Rise To Glory: Chuck Grace

Editorial by

As the owner of UPG:Tokyo the organization that is running the Ultimate Fighter style tournament Rise To Glory. I was extremly suprised to see one of the coaches while flicking through the channels. But sure enough he was there sitting down with a interviewer who looked more like a shady buisness man than an announcer. Here's what happened on the interview though.

Interviewer: Hey there, I am here today with Chuck Grace. A coach in the upcoming Rise To Glory Season 1 Tourney. He has kindly agreed to take this interview with us to give us a insight into what's going to happen.

Hey Chuck, how are you feeling about having the honour of being one of the coaches on Rise To Glory?

Grace: Hey Chuck, how are you feeling about having the honour of being one of the coaches on Rise To Glory?

Interviewer: You are known to be a good manager around the Tycoon world, do you think you can translate that to teach others?

Grace:Im hoping it will translate in such a way that these guys will gain the required tools to have long and prosperous MMA careers.  I have a team of very skilled fighters, and managers so I'm pretty confident we can work this thing out.  I plan on being the winning manager of this season, and I'm going to do everything in my power to have that be the end result.

Interviewer:What do you think of the other coach Alexi Zaitev on a personal level ?

Grace: I like Alexi.  He's a good, stand up kinda guy, but that's not gonna stop me from mopping the floor with him in this tourney!

Interviewer: What about as a manager, do you think you can beat him?

Grace:I know I can.  Team Grace will have a few surprises in store for Team Carnage let's just leave it at that for now.  Add that to my much more extensive experience in big fight situations, and, some would say, decent record in those big fights and things look a little bleak for the other guys.

Interviewer: We have seen some back and forth banter between the two of you.  Do you think that one of your ego's might get in the way of making the fighters as good as they can be?

Grace:I hope not, but anything is possible I guess.  I plan on coaching this as ego free as possible.  The being said, however, ego's are bound to get hurt in this tourney.  Especially Mr. Zaitev's!  Everything aside, though, I intend to just be here for the fighters as they need advice, and to help them out with their game plans going into each fight as best as I can.

Interviewer: You guys said the losing manager gives $50k to the winner, will that actually happen?

Grace: I know I intend to do it if I lose, which I won't, but I can't speak for Alexi.  He's a man of his word so I'm sure he'll do it also.  That fighter just better use it for his MMA career in someway though, and not just go blow it on a weekend in Vegas.

Interviewer: UPG: Tokyo has had troubles filling this tourney, it being up since the beginning of October with little interest, do you think it will be worth the wait?

Grace:I think for those that are interested in it for sure it'll be worth the wait.  The main reason it was tough to get people involved was the amount of awesome tournaments that were being planned around that time.  My hats off to UPG: Tokyo and their decision to stick by this thing!  I think you'll see Season 2 generate even more interest, and really get this thing to be something people look forward to watching, and partaking in.

Interviewer:Do you have anything else to say?

Grace:May the best man win.

Interviewer:Thanks for meeting with me and good luck in the tourney.

The first round of rise to glory will be on January 6th and expect fireworks
