Hello noobs. Barney (AKA Doc Zoidberg) again. Here we are suffering with MMATycoon again. This tournament has no ending. Life is suffering. But worry not, I have some secret builds and slides that will carry us to the end.

This round we were supposed to fight oh so tuff Finns. ~The alliance to be beaten~. Top on points. No can be do. They just to much for poor ole Naughtly Cru.

tenor.gif

Luckly for us, I got some secret spice. Let's see what we got

unknown.png

I start the fighting round this time. No pressure. Still, my noob team mates cant be trusted, SO I'd better FINNish it fast.

giphy.gif

That being said I forgot to change slider...

That ended up being 4 minutes of ground and pound for a Round 1 KO. Plan worked just fine. That's 5-0 Naughtly Crew

tenor.gif

But now its up to them dead weight doing their jobs. We have Andy next, so this should be more 3 to 5 points in the bag.

unknown.png

Oh look, he has a granite chin. Is it gonna crack or is Booker gonna get cheesed?

unknown.png

Its ok. Its ok. Its fine. We do this just to let them of guard. Its just to lower their suspicion. 5-5, but Randall is back to top 20 and we know he is gonna break the tie for us.

Yay another granite. What a joy

And then just more of the same... Great performance by the "NATURAL TALENT"

unknown.png

giphy.gif

its 7-5 for the Finns and our last hope is Joe fighter. Manlets division striker needing a finish. And he is 0-5. We are fucked. Its over. No more chance for Naughtly Crew.

200.gif
Or is it?

tenor.gif

I asked Joe to assist him tweaking his slide for this fight. As long as we get ANY finish here we are good. They got confident, they got cocky. They think this one is in the bag, and thats why they are throwing it.tenor.gif

Lets fuck em boys

Not a granite chin. Thats a good start already

And thats the biggest secret power of the world, boys. The power of friendship. Your friend's slider saved the day.

Naughtly Crew is 10-7 and won another round. One round closer to winning this thing.

As usual, time to git gud scrub.

2021 Alliance World Championships

With the group stages now firmly behind us, it was now time to begin the arduous task of determining the order of all fifteen teams ranked first to last. For those who made the champions phase finals, this process would keep them busy for another three rounds. For most of the rest, only two.

CHAMPIONS PHASE FINAL – ROUND 1

The best eight teams from each of the three groups would now battle it out to determine who would take a step closer to becoming the 2021 Alliance World Champions.

First up, the Group C champions and last years bronze medallists FinnFighters were taking on the eighth best team from the group Naughtly Crew 1 and so far the team from the cold north had been looking pretty unstoppable. Naughtly Crew had been looking about as good as Naughtly Crew could (which wasn't good at all) and were thought to have little to no chance of winning this meeting.

First up at 135lbs we had undefeated FinnFighter CG Mannheim taking on 0-4 liability Clint River from Naughtly Crew 1. This was an absolute clear cut FinnFighters win so you can just image the amount of open jaw gawping from the Finnish contingent when River battered Manngeim in just one minute and twenty-five seconds. A massive upset for the favourites who were now behind five points to zero. FinnFighters team captain Rokken Roll made sure to rally the troops as best he could as he completely dominated Naughtly Crew captain Jake Keane over three rounds. The win marked his fifth in a row and meant that he remained in an ever dwindling pool of undefeated fighters. On to the the middleweight fight and Oke Swahn made short work of Naughtly Crew's Reggie Booker with a brutal knockout in just under two minutes. Swahn definitely developing quite a reputation as KO artist with this one marking four out of four. Backstage, Booker's manager was seen throwing a tantrum and begging him to quit the tournament. He kept crying about his manager rank and something about never being as good as Karter this way? Very strange indeed. Anyway, with the score now standing at 7-5 in favour of the FinnFighters, the final heavyweight bout would decide the result of this razor thin match up. Einar Kyrvansyyla had started off the tournament well with three first round KO's in a row but was coming into this one after suffering his first pro loss. Mamar's path on the other hand was basically the reverse. Kyrvansyyla tried to finish the fight early but wasn't able to connect with anything on the feet and so it was Mamar who got the takedown and proceeded to beat the stuffing out of him and finish the fight late in the first round.

An absolutely shocking upset win for Naughtly Crew 1 and one that very few people could have predicted. The FinnFighters will be understandably distraught at the result after such a dominant run during the group stages. Naughtly Crew 1 now move on into the semi-finals whilst the FinnFighters will have to make do with a potential fifth place best finish.

