MasterLeader Posted December 28, 2020 Author Report Share Posted December 28, 2020 Okay so it seems the current rankings are wrong but we can’t be certain that they won’t stay this way for a few days which would jeopardise our draft system. We (Fallen Angel & I) believe that the rankings as of the start of the draft are correct and if you click on any individual fighter page you will see what it was, for example: 1 - Ciryl Gane fighter page https://www.ufc.com/athlete/ciryl-gane (ranked #7) - we believe this to be correct 2 - Official rankings https://www.ufc.com/rankings (ranked #4) So he is either worth $25,000 or $50,000. Therefore we propose a rule amendment as follows Rule amendment A fighters ranking/price is the highest of the two: 1. Rankings on this page - https://www.ufc.com/rankings 2. Ranking on fighter page (e.g. Prochazka) - https://www.ufc.com/athlete/jiri-prochazka In this case you would pay the higher of the two, ie $50,000. If however, when the rankings are fixed he falls to #6-10 ($25,000) then you will be refunded the $25,000 difference. ——————— Sounds okay? Best we can offer at the moment. Under the rule amendment you will pay $50,000 for both, despite us believing Gane to be worth $25,000 just in case when UFC fixes their rankings he stays top 5. MasterLeader Posted December 28, 2020 Author Report Share Posted December 28, 2020 Ok so we have 2 options: 1 - We follow the rule amendment as suggested above, whereby an individual pays the higher of the two and is refunded once rankings are fixed 2 - We trust the “old” rankings per Wikipedia / individual fighter pages and just charge people this way. I don't think there will be much difference. If there's a difference then the camp manager should pay the value? (eg : if you draft a fighter for 25k according to wikipedia, and once the non-faulty UFC rankings return and the ranking is improved and that certain fighter is valued at 50k, the manager pays the rest of the 25k ?) and the vice versa of the value reduced my opinion is that the rankings will be similar between Wiki and UFC.com after this bug fix to their site though Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
