HEX VS PEGAS

Event Preview: SP FN 6:
Steel Penn FN - ICON
2013-10-19, Amsterdam, The Beer Garden
Author:Kristian Marry

Hello ladies and gentlemen.

I am pleased to be bringing you a preview of a very exciting fight card, my name is Mr Knowledge and hopefully you will be seeing more of me in the future.

Let us kick off with Hex VS Pegas,

With Jonah Hex fighting out of West Point Virginia boasting a record of 18 wins with 8 losses, 14 of his victories coming by way of TKO he is tipped to be the favourite in this fight but only by a slight margin. Hex went into his last fight as the underdog fighting Tony Skarface but managed to end the night early in the final seconds of the second round.

Jon Pegas has not had the best of time lately on a 2 fight losing streak both with the ref having to step in and  save him from being badly hurt but trying to keep it on a positive Jon has gone back to the gym worked with his coaches and has said he is ready to turn his luck around and hopes to do it in style.

For me the it’s a interesting fight I wouldn’t say both fighters are in a world class level even though both have the potential to step up to that level. It’s interesting because I really cant say who I think will win this fight both have the ability to end the fight early and both have the vulnerability to be stopped early.  Hex is a much better BJJ student and Pegas is a slightly better boxer and wrestler but not by much, the key to this fight for him would be stand and bang. Hex on the other hand should look to exploit the flaws in Pegas’s BJJ skills and take it to the ground even though he does stand a chance and stopping this fight standing up. My prediction Hex by way of armbar.

Phillips VS Landeby

This is the fight I can not wait to see seriously this has the potential to become fight of the night, hell even fight of the year. Both fighters are coming off losses and a win is needed in a big way, Phillips will be looking to lock in one of his deadly submissions  and Lundeby will be looking to hit hard and land clean. My opinion will have Phillips finishing the fight on the ground, either  way the fight goes I’m sure it will be a war.

Also on the card we have …

Neil deGrasse Tyson v Lisandro Magalhaes

Namiska Button v Pencil Neck

Ong Bak v Karl Swanson

Cpl. Sam Fender v Wojciech Sakrucki

We hope to see you there and im sure you will enjoy the night.
