Main Event:

Manolito Tai Kung (6-0) Vs Samuel Rodrigues (8-0) (Welterweight Title Fight)

Our main event, for the HFC Welterweight Championship of the World, features two excellent fighters who have never tasted the bitterness of defeat.  Two men who are gladiators, warriors, champions.  One man holds the gold, wears the crown, and welcomes the challenge.  The other is hungry, focused, and been on a tear.  Something has to give in this fight, someone has to lose.  Only one many can walk away with the belt.
Our challenger, coming in at 6 wins and 0 losses, undefeated 21 year old out of the Philippines, following in Manny's footsteps, is Manolito Tai Kung.  A very versatile fighter, Kung displays some excellent striking skills as he is well versed in both MT and boxing.  He's been known to handle himself well on the ground too by making good use of his wrestling and purple BJJ belt.

Undefeated in his first 4 professional HFC fights (3 as SMASH), Kung has fought his way to the top and has earned his shot at the gold.  The man is hunger, and will give everything he has to walk away a champion.

And standing in his way, reigning undisputed, undefeated, HFC Welterweight Champion of the World, Samuel Rodrigues!!!

At 26 years old, Rodrigues has been around the block.  He's put down every man who's ever stepped in front of him and has finished 7 of his 8 fights, and each of his professional MMA fights, by way of submission.

Rodrigues is not a striker, he loathes being on his feet in the cage.  Fortunately, he has displayed, time and again, the ability to take the fight to the ground.  Once this man is on the ground with his opponent, the fight is over.  He's never walked away from a professional fight without forcing his opponent to tap out.  Quite an accomplishment these days.

This fight has all the makings of a "keep ya on your toes" showdown, but could easily be over in a matter of seconds.  With Rodrigues' dominant ground game and ability to finish, and Kung's ability to KO, either fighter could walk away with a win in the first round.  With that being said, Kung's training on the ground could make it difficult for Rodrigues to lock in a submission, and will give him a chance if the fight goes to the ground.  If this fight stays standing, Kung will be walking away with the belt.

Rickson Silva (3-0) Vs Joseph Jantan (12-5) (Middleweight)

When you look at the tale of the tape, this fight doesn't appear to be much more than a pushover fight between the more experienced and accomplished Jantan and the new blood, Silva.   Jantan, 27, with an impressive record overshadows the undefeated Silva.  But Silva is a talented fighter who's been in the gyms doing work, and his brief fight history shows that he is skilled, ready, and very capable of holding his own against Jantan.

Jantan holds an impressive 12-5 record, having spent most of his time on the islands.  Now, in the mainlands, he lost his HFC debut fight to Dixon Ulster at HFC 5 and is looking to bounce back like he always does.  Coming off his first ever back to back losses, you can bet that Jantan will be looking to finish this fight in highlight fashion.

His wonderful wrestling skills and his purple belt in BJJ will be what he relys upon in this fight, but he will definitely have his work cut out for him against the black belt Silva.

His opponent, Silva, is undefeated in his young career.  With a 3-0 record, Silva has displayed some amazing ground skills.  His ability to grapple is bolstered by his remarkable wrestling skills, and not to mention, Silva is BJJ black belt.

All three of Silva's fights have ended with his opponent tapping out, and he's faced a Gracie from CEC, and two tough opponents from the HFC in Tau and Happiest.  This fight will almost surely go to the ground, but if I'm Jantan, I may be exploring tactics to give me an edge in this fight because thought he's a slightly better wrestler than Silva, Silva's BJJ skills are far superior to Jantan"s and I just can't see how Jantan walks away from this fight with a win.

This fight would make the TWGC fans oooh and awe, so make sure you tune in to catch these two main events.

Borris the Blade (6-1) Vs Jorge Galvao (3-1) (Middleweight)

Blade is a great striker, with heavy training in MT.  He started his career with an impressive 6-0 record before being submitted in his last fight by Ralo Gracie in HFC 6.  Despite the loss, Blade is still confident in his abilities to knock out his opponent as he has in each of his previous fights before that loss.  He'll be looking to jump back into the win column and get back to his KO ways when he steps into the cage against Galvao.

Galvao has an impressive 3-1 record in his young career and is also looking to secure a win.  He's riding a 2 fight win streak and will no doubt be looking to take this fight to the ground to have a chance against Blade.  Rumors out of his gym are that Galvao hasn't trained with the same intensity he's used to, and they think a win here could really bolster his moral.

This fight is simple.. if it stays standing, Blade will end this fight with a first round KO.  But if Galvao can get this fight to the ground, his brown belt in BJJ will be the difference and he will most likely find a way to submit Blade.

Balink Tarlah (2-1) Vs John Henry (4-0) (Lightweight)

Tarlah comes into this fight with a 2-1 record, his only loss to heavy handed Conor Butcher in HFC championship series tournament.  He bounced back in his next fight and defeated Taylor in the second round, but decided to drop out of the tournament to focus on training.  Now, he steps back into the cage again, only 1 day after the tournament finale that he could have potentially been a part of, to face undefeated John Henry.  Tarlah is a wonderful wrestler with basic boxing skills and a blue belt in BJJ.  He will need to utilize those skills against his opponent Henry.

Henry is a wonderful MT striker with some solid defensive wrestling skills.  Undefeated through 4 fights, and coming off a win in his last fight, his debut match against Togachi Nakamoto at HFC Fight Night 4, Henry will be looking to KO Tarlah as well.

This will be an interesting fight to see how Tarlah adjusts to his opponent to try and get this win.  We know Henry will be coming out looking to end the fight early, but Tarlah is essentially a wild card in this fight.
