The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Way shoots in and drives through. Pot sprawls well.
Pot with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Pot throws a lazy head kick
letting Way counter with a right hand.
Pot tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Way was well out of range. Poor timing from Pot.
Pot misses with a kick to the body

and Way counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Way.
Way taking a breather.
Way wants a takedown but no success here.
Way blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Way really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Way lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Way is just content to waste time from the top position. Pot takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pot is on top in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pot's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Pot loads up on a big left hand. Way felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Pot looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Way can't hide his disappointment, as Pot celebrates the victory.

Tzaraath keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Mater feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Tzaraath's calf.
Mater tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Tzaraath is able to avoid easily.

Tzaraath throws a looping overhand right but Mater ducks down to avoid it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mater lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tzaraath has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tzaraath and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Tzaraath is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Tzaraath sends Mater crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Tzaraath is motioning to the referee to let Mater up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Tzaraath cracks Mater with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Tzaraath has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mater to stand back up!

Mater goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Oh Mater is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tzaraath lands a big uppercut and Mater crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mater looks OK. Tzaraath waves Mater back to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tzaraath drops Mater with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mater looks back up at him and smiles so Tzaraath waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Jeez, Larry Mater's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Larry Mater's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
