What an epic card!  For no title fights, and no huge names on this one, the rising stars really shined tonight in New York!  Some excellent finishes and just great, exciting fights down the card.  I'll work on getting a review up, as well as the rankings, in the next 48 hours.

THE Pussy Melter

Guess whose ass my hand is now, sleepy dog

Cracking fight man, awesome! Glad that I did not go for trying to outpoint Rex, altough it could have won that way perhaps easier, but I always want to throw down. You win some, you lose some. You won and deserved it, well done ?

HFC 58 - Kocak vs Krylov 3 - Preview

Hello MMA fans, I'm Alexei Smirnov here with your preview for HFC 58. We have a great card tonight and a great looking heavyweight title fight. You will not want to miss this one. I envy the fans in Las Vegas that get to watch this one live!

Miguel "The Jukebox" Duarte vs Marcus Svensonn

My pick: Svensonn Via KO (Punch)

Svensonn is an amazing stand up fighter and it really shows. Svensonn could beat almost anyone whilst standing up and is great at throwing fists. His biggest weakness would be his ground game and Duarte would have to go to the ground in order to win this one. If Svensonn can defend the takedown he will have another win on his record. If Svensonn can round out his game a bit more he could be a huge threat in HFC.

Mitch Rapp vs Frank "The Gangster" Lucas

My pick: Rapp Via Submission (Armbar)

This was a hard fight to choose but, I think Rapp can win here. Rapp has less fights so hard to judge him but his ground game seems very solid. Lucas has a clear weakness in his ground game and Rapp could capitalize. Lucas has been on a losing streak so a win here would be nice but, I don’t see it happening. Rapp could get his first Sub win of his short career.

"El Seor Vorpal Kickasso" Billy Bob vs Kaoru Hanayama

My pick: Hanayama Via Submission (Arm Triangle)

I don’t think Bob is a bad fighter but, something he’ll need to do in the future is lift his morale up. That last loss hit his morale pretty hard and Hanayama will be able to capitalize on it. Hanayama is very scary on the ground and I see him finishing this fight anyway he wants too. Hanayama just broke a losing streak and so he’ll be wanting to build up some more momentum and a win here would help with that.

Basko "MadDawg" Godwin vs Stefan Muller

My pick: Muller Via TKO (Strikes)

I see Muller starting his HFC career off with a bang. He has shown that he has immense power and can finish opponents. Godwin is no slouch and I think it’ll be a close fight, Muller will need to stay on his toes. If Muller can make an impact here it would help his stock in HFC. Godwin would also benefit a lot from a win here. I think it’s anyone’s game in this fight, it’ll be a good one!

Sergey "Tel" Telegin vs Juju Baraka

Next up we have Sergey “Tel” Telegin (6-2-0) taking on Juju Baraka (5-2-0). Now this is an interesting one, this a fight between a grappler and a striker. Both fighters coming off a win and both having very positive records. Whoever wins this will be going in strong and could even be a contender for the championship. Telegin has 3 wins straight and all of them have been finished. Baraka won his last one in very dominant fashion. Telegin will want to take this to the ground and hopefully keep in there. Baraka will want to defend against the takedown and look for a finish. Two young guns making names for themselves let's see who I think will win.

My pick: Baraka Via KO (Punch)

I’ve had my eye on Baraka and he seems very special. He seems to have a great sense when it comes to finishes and bricks for fists. He is yet to lose via Sub and I could see him getting an early finish if Telegin leaves his chin open. Now there are ways for Telegin to win, mostly on the ground. He has a great ground game and could easily get a sub given the opportunity. Overall an interesting fight and one that could have implications on the division.

Lev Davidovitch "Rebel" Bronstein vs Raykuza Maui

Up next we have Lev Davidovitch “Rebel” Bronstein (13-6-0) taking on Raykuza Maui (5-4-0). Despite Maui’s record he is a very skilled fighter, especially when it comes to Muay Tai. Both fighters are on a bit of losing streak but, who will be able to snap it. Bronstein is very experienced in the division having fought yet lost to the current champion. Maui is yet to prove himself having lost to some great opponents. A win for Bronstein here could help him get back to the top of the division. A win for Maui would be crucial for him making a name for himself in HFC. Now let’s talk about the fight itself, Bronstein loves the ground game and will try his hardest to bring Maui there. He will be looking for the sub for sure. Maui will be looking to use his MT to finish Bronstein and will look to defend the takedown. Now who do I think will win?

