It was mate but when everyone had signed up I just assumed I could get a head start with the brackets and write ups etc.

If you want you can give the org a 1 rating. I would actually really appreciate it.

I would appreciate a full body rub down and happy ending from a Swedish super model or Donald Trump's daughter, but I guess we all don't get what we want eh?

Full disclosure thought testing was til the 19th and was rolling for a new fighter/build for the tournament until Butch made that poster and brackets were finalized. Couldn't pass on opportunity to punch Alex's untested fighter in the head.

Im glad you mentioned that as I wanted to update those when we get closer to the first week of fights. I figured some managers may be undecided on there pic or even the name of there entrant.

PRE-TOURNAMENT ANALYSIS

imageedit_48_9734014645.gif

The first group to be picked and the Gods of RNG do not disappoint. Two former #1 managers and no one else having a career best any lower than #25. This is a group of death and make no mistake about it!

1. Tom Obama

Predicted a first place finish is “Uncle” Tom Obama. A Russian Kickboxer who looked to have a fairly big right hand during his trials match first round KO victory. At 265lbs, Obama will be the heaviest fighter in his group by quite some margin and it will be interesting to see how he deals with the smaller, quicker opponents that he’ll have to face. Guided by former #1 manager Blake Phoenix, Phoenix has already had some big success in the KT world after guiding former multi-weight star David Haller to numerous world titles in various orgs. It is this pedigree alongside his current #7 ranking that makes us believe Obama will be top dog amongst the killers of this group

2. KT Tourney

Next up, possibly a controversial choice, is the aptly named KT Tourny (It’s as if he was born for this from the very beginning right?) Tourny has yet to fight on a professional level so very little is known about him aside from the fact that he is said to have some wonderful Muay Thai skills and that he is from the city of brotherly love; Philadelphia. Of course Philly is best known for Rocky Balboa (and cheese steaks) so if he can have even a smidgen of the success of Balboa (or cheese steaks), it’ll be a great campaign. He is managed by Bear Stevenson who has been around the game for sometime now and though has never quite managed to hit the coveted #1 spot, he has come close at #4. Stevenson has a decent KT pedigree and currently has some exclusive KT fighters on his books, most notably #10 ranked Middleweight Fleece Johnson and #7 ranked light-heavyweight Jules Caesar. This knowledge of the KT world is likely to be invaluable and might just give Tourney the edge he needs to qualify further.

3. Joe Armstrong

In third we have Joe “The American Ninja” Armstrong, a 240lbs wrestling monster from Smalltown, USA. In trials, Armstrong put his strength and grappling skills to good use and also looked to have a pretty solid chin too. Rumour has it that he did two weeks of Karate classes and now fancies himself something of a Bruce Lee. Perhaps someone needs to let him know that Bruce did Kung-Fu? He is mentored by former #1 Scotty Jc who currently resides at #15. Scotty doesn’t have any real KT experience to speak of except for one decent young project but the fact that he is currently competing at the level he is means that he will be fully prepared for the challenge ahead and can definitely not be overlooked in this group.

4. Akira Kumajin

Fourth is Tokyo native Akira “Kasagake” Kumajin who will be coming in to this right on the lower weight limit allowed for the tournament. Kumajin looked good in trails having had enough power in those hands of his to crack the granite chin of his opponent Adrian Bandic and looks to have a decent amount of wrestling to back up his proficient Muay Thai skills of his. He is managed by Rei who has climbed as high as #7 in the manager ranks during his time in the game but has slipped down to #177 of late. He has dabbled in KT here and there but nothing major to speak of. An extremely competent manager and once again someone you could see moving on here.

5. Aleex Kayy

Rounding out Group A is Aleex “ChopSticks” Kayy, a Chinese wrestler hailing from Beijing. Kayy might not have had the best starts to his KT career following a loss in the VKT trials recently but that hasn’t completely deterred him from continuing on his path to potential greatness. He looked as though he had a decent right hand during the fight but was surprisingly ineffective in the clinch for someone with such wonderful wrestling skills. Perhaps he was just feeling poorly? He is guided by manager Clubber Winger who, with a career best of #25, would be the groups least accomplished manager which definitely says a lot about the standard of management in this group. Now residing around #75, Winger has a couple of very promising KT prospects on his books currently in Fred Bizihwaeile and Zheko Mladenov and with this in consideration, could be a decent outside bet to move past this group of madness.

