On 24 Jan 2015 the powerful GAMMA (Global Association of MMA) presents GAMMA#458 Stein v Boyka. This event located at the Wombley Arena here in London is proudly sponsored by GREEN!160 based in Las Vegas. Attendance of 91,711 fight fans was boisterious and the additional Pay-Per-View of 188,238 brings the total to 279,949 fans who saw this event. This event hosted a Title fight at 155 pounds between Ein Stein and Yuri Boyka. We had 3 knockouts, with 6 decisions and 1 submission and a buttload of excitement! Kim Jong-un, "The Screamun Koreaun" here to walk you through the smack-downs.

Our first bout is a preliminary fight in the 145 pound division between Lik Alotadik and Jay Zol resulting in a TKO.

Lik Alotadik has a record of 20-10-1. Alotadik is a sensational Muay Thai fighter with 15 of his 20 wins coming by knockout so it would not be wise of his opponent to underestimate his power.

Jay Zol has a record of 15-15-1. Zol is an elite ground fighter with 12 of his 15 wins delivered by knockout. However he also has 15 losses with 9 of those being by knockout...so he best be careful dancing with Alotadik! Im curious as a cat to see how this dance ends...

The fight... Zol straight to a takedown but most the ground and pound was missing and Alotadik solved that by reversing and standing up. So Zol again with a takedown so he can try to do better...but even the referee got bored and stoods them up again. Alotadik decides enough is enough and stuffs all the next takedown attempts and in the 2nd half of the round he lands a good shot and rocks Zol. Zol seems to recover but Alotadik's strikes are landing more and more and towards the end of the round, Alotadik drops Zol like a sack of potatoes with a huge uppercut! Alotadik rains punches and the referee steps in. WAAHAAA HAAAA ! A short fight but very entertaining!

Results: After 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lik Alotadik!

Next preliminary fight is in the 185 pound division between Ben Zanotto and Yiotis Egomitis ending with a knockout from strikes.

Ben Zanotto has a record of 25-15-1. Zanotto is an elite wrestler with power striking ability proven by 20 (T)KOs.

Yiotis Egomitis has a record of 9-8-0. Egomitis is a sensational Muay Thai fighter with a weakness defending against submissions shown by 5 of his 8 losses coming from submission. However that shouldn't be an issue in this fight. Lets find out what WAS the issue...

The fight... Zanotto lands first and gets a takedown but cant seem to accomplish enough to keep the referee happy, so they are stood up. Zanotto dont care what the referee thinks and takes Egomitis down again and defies the ref by doing pretty much the same...NOTHING. To his credit, Egomitis managed to sweep into a reversal just before the end of the round. Round 2 is an instant replay with Zanotto getting a takedown and then doing nothing much and the referee standing them up. Zanotto changed tactics and actually threw some strikes while Egomitis managed to stuff several of his takedown attempts. Egomitis failed however to land any strikes of his own. Round 3, Egomitis landed his 4th strike of the fight and Zonotto again with the takedown, but even though he threw plenty of strikes he really needs to improve his accuracy so he can actually LAND some of them....after throwing so many misses, he finally lands a few strikes and Egomitis is hurt and Zanotto manages to flail away enough that the referee steps in with seconds left and ends it. So the "issue" seems to be Zonotto needs to work on his accuracy (only 30% of his ground strikes landed) and Egomitis could use some work on his ground game in general.

Results: After 4:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Zanotto!

The next preliminary fight is in the 205 pound division between Tiki Toke and Jaako Meritähti resolved by unanimous decision.

Tiki Toke has a record of 16-12-1. Toke is a true MMA fighter and has 6 6 (T)KOs and surprisingly for a only brown belt in BJJ also has 8 submissions.

Jaako Meritähti has a record of 12-2-0. Meritähti is a also a true MMA fighter with a brown belt in BJJ but he has no submissions...so whats up with this? Lets go see the reality...

The fight... Meritähti lands first but Toke with a takedown which Meritähti reverses and Toke working multiple submission attempts. Meritähti with serious ground and pound just beating the dogsnot out of Toke who just continues to try for a submission. Meritähti continued the onslaught on the ground and in the standing until in the 3rd round he caught Toke with a right hook and dropped him to one knee. Toke stood and was trying for a takedown but Meritähti was more focused on dealing damage and the fight ended with Meritähti dominating. And guess the story is...submissions are great if u can succeed...but if u dont and it goes to a decision, he who throws strikes will win.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jaako Meritähti!

Our next preliminary fight is in the 170 pound division between Dirk Diggler and Mark Whitehope resulting in a unanimous decision.