My pick: Maui Via TKO (Strikes)

This would definitely be an upset but, I do really see Maui pulling this off. Maui has a lot of power and any stray punch could put Bronstein to sleep. Also he is yet to lose via Sub and I see it staying that way. Now Bronstein is a very talented fighter and I do see many ways for him to win but, having a non existent standing game isn’t looking good for him. I could see Maui going on to do great things in the division. Overall a really interesting fight to say the least!

Luis Pinto vs Wesley Taurus

Now we have Luis Pinto (7-5-0) taking on Wesley Taurus (9-5-0). One major theme I have noticed in today’s card is that most fight’s are a grappler vs a striker and this one is no different. Taurus is an obvious striker and is even a part of a KT org. Whilst Pinto is very skilled in all aspects of MMA his grappling seems to be his strong suit. Pinto is really unpredictable in this fight and he could either go to the ground or stay standing. I think the better option for Pinto would be the ground game but he could strike if he wanted to. As for Taurus the game plan is a lot more simple, throw some punches. He has a great stand up game and fists that could put anyone to sleep. Pinto would love to snap his losing streak and a win here could be very beneficial for him. A win here for Taurus would put him as a real contender in the division and could even lead to a shot at the champ down the line. Now let’s see who I picked.

My pick: Pinto Via Submission (Kimura)

This was a very hard choice to make but, I see Pinto picking up the dub. Pinto just has more ways to win here and can really do it anyway he wants and that unpredictability could give him the win. Now Taurus just needs some big punches for it to all be over but, if he goes to the ground there is little he can do against Pinto. Overall a fight I’ll be keeping my eye on.

Jewel "The Polished" Diaz vs "Dragon Fighter" David Dilbrandt

Up next we have Jewel “The Polished” Diaz (11-3-1) taking on “Dragon Fighter” David Dilbrandt(8-2-1). This will be Dilbrandt’s featherweight debut so let’s see how it goes for him. Dilbrandt is coming off a loss but, before that was gaining steady momentum and was one of the best in his division. Diaz is coming off of two straight wins in HFC and has looked very impressive as of late. Despite the division difference there is very little difference in terms of weight. This fight will have a big rippling effect in the division and whoever wins here has a strong claim for the championship. Diaz will look to take Dilbrandt to the ground and try to get a TKO finish. Diaz will have to be aware of Dilbrandt’s black belt although Dilbrandt has a better ground game than I first thought. Dilbrandt will want to keep this one standing and expose Diaz’s weak stand up game. Diaz has a very impressive win over Wrestler in his last fight but, he’ll need to approach this fight a lot differently. Dilbrandt has probably bribed the judges as of recently because his last three wins were all by decision. Overall a close looking fight, let’s see who I have picked.

My pick: Dilbrandt Via Unanimous Decision

Well let’s hope he has more money for more bribing because I actually don’t see a finish happening. I don’t see Diaz getting much done on the ground due to Dilbrandt having an underrated ground game and Dilbrandt has shown that he has struggled with the finish. The main thing Dilbrandt has excelled at is getting the decision and I see him doing that here. Dilbrandt could even receive a title shot if he manages to beat Diaz. As for Diaz he is a very skilled fighter and anything could happen.

Slash Slingin "The Max IQ CACC Wrestler" vs Ademaro "A.D.A" Dos Anjos

For our co-main event of the evening it’s Slash Slingin “The Max IQ CACC Wrestler” (15-4-0) taking on Ademaro “A.D.A” Dos Anjos (14-2-0). Now this is a fight for the ages, the two best grapplers in HFC history going at it. ADA is coming off the biggest loss of his career and the main question is, can he rebound? These two former champs are trying to make another run at the title. Slingin is coming off of a big win against Woods in his last fight and he showed that he still has it. ADA had a nine fight winning streak before this fight and has shown time and time again his skill. Now this fight will obviously go to the ground and it will be a master class of grappling both fighters trying to gain control. The major advantage ADA has over Slingin is the BJJ difference. ADA’s very impressive black belt should help him a lot in this match up. Another place ADA has the advantage is in the stand up game, Slingin will want this fight to be taken to mat pretty quickly or ADA could finish him whilst standing up. A fight for the ages and one that will have long lasting impacts in HFC.

