UnderGround FC 37 featured Undisputed Middleweight Champion Giuseppe Turturro bringing his world class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt experience to bear as he attempted to make his first title defense against hard hitting knockout artist Yewis Mybitch. Both men have won the majority of their fights within the opening round, making this a must see main event for the ages.

In the co-main event the unfortunately named Test Fighter A seeks redemption, having had his five fight winning streak broken in his most recent fight. Will his power punches be enough to outclass the boxing pedigree of Pedro Navas?

[Main Event]

-[Middleweight Division, Championship bout: Yewis Mybitch vs. Giuseppe Turturro©
Round 1 – Knowing that his best chance to win this fight was an early knockout, Yewis came heavy straight out of the gate, but the wily champion avoided the blows. Turturro clinched, pulled guard, and slapped on a lightning quick armbar. With this victory, Giuseppe Turturro becomes the first Middleweight Champion in the history of UnderGround Fight Club to successfully defend the title, officially breaking the curse. Giuseppe Turturro def. Yewis Mybitch via Submission (Armbar) at 0:32 of round 1 to retain the Undisputed UnderGround Fight Club Middleweight Championship of the World!

[Co-Main Event]

-[Welterweight Division: Test Fighter A vs. Pedro Navas
Round 1 – Pedro Navas clinched early and went to work with short range punches. Test Fighter A tried valiantly to escape the bad position but couldn't get free.

Round 2 – Test Fighter A opened this round with a big uppercut and Navas responded by clinching once again. More of the same as Navas continued to chisel away at the extremely durable Test Fighter.

Round 3 – The first half of this round took place at a striking distance but Test Fighter A was too tired and battered to really make it count. Both fighters were swinging wild here. Navas managed to clinch midway through and went back to pouring on short range shots to win yet another round. Pedro Navas def. Test Fighter A via Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26).

-[Welterweight Division: Joey Simone vs. Wally Kruschev
Round 1 – Joey Simone opened with a missed spinning back kick and ate a left hook from Wally Kruschev. Simone started finding a home early for his jab, poking and prodding Kruschev from the outside while slipping the returning fire. Kruschev started to come back late in this round and a slugfest ensued between the two for the better part of a minute that had the fans on their feet. The round ended with both fighters throwing leg kicks on each other.

Round 2 – Simone began leaning heavily on his leg kick attacks in this round while Kruschev circled on the outside. Simone clinched and landed a few shots but Kruschev broke free. Midway through the round, Kruschev started firing back with leg kicks and soon the two were trading slapping low kicks again.

Round 3 – Simone really took control in this round. Kruschev still managed to land some shots but really it was all Simone, especially in the moments that he was able to hold a clinch and work the dirty boxing. Joey Simone def. Wally Kruschev via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

-[Welterweight Division: Dropkick Flexy vs. Donald McCalister
Round 1 – Donald McCalister tried to score a takedown but Dropkick Flexy stuffed it and clinched the man up. Flexy tried to jump guard and the two separated, but McCalister clinched immediately. Rinse and repeat, the two were clinched for the third time and this time Flexy managed to pull guard. Flexy spent the rest of the round submission spamming.

Round 2 – McCalister managed to stay on the outside and survive the takedown attempts early before clinching with him. Flexy pulled guard and once again submission spammed out the next few minutes of the round.

Round 3 – Flexy clinched early and tried to pull guard but McCalister broke the clinch. For the first time, McCalister pushed forward and began landing punches and kicks that put Flexy on the back pedal. Dropkick Flexy def. Donald McCalister via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

[Undercard Bouts]

-[Lightweight Division: Johny Boom vs. Eddy Gordo
Round 1 – Eddy Gordo opened the fight by clinching and then executing a trip takedown into half guard on top. Johny Boom attempted to sweep and Gordo passed into full mount! Gordo postured up and began raining ground and pound down on Boom! Gordo threatened with a submission but went back to dropping ground and pound instead. Boom managed to get back to half guard and Gordo mostly took the remainder of the round off, landing a few shots for points.

