Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between angry looser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ippo Makunochi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). angry looser had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The key to victory for angry looser has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
looser tries to close the distance and clinch up but Makunochi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
looser shoots in and drives through. Makunochi sprawls well.

Makunochi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Makunochi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

I think Gunj might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Shipping up to boston . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Gunj pushes Dir away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dir gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