My Pick: Dos Anjos Via Submission (Triangle)

A win here would be very good for ADA as he will need some more momentum. ADA can really win anywhere but, subs are his bread and butter. ADA is a very impressive fighter and should have no issues rebounding and potentially challenging for the belt again. As good of a grappler Slingin is, I think ADA is just the best and it will be interesting to see how it goes. Overall a matchup I am very excited for!

MAIN EVENT: Demir Kocak vs Boris Krylov

Now it’s time for the heavyweight title fight. It's Demir Kocak (12-2-0) taking on Boris Krylov (12-4-0). Speaking of rebounding from big losses, Kocak recently lost the chance to become the first ever HFC double champion. Now losing to Wanker shouldn’t make you feel too bad as he is a goddam beast but, it would have to sting a bit. Krylov on the other hand is coming off two straight wins and is probably feeling good about himself right now. Now this is my kind of fight, two big guys throwing punches. Now another thing to note is that these two have alright fought and Krylov actually beat Kocak. Now that was a while ago but, still something to keep in mind. Kocak seems to have better boxing than Krylov and Kocak seems to have a better chin. Whilst Kocak has a better chin, Krylov has better fists and he has great power in his fists. It’s hard to KO Kocak but, if anyone would I’d be Krylov. These two really are the best in the heavyweight division and let’s see I picked.

My pick: Kocak Via KO (Punch)

This was super difficult to choose a winner. Both of these fighters are amazing and deserve to be champ but, I see Kocak retaining his belt here. Kocak just has a better chin and better boxing and I think he can win here. I wouldn’t count out Krylov as he can win any fight in an instant with just one punch. Overall an amazing looking main event and one I’ll be watching out for.

Predicted Sub of the night: Ademaro Dos Anjos

Predicted KO of the night: Juju Baraka

Predicted Fight of the night: Kocak vs Krylov

Well there you have it folks another preview and what a card it is. I want to thank you all for supporting me and I’ve really enjoyed writing these previews. I hope you all enjoyed it today and I hope you all have a wonderful day. We have a great mix of fighters here at HFC and it’s always interesting to look at. As always I’m Alexei Smirnov and don’t forget to…

I was literally just reading this fight and you called it spot on... That decision was kinda up in the air and I can kind of see how my guy won but idk maybe he did pay some judges off lmao.

Awesome write up!

HFC 58 Review

Fight of the Night:
Krylov vs Kocak  (Called by Buster)

KO of the Night:
Raykuza Maui

Sub of the Night:
Ademaro Dos Anjos  (called by Buster)

Marcus Svensonn defeats Miguel Duarte  via TKO (Kick and Punches)

How about this for a first fight?  Both fighters are bleeding within the first minute of the fight, and the fight is over before the third minute.  A wicked head kick by Svensonn ended this one by setting up the (in all honesty, unneeded) flurry of strikes that ended this one.

Frank Lucas defeats Mitch Rapp via TKO (Strikes)

The bell rings, and the fighters start swinging.  Wasn't a feeling out period as within seconds Rapp lands a huge right that dropped and bloodied Lucas.  The fans on their feet, expecting another quick finish to match the first fight, were brought to a roar by the heart and determination displayed by Lucas to hang in and turn this thing around and finish Rapp at just over two minutes into the fight.

Kaoru Hanayama defeats Billy Bob  via Decision (Unanimous)

This fight was completely dominated by Hanayama, but not a fight to be enamored with.  Bob was fighting defensively, but fighting to avoid being hit, not trying to win.  Hanayama was far more active at range, clinch, and even on the ground with a massive amount of submission spamming going on.  But, when you have a dud of a fight, the person who at least tried to win will always get the nod with the judges.

Basko Goodwin defeats Stefan Muller  via Decision (Unanimous)

The fans weren't overly impressed with this fight, hearing some boos at the end, but this fight was sooooo close to changing that.  Muller had been bleeding the whole fight, Godwin picking him apart.  But to start the 3rd round, Godwin throws a single shot that drops Muller and knocked him silly.  But he couldn't, or didn't, finish or even seem to try to.  Had he stood him back up, this fight would have been over then and there.  But, it went on to the judges where Goodwin gets the win, only misses out on the hype of a big finish.