Next up, fresh off their tour of Cheezapalooza 2021, the Group A champions Keyboard Warriors were set to face off against the highly unregarded team from Naughtly Crew 2. Keyboard Warriors reaching this point undefeated through the group stages whilst Naughtly Crew 2 had been the ultimate middling weekend warriors in theirs.

At 135lbs, Keyboard Warriors head cheeseman Akio Kurosaki cheesed Naughtly Crew's Norman Pike with the usual takedown and cheesy sub spamming. Unsurprisingly it paid off and gave Keyboard Warriors the five point lead. At 155lbs, Aung Siang followed suit managing to pull off even more sub attempts during his two minutes in the cage and again finishing the fight in the first round. His bewildered opponent Chistian Caliman had no idea what had happened and could be heard remarking outside of the cage “I thought this was supposed to be a fight?” At middleweight, one of the Keyboard Warriors most successful cheesemakers Bofur Widenose was up next and with his undefeated record, was a daunting task for Naughtly Crew's captain Anders Thorsen. Widenose was really trying to stuff that cheese down Thorsen's throat and Thorsen did well to resist as long as he did but in the end, even he had to take a mouthful of the disgusting stinky game plan that Widenose was serving up and tapped out midway through the second round. With the score now standing at 14 points to 0, the meeting had already been decided. No one really cared about those fights however as next up was the bout that everyone had paid to see; Keyboard Warriors undefeated juggernaut cheeseman Felix Suarez taking on the people's champion Dick Glover. A lot of talk on the internet preceded this one and Glover definitely had the sympathy of the crowd after he and his manager Alfred Winterbottom were the subject of an intense and hurtful smear campaign by Suarez and his cronies. In preparation for this massive quest for honour, Winterbottom had enlisted the help of up and coming managerial superstar Optimal MMA Picks. Train clinch he said. With your strength you'll destroy him there he said. Quickly Glover and Winterbottom found out that there are no friends in this competition as Picks had obviously fed him a load of crap. Glover did get the clinch early that much is true but Suarez quickly took him down and gave him the full cheddar cheese treatment and finishing the bout in just forty-one seconds. A blow for justice indeed and so much so that much of the crowd got up and walked out.

A massive cheese platter served up by the Keyboard Warriors who are looking more and more stinky with each passing round. A massive win for them as they move one step closer to taking the championship home.

Next up we had last years runners up The Stepdads taking on the institution that is Convicted Inc. The Stepdads had managed to take the top spot in arguable the most competitive group of all, Group B whilst Convicted Inc had been far from impressive in theirs after coming in second in Group C which was arguably the least competitive.

There was intrigue once more as the mysterious hooded figure was back again in the Convicted corner and under the roar of the crowd some strange mutterings could be heard from his hidden face. Some said that they were merely instructions being relayed to the Convicted fighters while others swore that they were cultist incantations of the sun that seemed to drive his students into a frenzy. Whatever it was it clearly worked as previously middling Nevez Amadaus was able to outwork and outpoint 3-1 Ricky Greene to a unanimous judges decision at 135lbs. The mysterious figure grew even more animated as an inconsistent Rico Axelrod took to the cage to face The Stepdads team captain Shinji Tomoguchi. Axelrod looked possessed as he battered Tomoguchi from pillow to post, even managing to wobble the gritty clinch specialist near the end of round three. Another upset for Convicted as they took the first two fights for a score of 4 points to 0. Clearly spent of energy and likely believing his work was done, the mysterious figure was helped to the back as the trusted 4-0 Convicted Inc team captain Haitain Ginger danced his way to the cage against the backdrop of generic reggae music. A tough opponent in front of him in 3-1 Maximus DeMarcus Meridius and no push over for sure but no one would have predicted the first round submission victory that Meridius was about to snatch up. Ginger tried his best to avoid getting caught up in a dog fight on the ground and did well to pepper Meridius on the feet with stinging shots but Meridius was determined to bring the fight to the floor and when he did so, Ginger had surprisingly little in reply to him. A five point victory for The Stepdads gave them the lead and meant it would once again be down to the big boys to settle the result. Bruce Hood for The Stepdads was nursing a two fight losing streak coming into this one but previously to that had been looking rather destructive. Ghengis Kahn had been inconsistent for Convicted up to here and looked even more flustered as he frantically scanned the crowd for the mysterious hooded figure who was nowhere to be found. The bell sounded and Khan came out swinging but Hood had evil intent in his eyes and began to cut Khan open with every blow that landed. After four and a half minutes, the referee was forced to call in the doctor who instantly called off the fight handing The Stepdads a 10-4 victory and a place in the semi-finals.

A tough break for Convicted who did far better than most would have thought and giving The Stepdads quite a scare. Who would have thought it would be their team captain Haitian Ginger that would let the entire Convicted family down when it mattered most? Tears of laughter could be heard all the way from Belgium.

