Adams keeps it at a distance.
Adams fails to land the takedown.

Adams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
West tries to reverse the position but Adams maintains control.

Adams wants to finish this one by submission but West is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Adams.
West tries to hold on but Adams pushes him away.

Adams working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Adams moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, West has worked his arm free - good work by West!

West is not content to let Adams control the position.

Adams is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but West is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adams is breathing heavily.
Adams wants to stand but West has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Adams postures up.
West tries to land a sweep but no joy.
West trying to keep a closed guard but Adams is proving a slippery customer.

West working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Adams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Adams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

West is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
West wants to lay and pray for a moment but Adams keeps working.
Adams won't allow West to pass to mount.

West is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Adams is looking to improve his position.
West is taking a breather. Adams says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Adams tries to get to full guard but West has control of the leg.