Sergey Telegin defeats Juju Baraka  via Submission (Triangle)

In a fight where Baraka was predicted to win KO of the Night, Telegin came in and showed the world that was NOT about to happen.  Telegin absolutely dominated this fight from the start and honestly, it didn't look like it was going to make it out of the first round.

Baraka landed a few shots in the first minute, though not doing anything to really jump out on the stat sheets before Telegin got his takedown shortly after the 1 minute mark.  A few submission attempts and some serious hugging going on by Juju to get this fight out of the first round.  The second, however, started with a quick takedown and the sub spamming began.  Baraka did get a nice reversal in there, but to no avail as he was tapping  shortly over two minutes into the 2nd round due to a triangle choke.

Raykuza Maui defeats Lev Davidovitch Bronstein  via KO (Punch)

Lev has had a very successful career.  He's went toe to toe with Massive Wanker and held his own, and has some championship history under his belt to boot.  To many, Bronstein was a heavy favorite going into this fight.  Maui has all the skills in the world, a very talented fighter by all measures and with a 6-4 record, his career has been considered a disappointment to this point.  Since joining HFC, Maui has gone 1-2 with two strait losses.  That was, until now..

Maui was looking for blood from the start and cut Bronstein with the very first strike of the fight.  Not expecting the amount of aggression, Bronstein took the fight into the clinch to collect his thoughts, but broke it moments later.  Just as the  click hit one minute into the fight, Maui dropped Bronstein with a beautiful hook and just stood there admiring his work.  Allowing Bronstein to stand back up, with a grin in his eye, Maui landed another picture perfect hook that dropped Bronstein, out cold before hitting the ground.

Wesley Taurus defeats Luis Pinto  via Decision (Unanimous)

Our first fight of the main card put striker Wesley Taurus against grappler Pinto against each other.  Before the first minute, Pinto landed the takedown and we all though this was over, but some great defensive grappling by Taurus and the ref stood the fight up nearly a minute later.  Taurus has been known to cut easily, but for much of his career has not been cut, but that changed as he was bleeding by the end of the first round.

The second round was just Taurus picking apart Pinto's striking defense, but round three we saw another takedown and again, expecting to see this one end after a flurry of submission attempts by Pinto, but Taurus managed to get free and back to his feet.   Taurus was rocked to end that final round, but managed to hang on until the final bell and outside of the third round, Taurus looked to have the edge in the fight.  The judges agreed and a still groggy Taurus raised his hands in victory.

David Dilbrandt defeats Jewel Diaz  via Decision (Split)

This fight almost happened back in the days of SMASH, but Diaz, under former management, jumped ship and joined MMMA.  Who could have predicted the future to know that SMASH, HFC, and MMMA are all one and the same now, and now we got to see this fight, at last.  Diaz has been the dominant fighter throughout his career, but Dilbrandt is right there on his heels with an equally impressive record.

In the first round, Diaz countered into a takedown which put him in position to do damage the way he likes with his GnP.  Some good ground defense by Dilbrandt and even a submission attempt thrown in for good measure to end the 1st round.

In the second, it took a few attempts but, Diaz managed to get the fight to the ground again and looked to enforce his will, but more excellent defense displayed by Dilbrandt to close out the round.

Finally, a change of pace as the third... oh wait, it happened again, Diaz took the fight down (twice) but was unable to break through the excellent defense displayed by Dilbrandt.  The fight went to the judges, who awarded a split decision to David Dilbrandt.

Boris Krylov defeats Demir Kocak  via TKO (Kick & Punches)

And the moment the Heavyweight Division has been waiting for, the rubber match for the belt between Krylov and Kocak.  Krylov won the belt from Kocak several months ago, while Kocak earned it back more recently.  Plagued by doctor stoppages, Krylov displayed some heart and determination as he got his revenge and won back his belt with an outstanding victory over Krylov via TKO in the 3rd round.

