Rico Verhoeven Vs Jamal Ben Saddik WHAT A WAR! I’m not much of a kickboxing fan to be honest. But I was intrigued by the rivalry between these two goliaths and even the hatred that they seemingly have for each other. Interesting to note: the original match for this event wasn’t going to be Rico Verhoeven Vs Jamal Ben Saddik. Verhoeven was supposed to face Alistair Overeem but Overeem suffered an injury in training and Saddik stepped in on short notice. Now let’s move on to the fight itself. ROUND ONE After a short feeling out process, tensions started to flare. Ben Saddik seemingly caught Rico, knocking him down to one knee just a few seconds before the end of the first round. But Rico popped up like a Jack-in-the-Box, sending a clear message to his opponent that he didn’t just get saved by the bell. ROUND TWO As the second round starts, it was clear Ben Saddik’s leg was busted open but the doctor didn’t stop it. Fueled by wild desire and with his confidence at an all-time high after that strong end to the first round, Ben Saddik came into round two like a man on a mission. Saddik came out strong out of the gates and a big right hand dropped Rico to start the second round. Rico calmly stood up. Blood was pouring out from under his eye like a waterfall but it was nothing but a flesh wound to Rico. He had the eye of the tiger, he was still focused and ready. He looked like the freaking terminator. The referee let them go at it again and they started throwing bricks of fists at each other. Saddik caught Rico with another stiff shot and the commentators started screaming that Rico was damaged goods, seeing Rico’s cut swelling before their very eyes as Saddik started using it for target practice. But Rico didn’t back down. Saddik landed one flush on the mush and Rico started throwing back bombs with reckless abandon like a bull seeing red. Saddik backed up into the ropes but Rico chased after him and the crowd could smell the tides turning. But Saddik kept his calm and played it smart. The referee quickly stopped the fight for a second, letting the doctor check Rico’s cut as his face started to look like he just walked off the set of a horror movie. But the doctor didn’t stop it and the fighters went back to slugging it out in the center of the ring. A huge comeback rush from Rico, landing a devastating knee and following it up with some stiff punches. But a big right hand from Saddik broke it up, he was swinging for the bleachers with that one. They traded some brutal shots until the bell rang. Rico showed a lot of heart in the end but Saddik clearly came out the winner of the second round. ROUND THREE Saddik threw some massive punches and grazed Rico’s head with a big head kick to start the round but now it was Rico’s turn to do some damage. Rico looked like a man possessed, clipping Saddik with a waffle of a right hand and following it up with punches in bunches. Saddik smiled, gladly trading back in kind but some big knees to the kisser quickly wiped that smile off his face. Rico smelled blood in the water and started teeing off, using Saddik like a boxing ball. Saddik threw some big punches but to no avail, the damage was clearly done. Saddik was breathing heavy and he started to slow down. Rico pounced on him like a tiger, ripping Saddik to shreds. Saddik fired off some big sluggish shots to keep his opponent at bay but Rico was like a machine, bombarding Saddik with an army of crisp and bludgeoning strikes. At the end of the third round, Saddik just gave up on defense entirely and let his hands drop, putting all his eggs in one basket as he started swinging for the fences. By the end of the third round, they both looked like they just survived twelve rounds of absolute war and mayhem. ROUND FOUR The look on Saddik’s face spoke volumes as the fourth round started. He looked like he was about ready to give up and walk right out of the building. They traded some hard thudding punches but Rico quickly gained the upper hand again, smashing knockout punch after punch into Saddik’s face. Saddik tried to protect himself, nearly throwing himself over the ropes to escape the violent assault from the champion. The referee broke it up and it was clear that Saddik was done. This season of the island needs a little violence! So I'm bringing back Ring of Violence from the grave! For now there will be 2 weight classes, 205lbs and 170lbs 205lbs will be 18yr old creation only 170lbs will be 25 yr old There will be a custom trophy for any fighter that gets 5 (t)Ko in a row I think that will be suitable for the time being, I will be around all season without a doubt so with help from you guys we can make this the most Violent season yet! So I've decided that I would try my hand at running a fight org(again) and figured I would make a KT one and it be on The Island. But what i havent figured out is whether to make it 18 yr old only or 25 yr old. I was thinking about doing 170lb and 265 lb divisions to start with and see how that goes. There is a poll so let me know with that or just comment any feedback.