The final champions phase match up was between last years champions YABAI and newcomers Syndicate. YABAI were pipped at the post for the Group A title by Keyboard Warriors but still qualified easily as the runners up with the most points. Syndicate did well in their group also coming in second and as runners up with the second most points after YABAI. With two teams so close in performance, a competitive match up was expected.

A big fight at 135lbs featuring two undefeated fighters in YABAI team captain Jay Reepo and Syndicate's Dreynos Elvul. Reepo was coming in with a reputation for grinding out decision wins and that's exactly what he did here again. Elvul did his best to keep up with Reepo on the feet but as a submission fighter at heart, just didn't look comfortable there at all. A two point lead for YABAI as the lightweights entered the cage. Syndicate team captain Slash Shredder suffered his first finish loss of the tournament as he had the misfortune to be drawn against undefeated submission hunter Bishop Bonesteel. Bonesteel's victory clocked in at just a little under three minutes of the first round pushing YABAI's lead to 7-0 and putting pressure on Syndicate who now needed big wins to turn things around. It wasn't to be as another of YABAI's hot prospects Omer Demici faced off against a resurging Al Hoffa who was coming in on a two fight win streak. Hoffa looked great throughout rounds one and two and was ahead on the vast majority of analysts scorecards but one small slip in concentration in the third round was all it took to allow Demirci to snatch up an arm and put this contest out of reach. Neither was their any consolation prize for the Syndicate boys as heavy hitting heavyweight Sono Tiger was taken down and tapped out by YABAI's Huber Schlesien in less than three minutes. Final score YABAI 13 Syndicate 0.

A tough set of results for Syndicate to swallow but a decisive result at least and no shame in losing to the reigning champs. A very solid performance from YABAI who, like last year, seem to be building steam as they go along.

With these results the matchups for the semi-final round are as follows.

For the right to fight for the 2021 Alliance World Championship Title

Naughtly Crew 1 vs. The Stepdads
Keyboard Warriors vs. YABAI

Fighting for a tournament best finish of 5th Place

FinnFighters vs. Convicted Inc
Naughtly Crew 2 vs. Syndicate.

Middle Phase Finals – Round 1 (Semi-Final)

Not quite as prestigious as being declared winner of the AWC tournament but still a small chance at redemption for some and a chance to finish in a best position of 9th.

First up we had ACME 1 who had done far better than expected to finish third in Group A taking on there group rivals Naughtly Crew 3 for an immediate rematch. ACME 1 had beaten Naughtly Crew previously so it would be interesting to see if anything would be different this time around.

ACME 1 were missing their team captain Devin Russell for the second time now with acquaintances of his telling us that he couldn't take the fighter lifestyle and disappeared to live the rest of his days on a remote island with his manager and lover Saklain Javid. Regardless of what was true or not, ACME 1 were starting this match up down five points as disgruntled Naughtly Crew captain Stuart Burrows received yet another forfeit win. In a reversal of their first match up NC3's Ultimate Warrior got his revenge when he caught Torn Brot with a first round kneebar. Tran Quaach also managed to redeem himself finishing ACME's Gretchen Alexander by first round TKO. With the match now completely out of reach, the pressure was off for the heavyweights and there would be no reverse result this time as once more Peter Kowalski defeated Uncle Abner by TKO near the end of round one. Abner now drops to his fifth loss in a row and is now in big danger of finishing the tournament without scoring a single point.

Maybe surprise is not the right word but it is still slightly shocking that Naughtly Crew 3 aren't somehow scrapping around with the bottom place alliances. Instead, they will now get the chance to finish in a far more respectable position of 9th. A valiant effort from ACME 1 despite being a fighter down from the start. They will now go on to decide positions 11th & 12th in their final tournament match up.

The other Middle Phase finals match up was between Group C's Team Panda and Group B's Limitless. Both teams had done about as well as you could expect in the group stage but Limitless had perhaps shown the most promise early on.

Team Panda captain Napoleon Panda got his team on their way with a first round win over Paolo Del Geno at 135lbs and brawler Jacques Turcotte one upped that with a blinding sixteen second KO over Trey Limitless. A 10-0 lead for Team Panda gave the impression that this one was done and dusted but Heinrich Von Slackenfuchs brought Limitless back into contention with a big KO over 0-4 Otto Graf at middleweight. Only Limitless captain Slim Towney could force this meeting to a draw but coming into the fight after four consecutive losses wasn't the biggest morale booster and ruthless Panda fighter Jacko Dawson, who could smell the timidity in the air, was in no mood to be merciful and battered Towney in just eighteen seconds of the first round.

