The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zeke pinned against the cage. Zeke gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Zeke counters with a three punch combo that has Nakamura backing up. Nakamura nods at Zeke to acknowledge the strikes.

A jab-cross combination lands for Zeke and sends Nakamura crashing to the mat! Zeke follows him down to the mat - Nakamura regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nakamura tries to roll over but Zeke keeps him under control.

Zeke seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zeke stands up and beckons Nakamura to join him on the feet.

Ryu Nakamura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nakamura changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zeke tries to avoid it but Nakamura manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zeke to the ground. Zeke escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Orbach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Haskins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters had to take extra time to make weight as they missed the initial 155lb limit. Jerry Orbach came in at 157.1 and Kevin Haskins came in at 156.7 but after the extra two hours, both guys managed to get within the one pound allowance. No doubt it will have affected them physically though, so let's see if that has an impact on the fight. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

No joy there for Orbach, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Orbach lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Haskins backs up against the cage.

It looks like Kevin Haskins has been cut.

Haskins shoots in and gets a takedown into Orbach's guard.

Haskins drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Orbach manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Haskins has Orbach in his guard.
