Noga keeps the fight on the outside.
Reaver tries to clinch but Noga is having none of it.
Zach Reaver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wild pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Pennant.
Wild misses with a head kick.
Pennant thumps Wild with a low kick.
Pennant lands a high kick!
Wild pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Wild throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Pennant closes the distance and clinches.

Pennant breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wild throws a head kick that misses
and Pennant counters with a head kick. That will keep Wild thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Wild crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pennant - the referee stops the clock and Wild gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pennant. Wild manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Pennant makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Wild really felt that one!

Pennant with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Pennant throws a leg kick which misses Wild's front leg but catches the back leg as Wild tries to avoid it.

Pennant lands a big head kick that sends Wild tumbling to the mat! Pennant takes a step backwards and waves Wild back to his feet - he wants the finish!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rua lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Anami has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Anami and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Anami clobbers Rua with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

jeffers feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Thompson sprawling to the canvas! Thompson rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can jeffers finish him?!