An emphatic victory for Team Panda who will be overjoyed at their performances and who will now get to fight for a shot at 9th place overall. Far higher than their predicted last place finish at the start of this. For Limitless, this loss probably marked their lowest moment of the tournament and with motivation obviously dwindling they now prepare for their final battle to decide 11th & 12th place.

The final round of the Middle Phase Finals are now as follows.

To decide the 9th & 10th place in the tournament

Naughtly Crew 3 vs. Team Panda.

To decide 11th & 12th place in the tournament.

ACME 1 vs. Limitless.

The Bottom Place Finals.

Originally supposed to be a round robin between the bottom teams in each group would now alter after the result of this match up between The Guardians and ACME 2.

Unfortunately, due to rage sacking asshats, this one was missing the 185lbs & 265lbs bouts. Fortunately it was one forfeit from each side otherwise it would have been an outright disqualification. First up, at 135lbs, was The Guardians team captain Kaspar Kalleste taking on ACME 2's Glen Welch. Welch was yet to win a single fight so far in the tournament so it was something of an upset when he scored the first round submission victory over Kalleste. The final match up at 155lbs was between ACME's Brett Keane and The Guardians Isak Hardrada. Keane certainly came out swinging and though he missed with most of what he threw when he did land Hardrada knew about it. Keane scored the KO just forty-five seconds into the first round giving AMCE 2 the victory and avoiding a last place finish in the tournament. Props to ACME 2 team captain and The Guardians heavyweight Drax Bautista for standing by, waiting for their opponents to sign the deal. A pox upon The Guardians Matt Cosce and his manager Robert Smith and ACME's Fidel DeLuna and his manager Darren Russell. May your fighters always “like pizza” from here on.

After the loss, The Guardians team captain Kaspar Kalleste announced that his team would be withdrawing from the competition meaning that The Guardians alliance, on this occasion, finish as the 15th and last team out of the 15 team field in the 2021 Alliance World Championships. Definitely a surprise given the pedigree of some of their managers at the start but then that is what makes tournaments interesting.

The win for ACME 2 means they go on to face the best performing bottom place team Legion of Doom to decide positions 13th & 14th in their final tournament match up.

Definitely winning some respect at 2021 with that performance. Nice performance getting to div1 pyramid and staying there, nice display at AWC, nice orgs overall... Is Naughtly Crew the breakthru alliance of 2021?

GREAT review as always Alf Sadteeth

BREAKING NEWS

This is the kind of news that we unfortunately have to cover from time to time in sports, but it is important that we pay an inordinate amount of attention on it for the 2 weeks that people actually care. Following his impressive performance against "Big" Dick Glover, twitter users discovered offensive tweets from the account Keyboard Warriors undefeated star Felix Suarez. The most recent tweet was from 2011, but it's still very important that we publicly hold him accountable today.

Suarez has released the following statement:

"I truly am sorry for to anyone from the lactose intolerant who was offended by the comments I made back in middle school while browsing the library computer. I have nothing against anybody who is lactose intolerant, several of my training partners are lactose intolerant and I never meant to say anything that could be interpreted as bigotry against people with lactose intolerance. I hope we can all come together and move past this unfortunate series of events. I would also like to apologize to my manager Judo Beau, to my fellow alliance mates at Keyboard Warrios, and to the Alliance World Championship as my actions reflect on them. As a professional athlete I know I have to hold myself to a higher standard of not using racial, sexual, or lactose intolerant related slurs than if I was just a random twitter user."

The tweet in question "If you can't handle the cheese, get out of the dairy aisle" was uncovered by a twitter user affiliated with the alliance Naughtly Crew shortly after their loss to Keyboard Warriors in the first round of the AWC finals. Nonetheless, Keyboard Warriors and Suarez's manager Judo Beau are taking these revelations very seriously. Judo Beau has said that he has spoken to Suarez since the tweets were uncovered and has made him aware that this kind of behavior is unacceptable for any fighters under his management.

CHAMPIONS PHASE FINALS

Round 2

The countdown to crowning the 2021 Alliance World Champions continues as we head into what is generally considered to be the semi-finals of the tournament. Four teams remain in contention for first place whilst everyone else will be scrapping away to secure their alliances reputation and standing by finishing as high as they possibly can.

NAUGHTLY CREW 1 vs. THE STEPDADS

Starting with the only teams left that people actually might care about we have Naughtly Crew 1 taking on last years runners up The Stepdads. Naughtly Crew 1 of course shocking the world (and the rest of their alliance) by somehow managing to get past the might of the Finnish contingent in their previous match up whilst The Stepdads bravely vanquished the zombie hoards of Convicted Inc to seal their place here in the semi-finals.

