Doesn't work any more, but back in 2011 or so going full counter was pretty much god mode, I'm not sure if it was the original fight engine or if it'd had some reviews at that point, but certainly at the time. The most notable beneficiary of the broken system was Golden Glory (86108) who went from unbeaten and seemingly unbeatable to a still good but not a top 10 contender pretty much overnight when Mike fixed it.
