Whats up guys! It's been a few events since I did a preview but now I have time so I won't stall - here is is

~UNDERCARD FIGHTS ~

(Current prediction record: 13-7)

#10 - Jay Smith vs. Mocanu Marian

Well at first glance, this fight seems like it should be Monacu's to win. He has a huge height advantage of 19 cm, and is 5 pounds heavier. The height will make it impossible for Jay to strike Mocanu, and the extra weight will make Mocanu hard to control on the ground. Mocanu is also the older fighter, and the more experienced fighter, with two fights already under his belt. With this said, the main hope for Jay Smith, is in the ground game - if Jay can take down Mocanu, then he should be able to submit Mocanu with no problem, as Jay has already earned his Brown Belt in BJJ, at the young age of 19!

Prediction  I'm going to root for the underdog here, and vote that Jay Smith wins his debut fight by submission in round 2!

#9 - Patrykos Paszkiewic vs. Alex Reynolds

Here we have a fight between two 18 year old fighters, who both stand at 190 cm tall. What an even matchup! Though Alex has already fought in two pro fights, this will be the debut fight for Patrykos. It seems like this fight will come down to one thing - whether or not Patrykos can take down Alex. Though Patrykos shows great BJJ ability having earned his Brown Belt at the young age of 18 - Alex is the stronger fighter on his feet. If Alex can keep from tapping out, he should be able to controll this fight

Prediction: I'm voting for the more experienced, well rounded fighter here - I say Alex wins by decision after round three

#8 - Rory McDonald vs.Kane Arona

Here we have a fight between 23 year old Rory McDonald, and 19 year old Kane Arona. Rory is five cm shorter than Kane, and has one more professional fight. Even though you would expect Kane to be the underdog in this fight, as he is four years younger, and less experienced - it seems he is the more adept fighter. Kane's boxing, and wrestling seem to be far superior to Rory's. We will see in this fight if Rory's superior skill on his feet can lead him to a victory.

Prediction: Rory wins by KO in round 2

#7 - Georges Laprose vs. Roger Haitu

Our fourth fight of the evening will be between 26 year old Roger, and 18 year old Georges. Now, I know what you're saying - "Roger is 8 years older than that kid Georges!"  and well, that is very true! It seems like Georges is the underdog in this fight. Both fighters can hold their own on their feet, so the striking game should be even between these two. Roger is the weaker fighter on the ground, however he is 4 cm shorter than Georges which will help him keep from tapping out. When you look at this matchup, it looks like it will be one big stalemate, unless one of these fighters really comes out swinging! It should be a close fight.

Prediction: Georges wins his first MMA fight by decision

#6 - Wenutu Halai vs. Lima Santos

This fight is our second closest matchut up the evening! With both fighters standing at 187 cm tall, and only a single years age difference between them - it would be hard to pick an underdog. Both fighters have a few fights under their belt' - Wenutu has two more than Lima, however Lima has a better winning record. The one big difference between these fighters is their style of fighting. Lima is an adept ground fighter while Wenutu is better on his feet. At the end of the day, it looks like Lima is the most dangerous man in this matchup, as he has logged 2 KO's even with his lack of natural striking talent.

Prediction: Lima Santos wins by submission in round 3

~MAIN CARD~

#5 - Leon Masters vs. Lance Carter

Our first main-card fight of the evening is the perfect example of "David vs. Goliath"1 Leon masters, the undefeted man with a 6-0 record, will look to make that a 7-0 record against the 0-2 Lance Carter. In only six fights, Leon has managed to KO five different men - which has begun to garner him some fans, making him quite a celebrity. On the other, hand, Lance has only fought in two fights, and lost them both. The one light in the dark for Lance (who is 8 years younger than Leon) is that he is the more well-rounded fighter. While Leon is a master of the striking arts, Lance has the ability to fight on the ground. If Lance can get Leon to the ground, he may have a chance at winning his first MMA fight, and stealing all of Leon's fans!

Prediction: Sorry, Lance - the odds are too heavy against you. I say Leon wins by KO in round one!