These two teams have met before in the group stages where Naughtly Crew 1 upset the odds and managed a win by a very narrow margin of 8 points to 7. The meeting wasn't expected to be close at all so you have to wonder how The Stepdads will approach this rematch now that the result means so much more.

Predictions:

At 135lbs we have 1-4 Clint River representing NC1 and he will be taking on 3-2 Ricky Greene for The Stepdads. River looked good for the first time in the tournament during his last bout scoring an upset win over FinnFighters undefeated CG Mannheim. Greene suffered his second loss of the tournament in something of an upset also when he lost to Nevez Amadaus of Convicted. River has had problems with submission fighters so far and that is exactly what Greene is. Coupled with the fact that Greene already had his way with River early on in the tournament makes him the obvious favourite here once again.

At 155lbs we have a battle of team captains as Shinji Tomoguchi for The Stepdads takes on Jake Keane for Naughtly Crew. Even with a 3-2 record, Tomoguchi has been a solid and dependable performer for his alliance. His two losses have been via decisions meaning that even in defeat he has limited the points lost for his team. The same can't quite be said of Jake Keane who, with a record of 1-4, is definitely in the negative points as an individual performer for his alliance. Last time these two met, Tomoguchi managed to outpoint him by decision and so it's likely to be another tough, gruelling match up once more but this time Tomoguchi might feel the pressure to bring about a more decisive finish and avoid a repeat of last times overall team result.

At 185lbs 3-2 Reggie Booker faces 4-1 Maximus DeMarcus Meridius where Meridius will be looking to avenge the sole loss on his record so far when he lost to Booker by third round KO back in round five of the tournament. On paper this is a pure grappler versus striker match up and considering Booker found a way to get the job done last time, you'd have to give him the same respect here again (even though realistically Meridius looks like he could take him down at will and snap him in two)

At heavyweight we have the current MVP for Naughtly Crew 1 Kevin Mamar and he will be facing off against Bruce Hood for The Stepdads. Hood was back to his violent best during his last bout against Convicted Inc's Ghengis Kahn where he proceeded to bludgeon poor Khan and force the doctor to intervene. Mamar however is coming into this on a four fight winning streak which includes the first round KO over Hood himself. Can't see this one going much differently as Mamar has only gotten further ahead since they last met and is obviously picking up the game at an incredible rate.

The first meeting between these two alliance ended with an upset. The Stepdads were the clear favourites and in truth probably are here too. A really difficult one to predict due to the fact Naughtly Crew 1 were able to pull it off before but surely lightning cannot strike again twice?

YABAI vs. KEYBOARD WARRIORS

The second semi-final match up is another rematch from the group stages and between current champions YABAI and Group A winners Keyboard Warriors. This is a big one folks. A massive showdown between two highly performing teams and definitely the final showdown of the all-cheese state finals.

This match up also has a little extra spice involved being as though most of the remaining undefeated fighters in the tournament will be converging here. And if they aren't undefeated, most of the rest are on incredible winning streaks meaning there's going to be some pretty upset fighters by the end of this one. The fallout will be intense with a place in the finals at stake and with personal pride also high up on the list of prizes, this one is the match up to watch. On to the fights!

Predictions:

The team captains are up first at 135lbs. One of Keyboard Warriors least performing members, 3-2 Akio Kurosaki takes on YABAI's undefeated 5-0 Jay Reepo. Both are big proponents of the ground with Kurosaki being the more prolific submission hunter of the two. Reepo has now firmly developed a reputation as a slow grinding, wear-you-down kind of wrestler and with four decision wins out of five victories, including his last win over then undefeated Dreynol Elvul, he seemingly has this game plan down to a tee. With this in mind, you'd have to consider Reepo the strong favourite in this one.

At 155lbs we have 3-2 Aung Siang for Keyboard Warriors taking on undefeated submission maestro Bishop Bonesteel. Both fighters coming in off of wins but clearly there's is little question of who is in the better form overall. Bonesteel managed to claim the first round victory in their first meeting and has only gotten better and better and far more well rounded as time has passed. He now seems to have a competent understanding of the striking basics which is only going to give him more options in this match up. Siang does possess the superior wrestling out of the two however and this just might be his saving grace. If he can get the fight to the floor he is at least on par with Bonesteel skill wise. Whether that will help him changed the past result? Not many would believe so. Bonesteel, again, a heavy favourite to take this one by submission.