PRE-TOURNAMENT ANALYSIS

imageedit_50_9626969474.gif

Group B could be another difficult one to escape from with all managers involved having a career best #15 and better. Another group of death? Perhaps but with this time with one very obvious frontrunner.

1. Kevin Faulk

Predicted to cruise to victory here is Kevin “Tiny Hulk” Faulk. At 157cm, Faulk will be one of the shortest fighters in the tournament but will surely pack a punch at compact 238lbs. He has already gotten off to a decent start in trails racking up his first KO win and looking to have some pretty heavy hands. He is managed by Alfred Winterbottom who has an amazing variety of reasons as to why he is currently ranked #192. Unsurprisingly, none of them are his fault. Rumour has it that Winterbottom’s sole reason for involvement in his own tournament is so that he doesn’t have to pay out a years VIP to some undeserving scrub. It is hoped that this miserly fury is able to carry him to victory and allow him to keep his wallet firmly closed.

2. Wiaan Cronje

The real expected frontrunner of the group however is South African brawler Wiaan Cronje. Nothing much is known about Cronje except for the fact that he has quite the reputation for violence in his native Johannesburg. Whether or not street tough translates into ring tough however, well, that remains to be seen. He is managed by “The Key Master” Prince Mitchell who is known for having locked more forum threads than he has started and for his generally unfriendly forum personality. Mitchell has a career best of #3 and is currently amongst the top #10 of the tycoon world. He also has some very good KT fighters on his books including Kusal Perera who has fought the likes of Nero La Croix, Puck Heidegger & Jacques Durand. Overall, Prince Mitchell is considered an extremely strong candidate for qualification.

3. Yuan An

Another strong contender in the group is Bozhou, China native Yuan An. Again, nothing much is known about An except for what has been said by his training partners which hasn’t been particularly helpful as they don’t speak English. Through vigorous hand gestures and mime we were able to decipher that An will be bringing some strong wrestling and some mediocre boxing with him. Also at 200cm tall and weighing 245lbs, An will be one of the bigger fighters in this group. He is managed by former #1 Alexander Melchiot and whilst he has had no formal experience of KT during his time here, he does have an abundance of tournament experience and is always usually found to reach the later stages if not the final. With this in mind this team would definitely be a team to keep an eye on.

4. Tim Bravo

Next up we have Tim “Operator” Bravo, a top secret agent from Finland (or is he?) who had a gruelling test fight during the VKT trials recently. He managed to pick up a decision win and looked to have some fairly heavy hands but overall it was his work in the clinch that seemed to be the most impressive. Bravo has strong Muay Thai skills and mediocre wrestling to back him up. He is lead into battle by one of the FinnFighters original OG’s Zenaral Mänätzer. I have no idea what that name means but it looks bad ass on paper. Mänätzer has reached as high as #4 but in current times resides around the #181 mark. He has dabbled in KT over the years but seems to have recently gotten the bug more having just qualified for the play-off rounds of the WKBC KT tournament. It would be no shock to see Mänätzer in the next round.

5. Cyril Cabo

Lastly in Group B we have Tunisia’s Cyril Cabo who will be coming into the tournament off the back of a loss in MMA. We didn’t learn too much from watching that fight as Cabo is a pure kickboxer and had the misfortune to run into a BJJ Brown belt for his first professional bout. The result was as expected with inexperience thought to be the main contributing factor. Cabo is managed by Mello Jones who has been involved in the game since it’s very inception. He has a career best of #15 but lately has been languishing around the #285 mark. He also has no KT experience and it is for these reasons it is thought Cabo might find the going tough in this group stage.

PRE-TOURNAMENT ANALYSIS

imageedit_52_6872924243.gif

No former or current #1’s in this group and in fact no manager currently in the top 100 but that doesn’t mean that things aren’t still going to be very competitive here with most managers around the same level of competitiveness currently.

