Blitz NY presents BLITZKRIEG 128 OMNICRON!

The Note by BrotherHec

Intro

Ladies and gentleman we have an unbelievable card for you this satuday night. Within a few minutes of going on sale the entire Square Garden was sold out. New York will be looking to watching the biggest fight card they have had in what feels like a very long time. From Sam Hall to Orville Redenbacher the card has it all two champions going head to head with top opponents as the 170lbs title is on the line and the 205lbs title is on the line.We are only a few days away and its going to be an absolute insane night. Before we start I just want to mention that I have an interview with the one and only Orville Redenbacher that will be available in the next Tycoon Times. So, are you ready? Grab a bag of popcorn and lets get started!

Atlister the Demon vs Ladislav Hemsky

Well tonight the first main card fight is going to be absolutely insane as we get to witness two of Blitz NY light heavyweights collide. One is coming from the infamous Ascension as the other a very well known face within the Blitz NY cage. Atlister the Demon will take on Ladislav Hemsky in what has seemed to be a long time coming. Atlister who left Ascension shortly after Ascension 100 has moved his sights on becoming a future champion in Blitzkrieg. Not only will his sights be on the other light heavyweights who will be fighting tonight but also on the Light Heavyweight title itself. If he is hoping to make a name for himself here its definitely gotta be in his first showing against Hemsky. Although neither fighter is in the top ten in this division a win here tonight could certainly bump either one of them up into that respective area. Hemsky who has been with Blitz NY since Blitzkrieg 99 is no doubt a very good fighter who is well rounded in every area of the game. Fighting only seven times in Blitz he has had the weirdest pattern that I have seen recently. Losing his first fight by knockout in the first round he would later go on to win his next to fights by TKO only to lose a second time in Blitz but bouncing back to win another two fights after that. His most recent performance was after those two wins and it was a horrible defeat for him as he lost to none other than Wanderlei Vovchanchyn. Ladislav, now 28 years old, knows that this might be his last run at the light heavyweight championship. A loss here could really send him so far back that he might never get a shot at the belt he has desired to win so badly. Partridges fighter is said to be ready and better then ever and truthfully we wont expect anything less than the man who has years of experience behind him. The Pitbull whos sixteens wins have given him 2 fight of the night awards and one knockout of the night award but theres one thing this warrior has never had and never even fought for, a world title. He has scored it to be on the main card the first time since he suffered that horrible defeat to Ares Constantinides, who is actually fighting tonight as well. Ladislav has the weight of the world on his shoulders this coming weekend but its not half as heavy as it could be. Atlister the Demon is no fighter to be taken lightly in the slightest of ways. This guy is dangerous stringing knockouts and submissions together he is certainly someone you have to be very careful of when fighting. With age comes experience they say but theres also the problem with finishing your opponents. The now 32 year old fighter has not knocked out or submitted a single fighter since December 17th of 2011. What does this mean you might ask? Does he still have the ability to finish fights? Absolutely there is not a doubt in my mind he could rack up wins if he wanted to. But he will not knockout another opponent. The “old man” as they call him in the gym has no doubt earned a great reputation among his sparring partners as the man who never gives up. This makes a lot of sense because the Black Belt in BJJ has not ever tapped out in submissions or due to strikes. He never backs down and never gives up, This is whats going to make the fight so exciting truthfully. There is no doubt in my mind that’s what the fighter who lives in the Vatican wants to do, he wants to take this fight to the mat and work on submissions. There is simply no other way he could win. Ladislav on the other hand wants a quick knockout and boost his rank in the divison to string together enough wins to get a shot at Orville in the near future. MY PREDICITION: Ladislav. He is so much younger than his opponent and he has almost the same amount of experience. I believe, if his coaches at Riddum Elite were telling me the truth, this kid is looking to become a champion and it starts now. They have never seen him more on fire and his work ethic has improved dramatically. We will see how these two fair come Saturday. Good luck to both fighters its going to be a war in their.