A real tasty treat at 185lbs as undefeated YABAI man Bofur Widenose takes on 4-1 Omer Demirci who is riding his own four fight winning streak coming into this. Neither have much in the way of striking so it's likely that the fight ends up in their preferred realm of the ground. Demirci the higher belt in BJJ, Widenose the superior wrestler. Both have very good percentages when it comes to finishing their opponents. Widenose got the submission victory over Demirci last time out with only a few seconds to go in the first round. Can he improve upon that this time around or will Demirci get this revenge. The bookies will have Widenose as the very slight favourite.

Finally at heavyweight we have undefeated Felix Suarez for Keyboard Warriors taking on YABAI's 3-2 Huber Schlesian. Suarez, if you recall, was involved in a campaign of hate against tournament organiser Alfred Winterbottom before his controversial showdown with Dick Glover. He was accused by some of slathering himself in cottage cheese to avoid the superior grappling of Glover and afterwards further accusations of collusion came in when it appeared an inside job from within the Naughtly Crew alliance had handed Suarez the keys to victory. It's fair to say that no matter the results for Suarez going forward, there will be an asterisk next to his name for all to see. Anyway, back to the fight at hand. Suarez is a one trick pony who must rely on getting the fight to the ground whereas Schlesian has made big efforts to improve his boxing skills which has greatly helped him soften up his opponent before getting the fight to the floor. Suarez humiliated Schlesian in their first meeting but hopefully things will be different here.

On paper, things once again look slightly leaning towards YABAI with their winnable fights looking much more winnable than the other way around. With that being said, Keyboard Warriors managed to upset the odds the first time round. Can they do it again now that it actually matters?

Next up, we have the losing teams from the first round of these finals and they will be fighting for a chance to finish as high as fifth place overall.

CONVICTED INC vs. FINNFIGHTERS

In a rematch from their round round three match up, last years third place team FinnFighters will meet once more the increasingly old and obsolete Convicted Inc team. The Finns were victorious on that occasion but will be trying to regain motivation after their devastating loss to Naughtly Crew 1 in the quarter-finals of this tournament. Convicted barely have a pulse so motivation is the least of their problems right now.

Predictions:

At 135lbs previously undefeated FinnFighter CG Mannhiem will be taking on Convicted's Nevez Amadaus and he will be looking to get back to winning ways as soon as possible. Might be tougher than his previous meeting with Amadaus however as Amadaus has really been rounding his game out and comes in off of a two fight winning streak. A disciple of the mysterious Sun Cult leader, Amadaus might find his best chance of avenging the previous thirty-eight second loss to Mannheim is now.

At 155lbs the FinnFighters team captain Rokken Roll is up next and he will have the sole distinction of being one of the only fighters outside of the semi-finals to remain undefeated. He will be facing Rico Axelrod of whom he previously defeated by unanimous decision. Once again however, things might be a little tougher than before as Axelrod too is coming in off of a two fight winning streak due to improved performances in the cage. Still, Roll looks a little better in all areas and in his current form will be the heavy favorite to get the win.

A big opportunity to gain his revenge from their first meeting for FinnFighters Oke Swahn as he takes on Convicted's fallen star Haitain Ginger. Swahn has been knocking people out for fun lately and is currently on a three fight winning streak. Ginger on the other hand will be coming in after suffering his first loss of the tournament, a loss his manager Freako Wimp was said to have taken particularly hard as he has been seen moping around the bakeries of Oslo stuffing his face with kvæfjordkake and has gained around 25lbs in the space of a week. Ginger got the best of Swahn in their first meeting but Swahn has improved a great deal since then and will likely be a solid favourite going into this.

Lastly, at heavyweight, we have Convicted Inc's 2-3 Ghengis Kahn taking on FinnFighters Einar Kryvansyyla who is 3-2. Kyrvansyyla currently on a two fight losing streak but with the superior stand up skills and the fact he beat Kahn within a minute in their first meeting, he will be expected to put a halt to his losing ways.

It's been said that the mysterious hooded figure that has been sometimes spotted amongst the Convicted alliance team has not been seen since their dramatic loss to The Stepdads in the last round. Coupled with the sad but inevitable fact that their last living member recently turned into the undead like all the rest of them, you'd been foolish to pick them over a frothing angry bunch of Finns.

NAUGHTLY CREW 2 vs. SYNDICATE

The next battle will be between Naughtly Crew 2 and Syndicate. This will be the first time that these two alliance teams will be meeting each other and so new rivalries are bound to begin from here. With both teams suffering borderline humiliating defeats in their last match ups, it'll be interesting to see just who has the motivation to pull themselves back up and fight for a fifth place finish.