1. Leonardo Avicii

Something of a hunch but big things are thought to be coming from Leonardo “Da Vinci” Avicii who hails from Florence, Italy. Avicii is yet to take his first steps in the professional realms but he has made quite a name for himself in the local gyms in and around the Tuscany region of Italy. He is guided by KT enthusiast Jay Soul who’s roster is made up almost entirely by KT fighters. Soul has yet to break past #29 in the rankings and is currently sitting at #228 but he does have a fighter in the quarter-finals of the ongoing WKBC tournament. Definitely a team we could see making it out of this group

(*Was disqualified after his first fight due to irregularities stemming from his management team)

1. Jason Hightower

At 6ft 8 inches and weighing in at 300lbs the USA’s Jason Hightower is among the largest of competitors in the tournament and is our second pick for the Group C bunch. He is a pure boxer so is expected to have some pretty solid striking fundamentals coming into this but as of yet, nothing much else is known about him aside from that he has some freakishly large hands and a small head. He is guided by manager Xyel Pain who is returning to the game after a lengthy absence. Unfortunately Pain’s past records seemed to have been destroyed in the great server purge of 2019 and it is unknown whether or not he has had any past KT accolades to speak of. I suppose I could have asked him but that would have required effort and, to be honest, I just forgot. With a career best of #3 we are just assuming he knows what he’s doing at this point.

2. KT Panda

Third we have KT Panda who is another 300lber and once again very little is known about him. Hailing from Beijing, China, Panda is thought to be more of a wrestler than a striker and we will assume that he plans on using his bulk in the clinch to bully his opponents around ala Bob Sapp. He is managed by Pika Choo who has a career best of #59 and a current ranking of #181. Choo has a wealth of tournament experience under his belt and currently manages one time Eternity heavyweight title challenger Taz Bandichoo as well as former Amsterdam KT featherweight champion Harry Entei. With that in mind we definitely think KT Panda could have a place in the next round.

3. Quinn Diesel

Next up in fourth is the awesomely named Quinn Diesel who comes to us from Oakland, USA. An out and out boxer, Quinn has already showcased his heavy hands during his first round KO win in the VKT trails earlier over Aleex Kayy. He is managed by another returning manager Jason “JBomb” Smith who came close to the top spot at #3 but who now currently resides at a lowly #608. Smith has had a taste of KT over the years so will definitely not be coming in blind but whether or not he will have what it takes to get up to speed after his break only time will tell. So far however, off to a good start.

4. Chad Billingsly

At number five we have Chad “Murder Knuckles” Billingsly, a heavily tattooed thug from Dawson City, Canada. Rumour has it that Billingsly wrestled at quite a high level in high school before being kicked out and from there developed quite a reputation on the streets for being a no nonsense, tough as nails street fighter. We certainly had a glimpse of that ruthless aggression during his trials match up where he mercilessly beat on one handed fighter Cool Luke. Billingsly is managed by one of MMATycoon’s gentlemen, Mr. Hare Rumpler who has a career best of #92. Though technically the least accomplished manager of the group, he won’t be completely out of his depth in this group and does have some KT knowledge with his most recent prospect Mick Green. Maybe a longer shot to qualify but still in with a chance.

5. John Johnstone

Dark clouds gathered over the glorious vision of a KT tournament before even the first bell had rung. Disgraced manager Jay Soul had tried to hide amongst the crowd by changing his name but when that ruse fooled nobody but the most dense of tycooners, Soul vanished into thin air taking with him the prize money for the WKBC KT tournament. More importantly, Soul had left his fighter Leonardo Avicii high, dry and unable to fulfil his contractual obligations thus taking a big humours size dump on the integrity of the entire tournament. Such a dark omen and so early on in proceedings. What was needed now was a miracle. Enter John Johnstone.

Rumour has it that during a phone conversation with a frantic Alfred Winterbottom, an eager, fresh faced Johnstone walked into manager Captain Spauldings office just as Spaulding was about to say he had no one to put forward. With an evil glint in his eye, Spaulding signed the unaware young man up to a 9 fight KT contract knowing full well that he would be a good two weeks behind everyone else. Was this the move of a coaching genius or just the sickness of an evil sadist looking to get his new young charge brutally massacred. Time will tell folks. Time will tell.

PRE-TOURNAMENT ANALYSIS

imageedit_56_9024558590.gif

Probably the first group with one obvious front runner to qualify but with the rest of the field wide open to anybody. It’s also a group with a ton of annoying French names that I have to keep double checking to see if I’ve spelt them right.