Nero would kill them all this night, take all their family “treasures” and leave this pit. His father died smiling. He sold it all… Set down his past and walked to his future. This led young Nero to the United States of America and he got a part time job beating up bullies at school while training non stop in boxing and soon kickboxing. His coach feared him, his teammates more than feared them. He became the alpha of every place he ever trained at and soon… La Croix debuted as a young lion. The Young Lion tournament was an important milestone in the history of kickboxing as it led to the starts of Heavyweight kickboxing champion and sensation… Dick Doss. Doss was the first man to defeat Nero in his entire life… When he was a boy he used sticks, bats or whatever else was available for him to pour his strength into and use as an extension of himself. Those adults cried like kids… or shat like babies… or ran like cowards. Dick Doss was none of these. He was a monster as well and for the first time in his life… Nero felt pain, he felt uncertainty and most importantly… he felt the fear that comes with feeling powerless. This sparked a change in the monster and he no longer trained like a wild animal. Instead… He trained like a God. Perfection, in every move. He would work on his timing until the night had come and gone and it was morning again… In this stage of his life Nero had many sleepless nights of precision training to go along with his unnatural power. The effect the Doss fight had on him was obvious… but it was a positive effect for Nero and when they finally came face to face again in Dynasty… Well Nero said that when they looked into each other in the staredown he a puzzled and confused monster that did not know what to do when confronted with a monster that had evolved into a god. The Doss rivalry is important but the second match was a huge fight for many reasons… many reason but the most important one was the feeling of being invincible and a God that washed over Nero like a wave of ego and vanity. In the days leading up to the Love Bug fight many coaches and teammates alienated him and some even left his service. Nero had forgotten… A fighter is only as strong as his hunger. And thus…. ₪₪₪ The Love Bug Paradox {He does not have a win over the mythical pokemon, Love Bug, who defeated Nero in what would be the last win of his entire career. I guess defeating the future baddest man on the planet was too much for the space-time continuum and his existence started to collapse in a black hole... OR… Maybe it’s because Nero was a green 24 newcomer and The Love Drug was already pushing 46, which is 92 in crack years. What is known is that the egotistical God-man, Nero La Croix died in the cage that night and instead… The Monster of Gluttony was born.} ₪₪₪ ₪ THE MONSTER OF GLUTTONY !! … The Apexx of Monstrosity !! … The Abomination of Domination!! The loss to Love Bug served as one of the final changes that Nero would ever make to his life style and how he approaches and thus, the monster was reborn… but quite different than it’s predecessors. He has hunger… Power… but Wits and Wrath but he never gave up Tits and Ass. He would then go on to become the Dynasty Heavyweight champion and then dominate his time in K-1 with a series of spectacular highlight reel finishes and title defenses. At this point in time… At the age of 26, Nero La Croix was already considered the P4P best fighter in the world and in the nine years that followed… Nero would lose battles, yes but he always rose again… faster and stronger. He lost to Puck… then got another change the top kickboxing company became Rio Heroes and Nero was the first beast in line and thus… he held up the gold belt… only to be torn down. In the end however it was Nero that would have the last laugh as he went on to defeat Puck multiple times in devastating fashion to avenge his losses and lessen the stain upon his record. Fighters lose, that is a fact of life, especially in Mixed Martial Arts and Kickboxing where so many different style are born or bred. His biggest accomplishment in my humble opinion his epic six fight series with Jacques Durand, who is probably an easy case for the No. 2 Heavyweight of all time behind Nero. Durand has 12 title wins of his own and an impressive list of defeated opponents. He even seemed to have the one-up on Nero La Croix when their rivalry began but then… Nero did what he always does and shed his skin… casting away his worn out shadow. The final version of Nero would emerge amongst these six fights of blood, sweat and sacrifice and honestly… The present Nero is the scariest man in kickboxing history. His 4-2 decimation of Jacques Durand leaves them both in an awkward position moving forward in ETERNITY’s heavyweight division where they follow the old ways. 205+ just like the golden age of boxing… the bigger you are in muscle mass the stronger you are… but the slower you are. Ok guys...... With the success of the first Junior Grand Master of KT Tournament, I have decided to strike while the iron is hot and start to plan the second edition! As you all know, the aim of this tournament is to rebuild