Dirk Diggler has a record of 34-19-0. Diggler is an elite standup fighter with 23 (T)KOs to his credit to prove his striking power, but has gone the distance 27 times so stamina should not be a factor for him. However over half of those were losses...

Mark Whitehope has a record of 12-8-0. Whitehope holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu but has only 2 submissions. Definitely outclassed in the experience department when u consider Diggler has lost as many fights a Whitehope has had...

The fight... Whitehope seemed to have the solution to the Diggler equation and that was to get him OFF his feet which he did several times without to much effort. But once he got Diggler on the mat he then proceeded to strike everything but Diggler! The mat took a terrible beatdown and i think the ref's feet even got hat a few times...but it wasnt until the 3rd round he was able to hit Diggler. The whole fight, Diggler didnt do much except defend...and he did that quite well actually because the blackbelt (Whitehope) tried multiple times to whip a submission on the experienced older fighter without success.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Mark Whitehope!

The next preliminary fight is in the 185 pound division between Sepp Maier and Baraka Simengwa ending with a Triangle Choke submission.

Sepp Maier has a record of 43-33-1. Maier holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has 34 submissions to his credit, and anyone that can make that many other fighter give up and quit is NOT to be taken lightly.

Baraka Simengwa has a record of 19-17-0. Simengwa is a sensational wrestler and holds a red belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with 17 submissions to his credit. This promises to be an interesting bout. Maier has the experience advantage but at 37 years old he may have an energy issue.

The fight... First round full of action and sure enough an excecise in submission attempts. Maier got the takedown right from the start probably because Simengwa wanted to get to the mat also, and thats bwere the fight stayed the whole 5 minutes and not once did the referee look like a standup was eminent. There were a couple reversals and multiple submission attempts from both men. Round 2, Again Maier straight to a takedown and damn near a copy of round 1, except Maier gave up his back and Simengwa was working hell out of a rear naked choke but failed to get it before the round ended. Round 3, Mair again with an instant takedown almost like they have an agreement... But a big difference when he gets to the ground and starts ground and pound! Holy shit I forgot this is a fight! Hes PUNCHING Simengwa! But Simengwa stays focused on his game plan and is looking for a triangle and hes got it, tap tap tap! Fight over! WAAAHAAAA !!! That was beautiful focus! Shows that experience when u can stay focused like that ! WA HAAA !! Interesting sidenote, Simengwa never threw a single strike and Maier only threw 6 strikes.

Results: After 0:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Baraka Simengwa!

Our last preliminary bout is in the 155 pound division between Atlas Kivi and Riel Dan Reyes resulting in a unanimous decision.

Atlas Kivi has a record of 24-16-2. Kivi is an elite wrestler and holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Kivi is a serious ground threat and has 6 submissions to his record.

Riel Dan Reyes has a record of 32-10-2. Reyes is also an elite wrestler and holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Seems they are also the same age...so it would appear Reyes with the superior record should be the victor here yes? Ah...but he has NO submissions...whats up with that? Perhaps his black belt is....how shall we say it? From a cereal box? Well I surely wouldnt say such a thing...so lets see what the judges say...

The fight... Well they didnt really spend enough time on the ground to test superiority of submission ability so lets refocus... The 1st round had Reyes dominate despite Kivi's knee to the his crotch. Both men with a takedown and Reyes also had a reversal but neither man seems interested to try submissions. Round 2 they mixed it up pretty good and after several failed attempts Kivi finally got a takedown and actually tried a submission but the round ended with Reyes probably taking it. In round 3 it was Reyes with a takedown but no action and after the referee stood them up it was both men throwing strikes but Reyes landed more. yawn....

Results: The judges see the fight slightly different with 27:30/28:29/27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Riel Dan Reyes!

Main card event in the 145 pound division between Tatsuya Kawajiri and Willy Wonka ended by majority decision.

Tatsuya Kawajiri has a record of 11-8-0. Kawajiri is a well-rounded sensational fighter who holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu but has never submitted anyone. Maybe with 8 of his 11 wins being by (T)KOs he is to focused on the knockouts and not the submissions.

Willy Wonka has a record of 28-9-0. He is a sensational wrestler and also holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which is well proven with 14 submissions. This could make for an interesting fight....2 submission experts with different focus. Can a submission specialist with experience get a submission on an equally trained, INexperienced submission specialist? Lets find out !