Predictions:

At 135lbs, things look likely to get started Syndicates way as one of their best performing fighters Dreynos Elvul takes on Naughtly Crew's scrappy 2-3 Norman Pike. Elvul coming in after losing his undefeated winning streak to YABAI's Jay Reepo but otherwise there's little reason to believe that he won't get straight back to winning ways. Pike does have a puncher's chance but most feel that Elvul is just too well rounded to lose.

At 155lbs we have Syndicate team captain Slash Shredder and he is taking on Naughtly Crew's Christian Caliman who has yet to find a way to win during this tournament. Shredder hasn't exactly set the tournament ablaze either with a record of 1-4 but he has at least kept the majority of those losses at decisions only. As with the previous bout, Caliman has a puncher's chance and once again, Shredder looks to be just too well rounded to have any serious problems getting the win here.

Naughtly Crew 2 team captain Anders Thorsen is up next and he faces Syndicate's Al Hoffa in what looks like being a ground war. Both fighters coming in with 2-3 records and both have been somewhat inconsistent throughout the tournament. Thorsen looks to have the slight edge in key areas of this fight but whether that is enough to make up for his managers absentee game planning, we just won't know until it's too late. The bookies will have this fight as evens.

Finally at Heavyweight we have something actually worth tuning into. Syndicates giant striker Sono “Strength” Tiger takes on Naughtly Crew's wrestler “Big” Dick Glover. Both fighters coming in with decent 4-2 records and both with an above average finish rate of 75%. A very obvious grappler versus striker match up here with just enough time having passed since the tournaments start where each fighter could have picked up a few less than obvious skills to make things more interesting. A tough one to call and the bookies agree having the odds set at even.

This limp noodle Naughtly Crew 2 team looks just about out of steam whereas Syndicate probably still have enough in the tank to go an extra round or two. A complete shut out wouldn't be a complete surprise here but realistically we think we're looking at a Syndicate win, three fights to one.

MIDDLE PHASE FINALS

TO DECIDE 9th & 10th PLACE OVERALL

TEAM PANDA vs. NAUGHTLY CREW 3

Sometimes even the little guys need something to compete for and in the middle phase finals we have exactly that. Even though they were never given even a second thought by the big boys in this tournament, somehow these two completely overlooked teams have found themselves fighting for a place much closer to the middle of the pack than anyone would have believed. Team PANDA, predicted a bottom place finish at the start, take on Naughtly Crew 3 who are filled almost exclusively with NPC bots.

Predictions:

At 135lbs, Naughtly Crew 3 team captain Stuart Burrows finally gets an opportunity to get back into the cage after his previous two opponents stood him up at the altar like a jilted bride. He will be taking on Team Panda captain Napoleon Panda in what looks most likely to be something of a ground battle. Burrows has obviously been working on his striking in preparation for this one and looks as though he has at least a mediocre understanding of Muay Thai to help soften up the Panda. A pretty interesting match up overall and an important one for both teams to start them on the right track.

At 155lbs, Team Panda's 3-2 Jacques Turcotte is set to square off against NC3's Ultimate Warrior. Warrior just recently got his first win of the tournament and on paper, looks to be far far ahead of Turcotte in terms of overall skills but Turcotte is a brawler and has the better form overall.

Middleweight pits Naughtly Crew's Tran Quaach against Team Panda's Otto Graf with this match up serving as Graf's final opportunity to get on the scoreboard this tournament. With an abysmal 0-5 record and with all losses coming via the first round, Graf faces near insurmountable odds against 2-3 Quaach who comes into this bout after avenging his round five loss to ACME's Gretchen Alexander.

At heavyweight, Naughtly Crew's Uncle Abner finds himself in an identical situation to Graf as he too is still searching for his first win this season. Like Graf, all of his losses have come within the first round which will be music to Team Panda fighter Jacko Dawson's ears. Dawson has racked up a 3-2 record (including one forfeit win) with both of his wins coming by KO. Abner has the skills to make a fight out of this but his poor form means that Dawson will be a solid favourite to get the win.

On paper, Naughtly Crew 3 look to have the more skilled fighters who, in turn, have the better chance at victory here. It doesn't always work out that way however and Team Panda have a great chance at picking up the win. Overall, I could see this match up being tied at two fights each and being decided by match points.

TO DECIDE 11th & 12th PLACE OVERALL

LIMITLESS vs. ACME 1

We have Limitless taking on the unlikely lads from ACME 1. Limitless really have taken a tumble down the rankings after a fairly promising start to this tournament whilst ACME 1 could probably be said to have overachieved somewhat. Either way, both teams faltered in this last round and will be wanting to end their final tournament match up with a win.

