MACHINE FIGHT NIGHT 4 PREVIEW

By Mr Hughes

GAMMA MT is set for the largest event and most important milestone so far in the organisation’s history.  GAMMA MT has been on the rise in the KT scene and has to date held over 30 events, establishing itself as one of the largest and highly rated KT orgs in Tycoon.

On New Year’s Day - 1st January 2017 the finest KT org in Los Angeles showcases some of the best fighters on its roster in unquestionably the most highly anticipated GAMMA MT event in the history of the org. GAMMA MT is proud to present Machine Fight Night 4 in association with Machine Fight Gear.

The venue for this historic event is the 93,607 seater LA Memorial Colossuseum in Los Angeles.

In a plethora of highly anticipated fights, featuring no fewer than three title fights GAMMA MT has thrown down the gauntlet and delivered on its promises and created a stacked card, full of talented fighters in one of the most prestigious venues in Tycoon.

Main Event

185 lbs title – Duke McStoner (10-1) vs DBrickashaw Stevens (5-2)

21 year old Duke McStoner has proven himself as one of the top KT fighters in the world. The two time 185 lbs champion has already overcome most of his main challengers at 185 lbs.  His crowning moment was undoubtedly regaining the 185 lbs strap and avenging his only defeat against Corey McDonnell at GAMMA MT 21. McStoner will be seeking to extend his legacy even further at Machine Fight Night 4.

DBrickashaw Stevens is fast earning a reputation as the nearly man of the 185 lbs division. Two failed title attempts have left the New York native as gatekeeper for the 185 lbs strap.  He recovered well after his first title fight loss to Cory McDonnell with two successive TKO victories earning him another shot at the title where Duke McStoner would crush his dreams of winning the belt.  His recent victory over Muay Thai specialist Datri Damrongsak has thrust him right back into title contention and set up a rematch against McStoner.

Co-Main Event

265+ lbs title – Oson Bon (8-0) vs Alexander Berkman (5-2)

The co-main event features two of the top fighters in the 265+ lbs division.  They fought before at GAMMA MT 19 Bon vs Berkman back in September. On that occasion Bon came out on top after a devastating 3rd round knockout win in what was a close fight up until Bon caught Berkman with a big uppercut which ended the fight.  The famous win was the first title defence in what has been one of the most impressive title runs in GAMMA MT so far, with 4 title defences, and at only 20 years old with an unbeaten KT record of 8-0, Oson Bon is definitely one of the biggest stars in KT.

Meanwhile after the crushing defeat, Berkman  has come back strongly with decisive one punch victories over the highly ranked Steph Curry and Kaelin Calderwood, putting him right back into the title frame.

Berkman will be out to prove he has what it takes to be No 1 in the 265+ division.  At 20 and 21 years old respectively these two young guns still have the best of their careers ahead of them, but have both already produced some brilliant performances!  Don’t blink, or you could miss this one! It promises to be cracker!

265+ lbs – Michael White (6-2) vs Rico Verhoeven (1-0)

GAMMA MT’s ever first 265+ lbs champion Michael White’s career has not gone according to plan in recent months with two quick knockout losses to current champion Oson Bon, with their last encounter lasting just 43 seconds.  This Muay Thai specialist from Brooklyn, New York would put himself right back into the title picture with a win against Verhoeven , which could set up a historic third fight against Bon.

All the way from the Netherlands Rico Verhoeven, who at 26 years old is a relative latecomer to KT, made an impressive KT debut at Machine Fight Night 3. Experience should not be an issue as he will be 5 years the senior in this matchup and already has an MMA record of 8-3.

145 lbs title – Bunt Jernit (10-1) vs Chris Deal (4-3)

GAMMA MT Hall of Fame inductee Bunt Jernit needs no introduction. At just 21 years old he has achieved great things in KT and is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars on the GAMMA MT roster.  The only multi weight division champion and the only fighter to hold belts at different weights simultaneously has defended his 135 lbs title 3 times and his 145 lbs strap twice.  At Machine Fight Night 4 he will be hoping to successfully defend for a third straight time.

His opponent – Scotsman, Chris Deal has had a mixed KT career so far but has been thrust into the spotlight after his crushing defeat of  Albanian Muay Thai standout Timal Laffiager , who is most well known for his two tilts at the 145 lbs title against Bunt Jernit, one of which he came within a fraction of knocking Jernit out.

The win has handed Deal his own crack at Jernit, one which he is sure to grab with both hands!

185 lbs – Cory McDonnell (7-2) vs Jetmir Foj (5-0)

Canadian Cory McDonnell is another rising star in the KT world and is a former GAMMA MT 185 lbs champion.  He remains the only fighter so far to beat current champion Duke McStoner.  After losing his title in the rematch with McStoner he suffered a second straight loss to Datri Damrongsak but a good win in his last fight has set up this encounter with Foj.

Albanian striker, Jetmir Foj has an impressive KT record of 5-0. He is known for his devastating elbows, especially in the clinch and a win over McDonnell would set him up for a title showdown at 185 lbs.

170 lbs – John Que (4-3) vs Myron Gainz (0-0)

Former 185 lbs champion John Que has dropped down to 170 lbs where he is planning a title run that would make him only the second fighter in GAMMA MT history to become a multi weight champion.  His opponent has an MMA record of 2-0 and is making his KT debut.

155 lbs – Vince Bandito (0-1) vs Mateusz Biernat (0-0)

This fight has a European flavour to it as Frenchman Vince Bandito who as an MMA record of 3-0, lost his KT debut back in October takes on Mateusz Biernat from Warszawa in Poland who is making his KT debut.

205 lbs – Konor MacGregor (0-0) vs Hardie Rection (0-0)

Both fighters are making their debuts in the newly opened 205 lbs division.  Interestingly both fighters grew up together in Dublin, Ireland before moving to Amsterdam together to pursue a career in KT.  They have since each went their separate ways however and have no problem facing off against each other in the ring.

265 lbs – Ramon Gallegos (8-6) vs Crown Halo (1-0)

Ramon Gallegos is coming off a devastating 20 second loss in his title encounter with Love Bug at Machine Fight 2.  Jamaican native Crown Halo made an impressive KT debut back in October.  At 31 years old Gallegos’s best days may be behind him but will still have allot to prove against his younger opponent.

135 lbs – Ibrahim Chaka (0-2) vs Yuri Naharis (0-0)

This undercard bout features Ibrahim Chaka who has lost his first two KT fights in his contract with GAMMA MT. He will be under pressure for sure to leave with the win and get his KT career into motion.  His opponent, Yuri Naharis from Poland has an MMA record of 2-2 and is making his KT debut.

Machine Fight Gear have partnered once again with GAMMA MT to produce another exciting big prize opportunity fight night. The prizes up for grabs on the night will be:-