1. Roche Doisneau

The aforementioned front runner is Roch Doisneau who hails from Fontvieille in Monaco (is that even a country?) Doisneau is an unknown quantity at this point with no prior professional bouts to speak of and not even any nasty rumours of street fighting shenanigans. We’re not even sure Monaco has streets actually. Just ports with expensive boats and a racing track somewhere. We are told however that Doisneau is a superb wrestler with some currently feeble boxing skills. Doesn’t sound like much on paper but when you see that he will be coming into this tournament guided by current #8 manager Emily Chenet you begin to see why he is considered the top pick for the group. Though Chenet doesn’t have any KT experience he does have a good deal of tournament experience and is always be to put together a solid game plan for his fighters. With a career best of #4 Chanet is still chasing that coveted top spot and will no doubt be hoping that Doisneau can contribute to that aim.

2. Patrick Turgeon

Elsewhere in the group there is Patrick Turgeon, a brawler from Montreal, Canada who has also yet to step into the ring on a professional basis. Respectable wrestling and respectable boxing are the tools of Turgeon’s trade and it will be interesting to see just what kind of style of a striker he is. He is managed by Cope T who has a career best of #40 and a current ranking of #136. Cope T has a good KT backround and has had led his fighters to some impressive achievements at Rio Heroes in the past such as an undefeated title run with Ravi Vamoosh and a brief stint as middleweight champion with Dany Crosby.

3. Jean Yves Theriault

Next up is fellow Canadian Jean Yves Theriault, a pure boxer from New Brunswick. Following a trend here, Theriault also has no professional background in which to draw any information from currently making these reports extremely difficult. All we know is at 255lbs, he’ll be the heaviest fighter in this group and that he seems to really like Holland as noted by his snazzy Dutch flagged attire. He is managed by Kanis Lupis, a six year veteran of the game who has reached a career best of #15 and currently sits at #201. Lupis is no stranger to the KT scene and currently manages #10 ranked heavyweight Scott Columbus in Eternity Kickboxing. Will definitely be a solid competitor within this group

4. Shao Khan

Number four is Shao Khan, another boxer with no background to speak of. He hails from an outhouse in Western Sahara though he somehow managed to get himself and his metal skull mask all the way to Las Vegas to train for this tournament. If anything, this alone proves how serious Khan is about this tournament. He is managed by Butch Harris who is best known for abandoning his alliance to form his own only to end up with most of the same guys again anyway. A career best of #45, Harris currently sits around the #365 mark. He has dabbled in KT over the years but has been more active in it recently having competed in a couple of other tournaments. Clearly capable if motivated to do so.

5. Nelson Junior

The final fighter in Group D is Brazil’s Nelson Junior who, you’ve guessed it, has no prior professional background to speak of. A pure Muay Thai fighter, Nelson is quite a big fella at 200cm tall and 250lbs in weight and you would hope for his managers sake that he has a bit of power behind him. Speaking of which, he is managed by John Pezao who has a career best of #42. The founder of Rio Heroes KT org, Pezao obviously has some passion for the KT scene though has not really had any personal successes in that area of which to speak. Whether or not Nelson Junior will be the one change that for his manager we will just have to wait and find out.

PRE-TOURNAMENT ANALYSIS

imageedit_58_2935609522.gif

The top spot in Group E is going to be very tight indeed with two former #1 managers alongside a #4. The two qualifiers overall are likely to be one of three but that’s not to say the rest of the field don’t have a chance.

1. Roberto Congo

Top of the list is Roberto Congo, a short and stocky heavyweight from Antwerp, Belgium. He has already gotten off to a decent start during the VKT trials scoring a decision win over stable mate Guy De Gaul and showed a very determined attitude in doing so. Congo seems to be a very intense individual and in truth most people have chosen to give him a wide birth with many suspecting him of having legitimately murdered someone at some point in his life. He is managed a returning former #1 manager G Wad who is already rapidly climbing up the ranks once again. Currently at #100 it is highly likely that Wad will rise even higher come fight time. Wad has had some KT experience in the past but nothing recently. Would be quite surprised not to see this team in the next round

2. San Diego Maradona

Next up is…...well, he’s pretty gross actually. The dirty unwashed hippie San Diego Maradona and we are told that for what he lacks in basic hygiene he more than makes up for in skilful pugilistic combat. So much for free love and pacifism. Maradona has a proficient wrestling based and a competent set of Muay Thai skills that he no doubt picked up upon his travels around the far east. His best weapon in this tournament however will be the knowledge and experience of his former #1 manager Marky Mark. Mark has been leading his FinnFighters alliance since the beginning of time now and when they aren’t busy cheating other alliances out of glory, they can be found competing amongst the top ranks of the alliance pyramid. Mark does have a lack of KT experience going into this although we doubt very much that it will have any major effect on his performance here. Another strong candidate for qualification.