Round 2 – Gordo clinched and took the fight to the ground, landing in guard on top once again. Boom with the high guard, working for a possible triangle or armbar. Gordo started dropping elbows from guard. Near the end of the round, Gordo passed into half guard and spent the remaining minute working ground and pound.

Round 3 – Gordo shot in and took Boom down, landing in half guard on top. After landing some shots, Gordo stood back up for some reason. Boom tried very hard to clinch with Gordo and ate a right hand for his trouble. Boom clinched and Gordo landed a big knee before pulling guard. Boom attempted to work some ground and pound but Gordo controlled his wrists to mitigate the damage. Both fighters teased submission attempts and this fight came to a close. Eddy Gordo def. Johny Boom via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

-[Lightweight Division: Moe Lester vs. Andrew Balderas
Round 1 – Both fighters were swinging wildly but Moe Lester was hitting and not getting hit, putting a clinic on Balderas early.

Round 2 – Balderas managed to land some shots in this round, making Lester pay for his missed shots. However Moe Lester still absolutely dominated this round with his boxing.

Round 3 – Lester slowed down his assault a bit in this round, picking his shots more carefully so as to not allow Balderas to return fire so effectively. Moe Lester def. Andrew Balderas via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

-[Welterweight Division: Tshephang Batho vs. I Love You Man
Round 1 – Both fighters opened with wild strikes that missed by a mile. Tshephang Batho landed a nice uppercut and stuffed the takedown attempts of I Love You Man. I love You Man scored a takedown into guard. I Love You Man tried to pass the guard but Batho maintained the guard through to the end of the round.

Round 2 – I Love You Man attempted dozens of takedowns to start this round and Batho managed to stuff many of his attempts. Batho landed a jab but inevitably got taken down with Man in guard on top. I Love You Man wanted to pass the guard but couldn't accomplish it so the referee stood them up.

Round 3 – Batho opened with some straight punches early and I Love You Man spammed out some takedown attempts. Batho hurt Man with a counter uppercut but was content to circle on the outside safely without risking getting taken down again, much to the chagrin of the audience in attendance. Tshephang Batho def. I Love You Man via Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26).

-[Welterweight Division: Andy Sanches vs. Hamilton Scrapple
Round 1 – Andy Sanches came right out of the gate spamming takedown attempts that were easily stuffed by Hamilton Scrapple. For his part, Scrapple tied Sanches up on a failed takedown and clinched with him. Scrapple stalled out the majority of the round controlling Sanches against the cage. Near the end of the round the referee separated them. Sanches landed a few jabs before Scrapple clinched him up to finish the round.

Round 2 – Both men failed miserably at landing punches (or were amazing at deflecting punches depending on how you want to look at it) while Sanches tried desperately to bring the fight to the ground. Scrapple took Sanches down, landing in guard on top. In true Hamilton Scrapple fashion he stalled in the dominant position. After a referee standup at the one minute mark, Scrapple clinched once again... and stalled out the better part of a round before Sanches broke free and circled away. Scrapple clinched and pulled a little wall and stall to close out the round.

Round 3 – Scrapple executed a double leg takedown into half guard and Sanches got back to full guard. Sanches was working the high guard but Scrapple was content to stall on top. After the referee stood them up, Sanches landed a leg kick and Scrapple scored a takedown into guard on top. Scrapple controlled the position to close out yet another exciting round. Hamilton Scrapple def. Andy Sanches via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

-[Welterweight Division: Jack Falcon vs. Xay Bizihwaeile
Round 1 – Xay Bizihwaeile came out wild and aggressive and Jack Falcon was able to slip under his punches to counter with a right hand on the button. Bizihwaeile immediately switched to attempting takedowns instead of boxing but Falcon was able to nullify the effort. Falcon circled away and came back with a one-two combination, then a body kick, then a jab. Falcon was piecing Bizihwaeile up. Falcon landed a big combination that dropped Bizihwaeile! When his opponent got back to his feet, Falcon landed an uppercut that knocked Bizihwaeile out cold! Jack Falcon def. Xay Bizihwaeile via KO (Punch) at 0:50 of round 1.