The fight started as many feared, and within seconds, Krylov was bleeding, but he returned the favor in the final seconds opening up a cut on Kocak.  More back and forth in the 2nd round, and by way of strikes, appeared that Kocak was winning both rounds so far on the judges score cards.  At one minute into the 3rd, well.. let's just pass it off to the film.

"The fighters circle, before Krylov throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Kocak's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Krylov lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!"

Ademaro Dos Anjos defeats Slash Slingin  via Submission (Triangle)

ADA jumped right into the contender mix with his first fight at 170 as he took on Slash Slingin to determine the next title contender.  Slingin is a grappler, made his career on the ground with some of the best at 170, but ADA put the 170 on alert with his 2 minute victory here.

A quick takedown from Slash and then ADA went to work.

"Slingin is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dos Anjos has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Slingin is looking to defend but Dos Anjos has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Slingin! Dos Anjos pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Slingin taps out and this one is all over!"

HFC 59 - Ford vs Chai - Preview

Hello MMA fans! I'm Alexei Smirnov here today to give you your preview for HFC 59! The fans in New York are in for a great show tonight! There are two title matches and both look to be exciting fights. Anyway Let’s get on with the card.

Bobby "The Gypsy Warrior" Minnagh vs Aleksandar "The Great" Volkanovski

My pick: Volkanovski Via TKO (Strikes)

Now despite Minnagh’s better record, I do see Volkanovski winning this fight. It comes down to two main things; morale and muay tai.  Volkanovski has the better morale and that’s the reason I think he’ll pick up the win here. If he just uses his MT he should be getting a win here. I wouldn’t count Minnagh out but Volkanovski is who I see winning.

John Smith vs Kenneth Smith

My pick: K. Smith Via Submission (Armbar)

The battle of the Smith’s is looking like a close fight but, I see Kenneth pulling away with the win here. John will want to keep the fight standing as that’s where he’s best whilst Kenneth prefers the ground game. Kenneth has a black belt in BJJ so I have no doubts in his ability to finish this fight on the ground. Close fight but, Kenneth has just shown to be an amazing fighter. Kenneth could have claims to start fighting on the main card after a win here.

Bane "Big Rig" Darwin vs Jeremy Motts

My pick: Darwin Via KO (Punch)

This is a very close fight but, I think Darwin can pick up the win. Motts has almost no momentum and needs a win here and Darwin is coming off a win. These two are almost evenly matched standing up and Darwin could even think about taking this fight to the ground. Although I see this one staying standing. Darwin is still looking to prove himself in HFC and a win over a veteran could raise his stock. Overall a good looking fight for sure.

"The Heat" Rahim Lloyd vs Marko Bakar

My pick: Bakar Via KO (Punch)

Even though Bakar is coming off his first loss I still see him winning here. Bakar has better boxing and better muay tai. The only way I see Lloyd winning is if he takes Bakar into the clinch. There is a good reason Bakar went 6-0 and I could see him continuing his momentum with a win here. Also another factor to note is Lloyd has low morale and if that isn’t fixed Bakar could have a fast finish.

Liam Walker vs Luke "Heart-Breaker" Valentine

My pick: Valentine Via Unanimous Decision

The main reason I chose the decision is because of how close this fight is. Walker is undefeated and Valentine has a good record himself. I see this as a fight that will stay standing and Valentine does have a slightly better stand up game. I think Valentine will be able to just get the edge on Walker to get the win. Overall a good close looking fight.

Joe Tidd vs Roberto "Robocop" Soldic

Up next it’s Joe Tidd (13-8-0) taking on Roberto “Robocop” Soldic (8-5-0). Tidd is coming off a win against Furry and Soldic is coming off a win against Pisswater. Tidd will want to take this fight to the ground and has shown that’s where he is most comfortable. Soldic will want to keep this fight standing up although he has shown he can do stuff on the ground. Tidd’s black belt in BJJ will be something to keep in mind and Soldic will want to defend the takedown well. Soldic’s last fight has shown that he has a good ground game and could defend himself if taken down. Tidd’s main style of dealing damage is through ground pound and I don’t doubt that’s what he’ll be going for here. Whilst Soldic will want to finish the fight early and take advantage of Tidd’s weak ground game.