3. Hassan Fezzik

Trailing just a little behind is Hassan “The Big Bad” Fezzik. Hailing from Turkey, Fezzik will be coming into this with a 0-1 record following a decision loss during the trials. Though Fezzik was criticised for his lack of output during the fight, it was abundantly clear that he had a chin made of granite and that it is going to take some doing to crack it. He is managed by Randall McSweeney who has a career best of #4 but a current ranking of #24. This means McSweeny is a current player in the game and will be hungry for some improved performances with his new KT fighter. This will also be McSweenys first foray into the KT world.

4. Archy Banks

Fourth is Archy Banks, a Muay Thai specialist from Perth, Australia. Completely unknown at this point, Banks just might have a small advantage going into his first fight as a fighter that will be hard to scout for. He is managed by Thaddeus Banks who, while not having the most impressive credentials as a manager (career best #146, current #451), does have a good deal of KT experience as the current manager of #6 KT heavyweight Kenny Tchusuk and #12 light-heavyweight Chong Tay. Not an obvious choice to qualify but it wouldn’t be a completely shock to see either.

5. Bas Bonjasky

Rounding out group E is “The Brown Bomber” Bas Bonjasky who will have a lot to live up to with a surname like that. 190Cm and weighing in at 250lbs, the Dutchman Bonjasky will be making his in ring debut in this tournament and as such we don’t have much to go from. He is managed by MMATycoon’s equivalent to the Sultan of Brunei Chuck W94 who in truth has his focus set on other things right now rather than his fighters roster and is entering only as a favour. Despite a career best of #15 and a little bit of KT experience in the past, it’s expected that prior business might have to come first and that Bonjasky’s challenge won’t be as optimal as it could be.

PRE-TOURNAMENT ANALYSIS

imageedit_60_7096810391.gif

Could be very wrong here but Group F looks to have two very obvious frontrunners to qualify and the rest of the field is going to have to fight very hard indeed to snatch a place off of them.

1. Flor Delicada

Our top pick of the group undoubtedly goes to “The Angry Onion” Flor Delicada. Why he is called that we are not sure but we wonder if it’s not because if you cut him, he’ll make you cry? Anyway, Delicada has yet to step into the ring on a professional level so scouting him isn’t possible right now, however we can scout his manager Billy Arseworth who, in truth, needs no introduction. In constant competition for the top spot of late, Arseworth is a former #1 who at this time of writing stands at #2. On top of this, Arseworth at one point guided welterweight KT star Melankomas Caria to multiply world titles thus proving he can transfer his fight knowledge to the KT world too. Without question top prospect in the group and quite possibly the tournament overall.

2. Nathan Eternity

It’s possible that we could be overestimating the upside of out next competitor but you have to go with your gut right? Nathan “Bloody Mug” Eternity was a controversial choice as representative for his management team as, despite a top notch performance in his trials match up, Eternity has a nasty reputation for cutting. That could end up being a recipe for disaster in a tournament such as this considering that he is known more as a street fighter who likes to utilise the clinch and dirty box. His main reasoning for being considered a strong contender for qualification is manager Ryan Epicity who is the current big cheese of Eternity Kickboxing. He is also a former #1 manager and current manager of KT Hall of Fame member Lambert “The Predator” George. He has already taken him to a brief title spell in his org and could very well do it again in the future. Will be extremely interesting to see what Epicity can do with his fighter here.

3. Macaco Cidadao

Next up is Sao Paulo native Macaco Cidadao who might just be the only fighter with two fights to his name at this point. Already 2-0 up from trials fight, Cidadao was jointly responsible for two of the most boring fights in the history of KT. Rumour has it that things were so bad at one point that the crowd started to throw half filled bottles of urine at the two fighters in the ring. Cidadao and his opponent were so focussed on avoiding each other they didn’t even notice the hail of pee filled plastic. Cidadao is managed by Doctor John Zoidberg who everybody knows by now isn’t a real doctor at all and only says he is in order to pick up chicks. He has a career best of #155 and a current standing of #223 though he has been around since around 2009 and would be considered a veteran in the game. Zoidberg has only just started getting involved in the KT world and will need to be at his absolute best if he is to get out of this group.