The fight... Well we start with a strangeness...Wonka has been cut by a slap. Did the "checker" look at Kawajiri's fingernails and gloves for foreign objects??? I can't imagine any other way a slap could cut u... Anyway the fight continues with a lot of missing strikes and eventually Wonka with the takedown. But the referee gets bored watching them both control position after a while and stands them up. Wonka again with a takedown and he gets busy trying every submission in the book but no joy and finally the referee stands them up just in time for the bell. That round was all Wonka and the next round saw a little better performance from Kawajiri who had a nice kicking spree, and stuffed several takedown attempts...but it was also Wonka's round. Kawajiri stuffed several takedowns in the final round as well as giving Wonka a bloody nose but Wonka got another takedown and stalled until the referee stood them up again just in time for the bell.

Results: The judges see the fight slightly different with 28:29/28:29/29:29 in favor of your winner, by majority decision... Willy Wonka! Who is calling for a title shot, but I didnt find his performance in this fight commendable enough to consider as worthy of a title shot.

Main card event in the 185 pound division between Atte Peltola and Cormac Gutz resulting in a majority decision.

Atte Peltola has a record of 22-14-1. Peltola is a sensational wrestler who has lost almost half of his fights. At age 36 it may just be too late for Atte to be Champion material, but this fight aint about a championship...its about Cormac Gutz.

Cormac Gutz has a record of 21-11-2. Gutz is a sensational boxer and has knocked out just over half of the opponents he has faced. Will the boxer knock out the wrestler before it goes to the ground? And will Gutz show he still has the juice? Lets find out !

The fight... First round was a excercise in countermoves in the clinch. Virtually all the strikes thrown were blocked or missed and alot of energy was used trying to control on the fence. Round 2 sees Peltola with a quick takedown which Gutz reverses, but cant really land anything and the referee stands them up. Peltola clinches and gets a takedown and scores some ground and pound before Gutz gets a reversal and lands a couple shots in revenge. Peltola gets a reversal right at the end of the round. The final round was mostly Peltola who clinched and got a takedown and landed more shots standing. Gutz turned up the heat at end of round and landed some shots and cut Peltola but it wasnt enough. It was a close fight with Peltola being credited with only 1 strike more than Gutz...but I guess 1 is enuough eh? Perhaps a rematch in the air???

Results: The judges see the fight slightly different with 29:28/29:29/29:28 in favor of your winner, by majority decision... Atte Peltola!

The Co-Main event is in the 205 pound division between Ted Stefans and Scotty Bennet resulting in a unanimous decision.

Ted Stefans has a record of 21-7-0. Stefans is a sensational Muay Thai fighter who has knocked out half of the fighters who dared to face him in the cage.

Scotty Bennet has a record of 33-6-0. Bennet is a sensational fighter who has knocked out over half of those who challenged him in the cage. With 2 sluggers in the cage...whats gonna happen? Well Im here to 'splain it to you Lucy...

The fight... From the beginning this fight was dominated by Bennet. The 1st round Bennet outscored Stefans 10 to 1 and also dropped him to a knee with a right hook. The 2nd round Stefans was dropped by a head kick. For 3 minutes they did pretty much nothing and the referee SHOULD of stood them up. The 3rd round found Stefans on the canvas again from a left-right combo but Bennet couldnt get the finish. All in all this was a pretty lackluster fight altho Bennet did have a few nice strikes here and there.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Scotty Bennet!

The MAIN event was a TITLE fight in the 265+ pound division between Ein Stein and Yuri Boyka ending with a round 3 knockout by punches.

The Champion, Ein Stein has a record of 22-5-1. Stein is a sensational boxer and seems to just wear his opponents down and usually wins by decision. NOT what you would normally expect from a champion...but lets see if it gets the job done in his defense of the belt...

The Challenger, Yuri Boyka has a record of 39-16-3. Boyka has elite skills in standup and the ground fighting and has proven knockout power verified by 24 (T)KOs. he has also been knocked out 10 times so he's not invincible and Im curious if Stein can last 25 minutes in the cage with Boyka's power. So lets find out ! WAAAHAAAAA!!!!

The fight... It was a good fight in round 1 with both men throwing punches and landing. Boyka however, landed the best shots and more of them. This trend continued in round 2 until Stein landed an uppercut that bounced Boyka off the cage and the tide turned. Towards the end of round 2, Stein rocked Boyka with a nasty combination. Round 3 Boyka maybe still dazed, was quickly dropped for the count when Steins predator instincts pounced with a huge single right hand. WAA HAAHAAA !!! Guess Stein looks more like a Champion now eh? Think thats called one punch knockout power oh yes! WAHAAA !!!

Results: After 0:10 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ein Stein! Ein Stein retains his featherweight title in commanding fashion! WAAA HAAAAA !!!

Well fight fans i hate to disappoint you by removing my presence...but Im about worn out by the excitement and tension of the night and must go...so without further ado....WAAA HAAAA !!!