Ares Constantinides vs Ima Yerface

Constaninides the second Blitz Champion has been with the org since Blitzkrieg 71, probably longer than most fighters can remember. It was then where he defeated the beloved Cookie Monster to claim the light heavyweight title. Ares currently holds the longest winning streak for the light heavyweight champion spot. Ares Constantinides is no doubt a fire in the cage and is looking to engulf anyone that comes near him. In his last five fights he has lost twice, to Ignatius Reilly and the Champion Orville Redenbacher. The 29 year old greek fighter has one thing on his mind right now and that is to defeat the new comer to the org Ima Yerface. Ima has been with the org for a couple of fights now but for someone like Ares who has been with it since it was practically conceived, everyone is a new comer. At one time he was ranked 10 in the world. At one time if you wanted a fight with Ares you were practically delusional. He was finishing guys left and right making it look like a game really. While he was becoming the champion of Blitz Ima Yerface was fending off contenders for his own belt. Ima Yerface one of the oldest fighters on this card has been fighting since august of 2009. When he finally made the switch over to Blitz he was very well received by the fans giving them an incredible fight to watch and taking home the victory and a new fan base. Immediately he was put up against a very popular and feared fighter in Moses Diggs where he earned the Fight of the Night award. Ima Yerface arguably lost that fight but the Judges had given it to Diggs who impressed them 3 out of the five rounds. A disappointed Yerface had only one thing left to do, go back to the gym and win again. After receiving the call to face the most successful champion Blitz has ever had Yerface had quickly accepted saying it would be an honor for him to do so. Most people have to think about wether or not they want to fight Ares the Greek warrior but not Yerface he knew a win here especially if it was a knockout would put him right back on the map. Ima who is currently ranked #13 in the division will take on the #8 fighter in the division and is more than confident he will claim a victory. We went around and took a poll from the local fight fans that had bought tickets and the disagreement between who was going to win this fight was absolutely alarming. Some said Yerface was to old while others said Diggs never won that fight against Yerface and Yerface will destroy Constantinides just like Diggs did. Constantinides has never been knocked out in the first round before, he was TKO’D a long time ago but never went unconscious, Moses Diggs put him out. So, if Diggs couldn’t do that to Yerface what makes people believe that Ares really has a shot? Well one he is a warrior who goes out with his hear on his sleeve every fight to take that title home. He is not going to take this fight and lose. His youthfulness argues that he is in the prime of his career while Yerface is older and has seemed not as impressive as he used to be. Truthfully this fight will probably end before the juges can score a single round. MY PREDICTION: Ares. I believe he is going to show what a fighter of Blitz really looks like and perhaps he knows that he is coming to the final shot at his beloved title once more. The #8 contender wins this match and he is certainly back to the top five. Its just a matter of going out and doing it. Good luck to both of the fighters.

Angelito Barraquinha vs Pierre Gautier

Angelito Barraquinha vs Pierre Gautier is certainly going to be a thriller! I really want to say this will be your fight of the night. I really want to say this will be the fight everyone remembers throughout the year but because this whole card is good ill tell you its just going to be a good fight to watch period. Angelito Barraquinha is the 30 year old prodigy under “Clever” Hans Schmidt. Formerly ranked as 15 in the world Barraquinha has no doubt every intention to get back on the winning side of things and fight for the title, oh wait he already is on the winning side of things. He has strung together 4 straight victories in Blitz. He ended the Blitz careers of two fighters and sent them on their way packing. Now the #6 contender looks to take out the #2 contender in what could very likely make him, a number one contender again. Its been almost a full year since he has had that belt around his waist and I could only imagine how much this fight actually means to him. He might think he has this fight in the bag but he has to realize that Gautier is the #2 contender for a reason. This is truly a match between legend and newcomer as Barraquinha has been with the org for far longer than anyone else have yet to see. He was the 2nd champion of his division. The second guy to hold that title. Now Pierre who has just one fight in the Cage looks to show all the fight fans that he is ready to become the champion by knocking out his opponent. Well heres the dilemma, Pierre has been known to be finished in the past and to finish his opponents. You have to wonder to yourself where will this fight take place exactly? Some could argue that Barraquinha will get absolutely murdered because the four fight winstreak he put together was only because those guys were bums and Gautier is no bum. Gautier is no doubt an explosive force in Blitz right now and everyone is talking about him. His second fight here and he is the third on the Main card? If you have never seen this guys fights before you are in for a real treat because this guy literally holds no punches and what hes got he will give it to you. Its no doubt a huge test for both of these fighters and really a key fight on this entire main card. I was able to go to Angelitos camp up in new york, my fighters live there so I go check up on them from time to time, and while I was there I stopped by the gym NYC Finest Punchmen. While I was there I witnessed things that I had not normally seen from Angelito, his sparring was top notch from his boxing to his Muay Thai he was elite he really had no weakness in his game at all. I watched as he sparred with his fellow fighters and really thought to myself this guy is really wanting that belt and while I was thinking that a young man came up and started talking with me. He told me that whenever we want to give up and continue on another day its Angelito who pushes them on and that’s why they look up to him. Hes not a fighter who settles for second best and certainly doesn’t do just enough he goes that extra mile. Here we have a story of the old lion vs the new lion as far as the division goes and while the majority of people that watch Blitz might be rooting for a possible matchup of McDermott and Gautier I think a surprise is in store. This fight will be a knockout for sure. Both men have more than an equal chance at winning this fight so I guess its time for MY PREDICTION: Angelito will win this fight. Although both men come from great managers I think the old lion as I said before is looking to reclaim his throne like the lion from Narnia. Unless a flash KO happens I really don’t see him losing this fight! Goodluck to both fighers on this exciting matchup.