4. Mateusz Radovic

At 210cm tall and weighing in at 270lbs, unknown Polish fighter Mateusz Radovic will be the largest fighter in his group. He is said to have a superb wrestling background along with some feeble Muay Thai skills leading us to believe he is likely to be more of a clinch fighter at this point. He will be led into battle by his manager Tomaszn Pudz who has a good amount of KT experience from the Island as well as on the mainland. His biggest success without question stem from his time with Ryszard Wojcik as Rio Heroes middleweight champion. He has a career best #27 and a current standing of #399.

5. Skipper Eureka

Lastly we come to Hungarian striker Skipper Eureka who will also be coming into this competition as an untested unknown quantity. Eureka is said to much prefer the striking element of KT and has so far shown quite the disdain for any of the grappling techniques employed by some other fighters. He is managed by veteran manager Paul Huntingdon who has been around the game since around 2012. He has a career best of #67 and currently sits around #360. Huntingdon is probably best known for his unshakeable loyalty to his fighters with many of them staying with him until well into their 40’s. He also has many KT fighters on his books and has fought in many of the top KT orgs though not necessarily at the highest levels. Eureka would definitely be considered a long shot to move past the qualifying phase.

PRE-TOURNAMENT ANALYSIS

imageedit_62_5367354681.gif

Group G is another extremely tough group dubbed a group of death and just a quick glance at the talent within tells us why.

1. Bento Barboza

First up we have Bento Barboza, a big heavyweight slugger from Portugal who has already had a chance to show us just how heavy handed he is during his KO victory during trials. He also showed strong wrestling and some mediocre boxing skills. He is managed by former #1 manager Action Jackson who is most famous for managing current p4p number one in the game Latrobe Arundel. Jackson doesn’t actually have any experience with KT fighters so this will be a first for him but we don’t doubt that he will excel here as he has done in the MMA world.

2. Derrick Thomas

Next is Kansas City’s own Derrick Thomas who seems to be some sort of famous American Football player but for the rest of the world that play normal sports, he will be largely unknown going into this tournament. He has already gotten a win under his belt during trials where he was able to defeat stable mate Apollo Creed by third round TKO and by all accounts Thomas looked incredibly confident. He is managed by “Gentleman” Joe River who has at one point in his career has been as high as #6. Currently however he resides around the #82 area but has some good prospects on his book most relative of which is undefeated KT fighter Charlie “Osage” River

3. Elifasi Msomii

Thirdly we have Elifasi “The Axe Killer” Msomii who comes to us from Umlazi in South Africa. Msomii looked determined in trials and put his proficient boxing skills to good use during a first round KO over his stable mate. Msomii has a particularly dark and disturbing story and it’s no secret that there was some initial pressure from women’s groups to exclude him from the tournament. That idea was quickly squashed however when during a face to face meeting with Msomii, he answered any questions put to him with silent yet intense eye contact and nothing more. Attempting to manage this...er...gentle soul...is Power Shark, another former #1 manager who currently sits at #97. Shark has a decent amount of KT experience throughout his time in the game and should have no problem in keeping up with the others here.

4. Brutus Ryker

Fourth is another rather intimidating looking individual who goes by the name of Brutus Ryker. Aside from having pecs bigger than his head, nothing much else is known about him at this point. He comes to us from Townsville, Australia and is said to be an out and out striker with little in the way of grappling skills. He is managed by Runt who has a career best of #12 and a current ranking of #110. Runt is known as a solid manager within the community and has a decent amount of KT experience. His biggest claim to fame in that area however is easily his run with KT star Lambert George in which he guided him to a 26-8-4 run and was able to capture several titles in two different weight classes. Easily another team you could see moving into the next round

5. Damarcus Brown

Lastly in the group we have Damarcus “Tavarez” Brown. Brown comes to us from the Western Sahara which isn’t exactly known for being a hotbed of fighting talent and in truth Brown is considered to have little chance of moving on in this group. Still, he looked solid in his trials match up where he was able to pick up a decision victory and definitely showed that he has a ton of heart. He is managed by new manager Matty Fernandez who at this current time has only managed a career best of #522. Currently sitting at #631, Fernandez has had a little taste of KT before entering this tournament and that can only serve to help him in his pursuit to qualify but overall there is no question that Damarcus Brown and his manager will be seen as chum in a shark tank.

