<031 • Kobashi v Velmu> - Preview and Predictions

Event Preview: <031 • Kobashi v Velmu>
Epic FF League
2013-07-27, Amsterdam, Hard Knocks - Amsterdam
Author:Charles Lee Ray

Hello guys, this is your writer Charles Lee Ray and I'm bringing you the event preview and predictions for <031 • Kobashi v Velmu>. I tried a different aproach in this write up so bear with me.

Some may think that $150 for a premium ticket might be a little bit pricey but when your watching Crucible Fights: Amsterdam, you'll absolutely get more than what you pay for. CF: A will proudly presents a show like no other starring "Orange Crush" Kenta Kobashi and Yrjoe "Ykä" Velmu on July 27 at Hard Knocks - Amsterdam.

Under Card:

10.  (185) Robin "Smoke" Kluivert vs. Jaakko "Hobo" Savolainen

The rumors are true that their [censored] won't standup so in order to compensate for their bad hidden, the managers made them last longer in bed. Kluivert loves to cuddle his opponents while attempting submissions at the same time. On the other hand,  Savolainen likes to play the role of being a sadist using his ground and pound.

Prediction: A winning situation for Savolainen because he's the sadist in a sadomasochistic relationship.

9. (265) "The Mad Monk" Grigori Rasputin vs.  Hakon "Tyr" Hakonda

Anything can happen inside the octagon but anything can happen outside too. After this fight, the Norway - Russia relations will be broken for the first time since its establishment on October 30, 1905 because "Tyr" will be having a hard time containing the monk's madness in any aspect of the fight.

Prediction: Rasputin by KO (Head Kick) - Standup or TKO (Cut) - Clinch

8. (185) Yakubu Okoroji vs. Samuri Sikura

It's obvious that Okoroji possesses a granite chin, but because it's so huge it became an easy target for his debut opponent and thus losing the fight via TKO. Ezekel Rage figured out that it's better to conceal Okoroji's huge chin so he underwent a cosmetic surgery which made him look like a classical gangster with a smaller face. Experience is what Sikura, a black man born in Japan, brings to the table and is looking to have a shot at the title again

Prediction: Okoroji by TKO (Strikes) - 1st

7. (155) Carlos Evora vs. Tony Dawson

If there's a trophy for losing three fights in a row, then these two will be super close in getting it.  Evora lost twice via decision mainly because of judge Radbod Blank. On the contrary, Dawson cannot blame anyone but himself because he got finished by a rear naked choke and knee to the head in his last two outings. Let's see who will be the more generous fighter by giving the loser's trophy on his opponent.

Prediction: Dawson by TKO (Strikes) - 2nd

6. (265) Cloud Strife vs. Agilulfe Fragonard

Well, same as the one posted above, both coming from two consecutive losses. I'm putting my money on Strife because you know, he just celebrated his birthday - 21 today! and I also  believe in the concept of having a homecourt advantage. I think Fragonard already knew that he will lost this bout and an evidence of this is his clearly depleted morale - less than 50%.

Prediction: Strife by a birthday punch around 2 minutes of the very first round

5. (205) Damian "Thorn" Rogalewski vs. Dark Thoughts

This match will be just like the first match of the night and whoever utilizes his weapon in his arsenal wins this fight. Rogalewski has a habit of entangling his opponent's limbs and necks, trapping them in his thorns. On the other hand, Thoughts has already put four men into the abyss using his vicious ground and pound. Additionally, he is the reigning light heavyweight champion of The Immortals Playground.

Prediction: Thoughts by KO (Strikes) - 2nd

Main Card:

4. [170 - TITLE FIGHT] Alessandro Maximilian (7-1) vs. Saul "The Frackin Cylon" Tigh (6-3)

First fight of the main card and a title fight already? The fans gotta love this one. Maximillian is  aiming for his fifth consecutie victory and third title defense overall while Tigh wants to get a hold of the welterweight belt by being creative with his submissions. I feel sorry for Tigh because even though I like Battlestar  Galactica plus the fact that he is a frackin' cyclon, Maximilian is a superhuman after all.

Prediction: Maximillian by a head kick out of nowhere

3. [205] Harry "Dirty" Callahan (9-3) vs. Mac Dirty (5-3)

The fight of the two dirtiest mixed martial artists on the planet, Harry and Mac. Let's take a look at our dirty checklist. First, dirty records: check (they already suffered some defeats). Second, dirty clothes: Harry - not check; Mac - check (Mac's morales is around 70%). Finally, dirty style: Harry - dirty boxing and Mac - dirty ground and pound.

Prediction: Callahan by a dirtiest punch possible.

2. [155] Nicky Newdles (7-0) vs. "Perhananperhana" Perseen Suti (9-4)

I tried searching for the meaning of Perhananperhana and I found nothing, so I ended up translating his nickname using the very reliable google translate and it means "son of a son of a bitch", a third generation fighter from the family of bitches. Newdles to say, I'm using a word play just to incorporate Nicky's surname in this preview. In addition,  Newdles is undefeated but he will face a very tough fighter in Suti, if he can look directly in his eyes.

Prediction: Suti by Decision (Unanimous)

1. [185 - TITLE FIGHT] "Orange Crush" Kenta Kobashi (6-0) vs. Yrjoe "Ykä" Velmu (7-1)

Hard Knox will definitely tremble when these warriors steps in the cage. Velmu will have a reach advantage but their skill set are virtually the same , "two granite chins, both never been finished, mirror builds from two goddamn handsome mofos of managers - BAAAM!", added Roger Kint. The greatest fight in the history of CF: A middleweights was agreed the moment Kobashi insulted Velmu in his tweet..err account. Velmu is the more popular man with a popularity of 176.516 but he is nothing compared to Kobashi's hype of  215.147 because he has proven that he can crush his opponents using a series of strikes or using a single lethal high kick.

Prediction: Kobashi by TKO (Strikes) - 4th