#4 - Dennis Coles vs Konstanty Farell

In our second main-card event of the evening, we have TWO undefeated fighters going head to head! At the end of the night... Only one of these young men will have aperfect record! Konstanty has made a name for himself' in the QFC league, submitting both of his last opponents in the first round. He is not very adept on his feet it seems. On the other hand, his opponent Dennis Coles, can fight both on his feet and on the ground. This is what has lead Dennis to a perfect 4-0 record inside of DCF, a record that he looks to add to after tonights bout'. Even at the young age of 19, Dennis has garnered quite the following of fans. The underdog here is Konstanty. Dennis has more experience, and is a more well-rounded fighter, with amazing natural KO power. Even if Konstanty does get Dennis to the ground, he will be tough to submit, as he is 3 cm shorter, giving Dennis a natural leverage advantage. If Konstanty pulls off something crazy tonight, he will continue his career undefeated, after winning over the fans of Dennis in this main-card bout!

Prediction: Dennis Coles wins by KO in round two.

#3 - Rickson Gracie vs. Casey Bowman

Here we have one of our premiere events of the evening - can the rookie beat the veteran!? In this fight, we will watch as the talented young Rickson tests his training and pedigree against an established menber of DCF, Casey Bowman. The last time these two fought was in the QFC, where Casey managed to win - but only by decision. Casey has had an up-and-down time fighting for DCF, and with this fight, he looks to re-establish himself as a dominant fighter in the orgs toughest weight class. This fight is a close matchup on paper, as both fighters are the same height and almost identical in age. Even their ID numbers are within 300! What this fight will prove to us, is whether Training is more important than experience. While the Rookie Gracie is one of the best young grapplers in Hilo, he has only fought one fight in his career (against Casey) which he lost. In this rematch, he will look to get revenge, and begin a dominant career with DCF. However Casey is an established, experienced fighter, which will give him a big advantage against a rookie like Rickson. This is a very tough fight to call

Prediction: It is hard for me to vote against Casey.. But I expect Rickson Gracie will win by Submission in round two

#2 - Henry Marquet vs. Russell Tyrone Jones

Here is the co-main event of the evening, Henry Marquet, one of Hilo's premiere strikers, vs. Russell Jones, one of DCF's most telented young fighters. Both of the fighters in this bout' are undefeated, and only one will walk out of this fight with their perfect record in-tact! These two fighters are only three years different in age, and 1 cm different in height, so it should be a close matchup. Russell is the taller man by 1 cm, which shouldn't mean much - however, he is going to need all the help he can get in order to avoid Henry's vicious strikes. Henry has fought three fights - and won three fights. All by KO. All in the first two minutes. His opponent is not going to make this an easy fight for him however, as this is the toughest matchut Henry has seen yet. Russell Jones has proven to his fans that he can fight on his feet, and on the ground, winning both of his two MMA fights, in both respective ways (once by KO and once by submission). Though Henry is a powerhouse striker, he is not much of a threat at all on the ground, and so if Russell manages to take Henry down, it is likely going to be the end of this fight!

Prediction: I hate betting on my own fighters - but let's go crazy. I say Henry gets lucky and wins by KO in round one!

~~MAINN EVENT!~~

#1 - Tino Kallio vs. Trent Punchy

Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for, the main event of the evening! This fight is between the two best fighters in DCF's 185 pound division, Tino Kallio, and Trent Punchy! Looking at this fight on paper, it looks like a huge mismatch. Trent punchy is seventeen cm taller than Tino, and weighs twenty-six pounds heavier! What this means is that, it will be almost impossible for Tino to strike Trent on his feet, and that Trent will be extremely hard to controll on the ground. Tino is going to need to keep his distance in the standup game in order to avoid being knocked out. His only hope is if he can take Trent down, and stay on top; because once Trent gets on top of Tino, the 26 pound weight difference will likely be too much to overcome. This will be an interesting fight, but two things are certain - It will be the most exciting fight of the night, and no matter who wins, the victory will be well-deserved!

Prediction: Trent Punchy wins by KO in round three, and defende his DCF 185 pound champion belt once again!

With all of that said.. Good luck to everybody fihting tonight, and let the best men win!