PRE-TOURNAMENT ANALYSIS

imageedit_64_7088607807.gif

Our final group looks to to be yet another grupo de la muerte with some incredible managers aiming to escape it’s dark embrace.

1. Vasko Madzarov

First up we have Vasko Madzarov, a Cypriot brawler from the city of Nicosia. Madzarov and his team have already shown their ruthless side when a gentleman's agreement for a friendly exhibition bout during trials turned into a one sided bloodbath. Madzarov picked up a first round TKO but only because of the honourless way he set about his unsuspecting opponent. Still, he did show himself to have quite the chin but only when he took a tumble on the ropes climbing out of the ring. He is managed by none other than the KO King himself, Chris Karter and the fact that Karter has been able to maintain the level of competitiveness he has for over a decade now says all that we need to know about his chances in this competition. A former #1 multiple times over and with a current ranking of #18, Karter is expected to do very well overall.

2. Joseph Pisun

Next we have Joseph Pisun, an elusive figure from parts unknown, East Timor. Aside from his remarkable wrestling skills, nothing much is known about Pisun. We do know however that he has been training out of St Petersburg for a short while now and that there have been rumours of Pisun’s thunderous rage should anyone so much as touche his beard in training. In fact, such is the level of attention to the upkeep of his glorious mane, Pisun can often be seen foraging the forest areas in search of special berries to use as conditioner. He is guided by another top level manager in the game Alex K who has also been #1 at multiple times in his time. K is currently ranked #15 and though he has been quite vocal of his dislike for KT, he is still expected to do well in the competition.

3. Akecheta Paco

Third is Akecheta Paco who due to a clerical error made by his inept management team, his home town status is currently unknown. We do know he is from the United States somewhere but due to this shady omission we now suspect that he is likely an illegal alien. During his trials bout we were able to catch a glimpse of his proficient wrestling and competent Muay Thai skills before he was knocked unconscious in just over a couple of minutes. Supposedly Paco had something on a granite chin but we certainly didn’t get that impression. Probably another mistake by his management. Speaking of which, Paco has the misfortune to be guided by Andy Down who has a career best of #31 and is currently ranked #33. Just how Down has exploited the ranking system like he has thus far, we cant be sure but we certainly have our suspicions of some Wolf level tampering. Down has a small amount of KT experience from the past but nothing recent. Due to his relatively high ranking currently and a good performance in the recent alliance tournament, we are forced to acknowledge him as a potential contender for qualification here.

4. Mark Yonic

Next up, “Rugged” Mark Yonic from Reynosa, Mexico and a known street brawler in his home town. At 265lbs, Yonic is a true heavyweight and will be the heaviest in his group. Aside from that, Yonic has no professional record from which to draw information and practically nothing else is known about him at this point. He is managed by Larry Hawk who, aside from a brief foray into KT, hasn’t really had that much experience here. He does however have a wealth of tournament experience which is expected to stand him in good stead. He has a career best ranking of #91 and a current ranking of #291 which would indicate him being a long shot for qualification but for those that know him, they would advise against underestimating him and his fighters.

5. Jafari Drogba

Lastly we have Jafari “Dancing Death” Drogba from Accra, Ghana. He is known for his pure Muay Thai style which has been described as “wonderful” by training partners and coaches alike. He has yet to make his professional debut but we are definitely excited to see what this big 258lber can do. He is brought to us by returning manager Rory Daly who managed to rank as high as #26 at his peak but who is now relearning the ropes and sits at #452. It seems as though Daly has had no KT experience but that could perhaps be a clerical error. Either way, this group is going to be incredibly difficult for him to get past and you could say that it is a cruel way to get reacquainted with the game.

Full disclosure thought testing was til the 19th and was rolling for a new fighter/build for the tournament until Butch made that poster and brackets were finalized. Couldn't pass on opportunity to punch Alex's untested fighter in the head.

Bet you he's a moonwalker and still titty fucks your guy! Needless to say, he turned out a shit learner too. GLHF.