My pick: Soldic Via KO (Punch)

I think the main reason Soldic wins is because of the difference in standing skills. Even if Tidd manages to take Soldic to the ground I think he would be able to defend himself well and could even turn it around and get another sub win. Tidd is a great fighter and a veteran but I see Soldic winning here. After a third straight win I see Soldic looking very strong. Overall an interesting look fight for sure!

Dillon Van Barle vs Gotan "The Guru" Wasselach

Next up it’s Dillon Van Barle (8-4-0) taking on Gotan “The Guru'' Wasselach (0-1-0). Now this is a hard fight to discuss as Gotan has only fought once in his career and it was from early on. Van Barle on the other hand has shown me exactly what kind of fighter they are. Van Barle is a fighter with a lot of power in their fists and with a granite chin too. This will be a real challenge to see how Gotan does against real competition. If I were Gotan I’d try to take this fight to the ground and exploit Barle’s weak ground game. Now for Van Barle, staying standing is key in winning. Van Barle has a great stand up ground and he can use his power to throw bombs at Gotan. Despite the records I do see this fight as being a lot closer than I first expected. Now let’s see who I picked.

My pick: Van Barle Via TKO (Strikes)

Now this was a hard one to pick and was especially hard because of how little fights Gotan has. Now I do see Van Barle winning but, Gotan still has an opportunity to win this one for sure. Van Barle’s really impressive stand up just seals it for me and has long as he can defend the takedown I see him getting a finish. I’ll be watching to see who wins this fight.

Gervais Lavign vs Etienne Gueguen

Now it’s Gervais Lavign (10-4-0) taking on Etienne Gueguen (12-3-0). First thing I notice looking at this fight is Gueguen is very hyper focused on the ground game. Sacrificing a horrible stand up game for an incredible ground game. Lavign is the opposite of that being more of a jack of all with a lean towards standing up. Now Lavign has a very clear strategy which is to finish quickly and exploit Gueguen’s abysmal stand up game. Now for Gueguen it’s to get a takedown as quickly as possible and then finish it from there. Lavigne has been on a three fight losing streak and will want to break that here. Gueguen is also coming off a loss but it was to the champion. This will be an interesting fight to take a look at.

My pick: Gueguen Via Submission (Kimura)

Now this was another hard one to pick but, just looking at how successful Gueguen has been in the past, I had to give this one to him. Lavign has also shown that they aren’t the greatest at defending the sub. Gueguen will be fighting his former manager so he will want to prove himself here. Overall an interesting fight and one I’m hype for.

"Megalith" Maxim Jahouli vs Ralph McGuire

Now in the Co-Main event for the HFC light heavyweight title. it’s “Megalith Maxim Jahouli (11-3-0) taking on Ralph McGuire (11-3-0). After getting a huge win in SYN the champ returns to HFC to defend his belt. Jahouli has a winning streak going on and hasn’t known what it’s like to lose in a while. McGuire is coming off a win and has some good momentum himself. Now this is a fight where both fighters are just going to be lobbing some punches at each other. A good ol classic strikefest for sure. Jahouli’s last win against Kahn has really shown me just how good of a fighter he truly is. McGuire’s last win against Heights was also quite impressive and has shown what he can really do against a former champion. It will be a hands vs chin fight as Jahouli has amazing power and McGuire has amazing chin strength. Let’s see who I pick in this light heavyweight weight title fight.

My pick: Jahouli Via Unanimous Decision

Honestly, McGuire is probably one of the best if not the best challenger Jahouli has gotten so far. Jahouli is incredibly impressive but I really don’t see either getting a finish here. McGuire just has too good of a chin for me to say Jahouli gets a KO. I also can’t stress enough just how amazing of a fighter Jahouli is and his fight in SYN showed that HFC can compete with the big boys. What an amazing co-main event.

MAIN EVENT: Ed Ford vs Pinero Chai

It’s finally time for our main event. For the HFC lightweight title, it’s Ed Ford (9-3-0) taking on Pinero Chai (10-1-1). After his upset Ford is now champ let’s see how he does in his first defence. Chai will be looking for his first HFC belt. Ford is coming off of a very impressive win against former champ Patriot and has been on a winning streak. Chai has only lost once in his MMA and KT career and looks to keep it that way. Now that I mentioned Chai’s KT career as you can tell he's a striker. He’ll be looking for a KO in this fight. Ford’s strong suit is also with his striking and shown that he can KO opponents like it’s nothing. Ford is a hard one to land a clean hit on and has yet to KO’d in HFC yet, although he’s KO’d a lot of other fighters. Ford really can just get a finish at any moment and you always have to have your guard up. Chai is really experienced in striking and you’ll need to watch out for him too. He really knows his way around throwing hands and you need to keep your guard up. Both fighters will have to be on their best behaviours for this title fight. Now who do I think will win?

