Stacey manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Rigma chips away with some ground and pound.
Rigma trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Rigma working some strikes from top position.
Rigma scoring with punches to the head and body.
Rigma throwing strikes but missing.
Rigma loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rigma distracts Stacey with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Rigma makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rigma loads up on a big left hand. Stacey felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Rigma looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Stacey can't hide his disappointment, as Rigma celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mandy Rigma!

Jiannotti misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nathan misses with a two punch combination. #TD2#
Nathan looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Jiannotti is breathing heavily.
Nathan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Nathan tries to free his leg and advance position but Jiannotti is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nathan keeps trying to improve his position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jiannotti takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Nathan scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Jiannotti to see if he's OK.

Nathan creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Nathan in side control lands a decent elbow.
Nathan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jiannotti will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Jiannotti pushes Nathan off but Nathan dives into side control.
Nathan remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Nathan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nathan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jiannotti down.
Jiannotti is not content to let Nathan control the position.
Nathan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Nathan has an Americana. Jiannotti didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Nathan is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Nathan hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Schultz darts in and clinches Jiannotti up against the cage.
Schultz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jiannotti walks away with a smile on his face. Schultz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jiannotti shoots in looking for a takedown but Schultz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jiannotti's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Schultz attempts a counter takedown but Jiannotti avoids it well and moves away.#TD#
Schultz closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. #SU#
Schultz decides to stand and escape the position.
Jiannotti looks winded!#CL2#
Jiannotti has closed the distance and engaged Schultz in a clinch.
Jiannotti wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jiannotti is trying to maintain a safe position but Schultz gets an underhook and turns Jiannotti into the cage.

Schultz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A shot in the inside from Jiannotti.
Jiannotti prevents the takedown attempt.
Jiannotti goes for a takedown attempt but Schultz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance. #TD#

Schultz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jiannotti tries to improve position but can't.
Schultz throws a strike aimed at the side of Jiannotti's head but Jiannotti avoids it well.
Schultz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB#
Schultz has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jiannotti is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Schultz yanks on the arm and Jiannotti is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Schultz.