Predictions:

A forfeit win at 135lbs for Limitless to get things started as ACME's team captain Devin Russell decided to forsake the fighter lifestyle to join the circus as a trapeze artist. A shame as Limitless' Paolo Del Geno looked to have a promising future ahead of him.

At 155lbs, Torn Brot for ACME takes on Trey Limitless for Limitless and this one could end up being a pretty entertaining scrap. Both fighters with 2-3 records, Limitless is coming in on a three fight losing streak which Brot will no doubt want to capitalise on. Brot does look to have more options in this one as Limitless' striking is still practically non existent but he does have a capable ground game and if he can get the fight to the floor, he stands a pretty good chance and finishing on a win.

Middleweight pits ACME's Gretchen Alexander against Limitless' Heinrich Von Slackenfuchs and with both fighters currently sporting 2-3 records, the motivation in this one will be to avoid finishing the tournament with a losing record. A fairly even looking match up on paper with Von Slackenfuchs having a slight advantage in the stand up and Alexander looking a little more polished on the ground. A tough one to call and one that could go either way.

Lastly, at Heavyweight, we have Limitless team captain Slim Towney and he will be taking on ACME's Peter Kowalski. Towney represents one of a small handful of winless fighters at this point of the tournament and like them, this will be his final opportunity to go out with a bang. Armed with only a brown belt in BJJ and very little else, the odds of achieving that however are extremely slim in the face of 3-2 Kowalski who is coming in off the back of two first round KO's in a row.

Despite ACME starting the match up down five points to zero, there still looks to be a fair chance of them overcoming here. Of course that's not to say that Limitless are the underdogs here at all. They could easily take two of the three remaining bouts which would give them the win but with such a poor performing heavyweight fighter who isn't even training right now, they are almost starting off on an even footing with ACME.

BOTTOM PHASE FINALS

TO DECIDE 13th & 14th PLACE OVERALL

LEGION OF DOOM vs. ACME 2

With The Guardians already conceding defeat and taking the bottom place 15th spot in the tournament, it falls to Legion of Doom and ACME 2 to decide just who is the best of the worst. Legion of Doom, an established and veteran alliance in the game, find themselves the surprise participants in this lowly ranked final against a team largely expected to be just about where they are right now.

Predictions:

Kicking things off we have the bantamweights and ACME's 1-4 Glenn Welch will take on Legion of Doom's 1-3 Solomon Grundy. A grappler versus striker match up where both fighters have looked vulnerable against the others strength, this one could very easily go either way and unlikely to go all three rounds.

At 155lbs we have ACME's Brett Keane facing Legion of Doom's Bob Probert. Both fighters are actually coming in with pretty impressive winning records with Keane standing at 3-2 and Probert with only one loss in a 3-1 campaign so far. Keane definitely the better finisher of the two with a 100% first round KO rate in his three victories. Probert on the other hand is as tough as they come and has proven to be very difficult to finish so far with only one fighter managing to do it via submission. That's unlikely to be the case in this one and we are very much expecting to see a stand up war. Again, a tough one to call and could go either way.

At 185lbs we have a battle of the team captains. ACME's Mun So will face Legion of Doom's John Rackham and both fighters will be looking to end this tournament of suffering with a win. Both fighters 1-3, Rackham looks to have the advantage on the floor with So having the better punchers chance in the stand up. So hasn't been seen in a gym for a while now so it seems as though Rackham is taking this one more seriously overall.

We are missing the heavyweight match up as ACME's Fidel DeLuna died of a massive heart attack on his way back from Pilates. This means that LOD's Richard Anderson gets the five points forfeit win instead but in truth, we know he would have rather had earned the points in the cage.

This one really is Legion of Doom's to lose. Already up by five points and with at least one of ACME's remaining members having seemingly given up, you'd have to pick them as strong favourites to end the tournament as “the best of the worst”

YABAI vs. KEYBOARD WARRIORS

On paper, things once again look slightly leaning towards YABAI with their winnable fights looking much more winnable than the other way around. With that being said, Keyboard Warriors managed to upset the odds the first time round. Can they do it again now that it actually matters?

Kudos KBW ?,  very impressive performance in the entire tourney, capped off with a sweep of us in the semis.

The creation pts/build strategy that the whole team used was smart, and you've got a team of very highly ranked and talented managers.

Don, I was screaming at my PC when Omer "dropped back for a leg" from top position near the beginning of the 3rd round!  I knew that would clinch the final round for Bofur.  Bofur had masterful ground control in our 2 fights;  very well done.

Good luck in the finals.

Thanks man! We certainly had to earn it against you guys.

Also thanks for dragging the fight out to a decision, so that I can now give my teammates shit for not getting a finish ?