My pick: Ford Via TKO (Strikes)

Well so far I’ve never gone wrong with Ford and he’s always proved me right. Ford just has the power and whilst Chai has some it’s not enough. Now if this fight goes to decision I could see Chai winning it there. That’s unlikely and I do see Ford getting the finish. Ford will have a great reign as champ and it all starts here. Overall an amazing looking main event.

Predicted Sub of the night: Guegen

HFC 59 - Ford vs Chai
Event Review

Fight of the Night:
Ford vs Chai

How could we not pick this fight for FotN honors?  Both guys went all out, Chai dominated each round, but Ford stuck to his guns and in HARDCORE fashion went for the blood and in a crazy turn of events, seconds from the end of this fight, the doctor stopped the fight via cuts.

Ralph McGuire

Our writer didn't expect a finish in this fight, but the finish of the night happened in stead.  About half way through the first round, well, this happened...

Marcello Sosa

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Marcello Sosa

Record:  13-1-1

Key Wins:  Jewel Diaz, Roberto Soldic, Lorenzo Benedetti

Key Losses:  Badau Aguiar

Manager:  Chris Karter of Convicted Inc

What a night for manager Chris Karter!  Two fights on our first ever PPV, and they are main and co-main events!  Sosa has been a dominate fighter and on a run as champ, but he's put his title on the line against the 135 champ who's already run through the 135.  But if there is any team that can pull off this fight, it's down there at Convicted Fight Club.  This may be the first fight of Sosa's career where he's been considered the underdog.

vs

Petchuanglek Sitsongrit

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Petchuanglek Sitsongrit

Record:  8-1

Key Wins:  Chad Repine, Etienne Gueguen, Gervais Lavigne

Key Losses:  N/A

Manager:  Theksit Ruengruong of YABAI

Sitsongrit, what can we say about him?  We should expect nothing less from the stable of fighters at the Sitsongrit gym as that place pumps out champions at an unbelievable pace.  Expect a very efficient, accurate display of striking from Petchuanglek in this one just as any other.

Wanker vs Battle  (Super Fight)

Massive Wanker

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Massive Wanker

Record:  14-0

Key Wins:  Doug Slugs, Boris Krylov, Demir Kocak, L.D. Bronstein

Key Losses:  N/A

Manager:  Valentina's Ass of The GBU

The most dominate fighter in HFC history, at 14-0, Wanker has come in knowing nothing but championship fights throughout his HFC career with a few super fights thrown in between.  He puts his undefeated record on the line against a much smaller, faster opponent who has all the confidence in the world that he's going to fell the giant.  What an exciting match we get to see in this one, a fight for the lifetime!

vs

Dre Battle

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Dre Battle

Record:  8-1

Key Wins:  Ademaro Dos Anjos, Chip Nickel, Samson Komua

Key Losses:  Samson Komua

Manager:  Chris Karter of Convicted Inc

Battle has been one of the most under the radar fighters in the HFC who just keeps on winning.  Well, he broke onto the scene and busted the radar in his title fight against ADA where he dethroned the 20' fighter of the year to claim his spot at the top.  A little bit of banter between these two managers and the call-out happened.  So now we get to see our very own David vs Goliath.

Excellent card!  Some crazy fights in there, will work on a review tomorrow night so should be up at latest on Monday.  We have a nice little winter storm blowing through down here so I'll be stuck at home on Monday.  Will get rankings updated as well.

Kona was offered a title shot and declined. Third shot at Ford and declined for the 2nd time. Figures this manager would decline a shot that he didn't have an advantage in

LMAO, They only fought 2 fights ago and there is a significant difference in their abilities. Whats the point of fighting same guy over and over? Kona is an overachieving bum,it is what it is lol