Sam Hall vs Anthony Stark 170lbs Title

And Now…We finally get to the Co-Main event. A fight I have been waiting for a very long time. Sam Hall the most dominant welterweight champion that we have seen in Blitz NY will take on Anthony Stark a welterweight champion who has his own unbelievable record. The former UFC champion went on to defend his title five times before finally watching the Org close down. He went around from Org to Org trying to find a home in what was a very long walk. Currently Stark is on an impressive seven fight win streak. Four of the past seven fights come by way of submission one comes by a scary second round TKO. I think its safe to say that if you give this man an opening he will no doubt take it and run with it exploiting that mistake and pretty much making you look like an absolute idiot. Currently he was ranked #3 in the world in the welterweight division while hes only #19 pound for pound. Sam Hall on the other hand is as we all know ranked #1 in the world at Welterweight and #4 pound for pound. Now as far as we go in life we all know that the pound for pound rankings is more a less an opinion and truthfully unless hes at the same weight as his opponents we will never know if he is better than them. This for the entire welterweight division is a huge fight. Most guys who come to Blitzkrieg lose at least one fight and most of the time its their first fight in the Org but Sam Hall has never lost in this org. He has had two draws but redeemed both of them shortly after. Being that both of these guys are really impressive champions it would seem that this is a battle of who is the better champion. Now when you look at the records of both fighters there something will stick out and probably blow your mind about this upcoming fight. Anthony Stark, 26-11 has on 6 wins  by KO and 12 by submission while the rest of his victories are by decision. As far as his losses go he has been knocked out a shocking 5 times and submitted 3 times. Now what does this tell us? It tells us a bunch of things. One He doesn’t have the ability to knockout Sam Hall plain and simple. Why is that you may ask? Well Sam Hall has only been Tko’d once in his entire career and that was in his fourth fight I believe. While he was only submitted twice he still faces a huge danger in being submitted. Anthony Starks best shot in this fight would be to go for the submission. It wont be as easy as you might think it would be being that both of them are black belts. Truthfully this fight will hold a lot of weight in the division and at any moment the fight could end. Personally I think this fight will receive some kind of an award. I don’t believe it will be fight of the night but im willing to put money on it that it will be knockout or submission of the night winner. Are you ready? Its time for MY PREDICTION: Sam Hall is going to remain undefeated in Blitz and go on to soon become ranked higher up in the pound for pound list.

Orville Redenbacher vs Ignatius Reilly 205lbs title

Finally we come to the main event. Orville Redenbacher probably the greatest light heavyweight champion Blitz has ever seen looks to take on a devastating contender who has just recently come to Blitz NY and has knocked out all three of his opponents earning himself a quick title shot against Redenbacher. Orville as we all know has tied the most victories for his title. Since coming from the VFC people didn’t really know what to expect from Ignatius especially when he lost two of his last fights before transferring. When he stepped in the Cage at Blitz 116 he really started getting a lot of fans with a knockout victory over YB Sol Jr which gave him a Knockout of the night award. Four Blitz events later he would take on the former champion of the Division Ares Constantinides in Blitzkrieg 120: End All…Ares was put to sleep as well suffering a brutal knockout by the hands of Ignatius in the third round. Ignatius was on a two fight win streak and was looking to make it three and zero in Blitzkrieg by defeating top contender Brick Top which he did in Blitzkrieg 124: Liquid Zero. Brick Top was quickly sent down the ladder by losing via Tko in the second round. Ignatius was immediately showing everyone that he was a very different fighter. Training at The Cooker his sparring partners have been saying that he is more prepared than he has ever been for a fight. He looks near perfect in the training sessions and his coaches were telling me that Blitzkrieg can expect a new champion real soon. Its only days away but is Orville ready to give away his title to this ferocious contender? Orville who is looking to defend his title for a third time is on a nine fight win streak. He doesn’t look like he is ready to give up his reign anytime soon and slowly but surely he is looking to become a hall of famer here in Blitzkrieg. Traditionally Light heavyweight champions don’t defend their belt more than two times in Blitz the only one who has done it successfully is Constantinides but this is Redenbacher’s second title defense and he is looking to hold on to that belt for a long time. Orville and I were able to sit down and have an interview recently and it will be published in the next Tycoon Times if you would like to have a look but a few things I asked him he gave me very direct answers here’s a sample. I asked him he is looking to defend his title against a very tough opponent in Ignatius and I asked him what advantages he felt he had in the fight and he quickly responded, “I always pride myself in my game plans. Judging by the primary skills I will once again be an underdog in that department, so I will have to fight smart and keep him guessing.” I then asked him how he felt about Riellys victory over Ares and this is what he had to say, “Him getting the KO verses Ares was impressive. But those things happen. Sometimes you get caught. But he did lose the first round. I won all 5 rounds which i feel is harder to do.” Finally I asked him for any last words he would have against Ignatius and he fired off,“Ignatius keep your hands up! If i land clean you will be in trouble. All the Kings horses and all the Kings men won't be able to put you back together again!” So whats going to happen this Saturday night at the sold out New York arena? Will we have a new champion or will Orville Redenbacher retain his title and continue his dreams of being the best ever? MY PREDICTION: Orville will knockout out Ignatius and give him the rude introduction he has yet to receive. Redenbacher is the champion for a reason and I expect him to come in here and absolutely dominate the fight. I want to wish good luck for both fighters and I look forward to watching it.

Closing

Well in closing folks I really hope you enjoy this preview and I hope you tune into watch this mega fight that will surely change the shape of Blitzkrieg and all of MMA this coming Saturday. God bless you and those you love.