KT one division at a time. For those who missed the first one, it is NOT too late to build a 145 KT fighter to challenge for that title in EFFA! So if you are thinking of making a project 145 KT fighter, best do it NOW!!!! With less skills to train than MMA guys, your guy shouldn't be too far behind the 279k ID range for the last tournament!! But enough living in the past. I have decided to keep my momentum going and continue to help build the next generation of KT stars as the older ones retire. The last tournament was a complete success with 32 young fighters signing up!!! This time i thought i would break it down to 2 divisions. I want to do the Heavyweight division with the heavy hitters.... The other division? That's for YOU to decide!!! Should we make it Lightweight (155) or Middleweight (185)? My plan is to make it 16 fighters each division and it will be a single elimination knockout tournament much like the last one. Well, KT is a dying breed and we have been working behind the scenes to hopefully rebuild the KT division and add some depth. As our older KT fighters retire and fade away, we need to rebuild with a new generation. And what better way to do it than to hold a tournament! We hope to encourage young fighters to sign up to KT and hopefully we can build a division around them. I am happy to announce that we have had lots of interest in this, so hopefully we can get this tournament going. Rules of the tournament: Fighters must be 18 years old (creation date Sunday 9th August, 2015! DO NOT create a fighter before this!!) Fights will take place in EFFA so you must make it to Amsterdam for your fights! Starting contracts will be 5 fights at $4000/$3000/$3000 Fights will be 5x3 minute rounds (The Final will be 5x5min rounds) Fights will be 10 point must system Fighters will have 4 weeks to train after creation date. First round is Sunday 6th September 2015, then it is 3 weeks between fights Fighters MUST make the 145 limit on fight day Testing of fighters IS allowed. However, being a KT tournament you run the risk of drawing a grappler in a Quick Fight and losing by sub. If you choose to sack your guy you can still replace him up until the start of the tournament, but note you will be at a disadvantage because your guy will be created later. Knockout Tournament, so once you lose you are out of the tourney * In the event of a draw, a panel will be chosen to choose a winner (with the loser getting a rematch down the line) Fights MUST be accepted. This is a tournament! No reason to decline a fight in a tournament. Declining a fight will result in forfeit, resulting with an alternate replacing you. While not compulsory, smack talk is encouraged! But remember this is meant to be FUN so talk smack, be arrogant. But keep it IN CHARACTER and don't make/take it personal. Also not compulsory, but visit MMA Hype for the official tournament gear! All proceeds go to the prize pool! Get in there!!!! Draw will be random, will ask someone to make the draw (That's all i can think of at the moment but will add more if i feel the need to) * Now while this is an elimination tournament, I encourage you all to stick around even if you lose in the first round. And what young talent we have in the Junior Grand Master of KT Tournament hosted in EFFA. Then one night in Amsterdam, 32 men became 16 (which you can see here and here). Those 16 men then became 8 men in Round 2. This weekend, we will find out who will make the Final 4 in Round 3 of this excellent tournament. But aside from this prestigious tournament, we also saw the short lived Elite KT close it's doors only after 4 events, leaving EFFA to pick up the pieces and host the first round of the Bloodsport tournament. So many new talent it is hard for me to keep up! I am PUMPED!!!! But what does this mean for you??? Well, if you are a young kid looking to get into fighting, there is no better time than NOW to get into KT. EFFA is looking to sign young 145'ers to step up and build the new generation. Do you have what it takes to take on the eventual winner of the Junior Grand Master of KT? Are you too big to fight at 145? Well, EFFA is also signing 185 and 265 fighters too!! With the collapse of Elite KT, many of their young stars are signing with EFFA to develop their skills against kids similar to their age. NOW is the time!!!! Oh, and with the success of the Junior Grand Master of KT Tournament, i hear a rumour that after this one there may be a Junior Grand Master 2 tournament. But you didn't hear that from me.... I just noticed it again and i also had someone decline a fight because the rank was to far away, but he just saw the MMA Rank not the KT rank. That got me thinking again and i havent seen it around here in the Improvements so i thought i just post it. Fran Queza and Bob Vendarra made a press release about a new Partnership between these two businesses. The FJCP & KT gym and the Extreme Fist Fighting Association working as of now together in bringing Amsterdam more quality training. the FJCP & KT Gym is a pure Stand-Up Gym and will work closely together with the EFFA. Bob Vendarra has been looking for a long time and finding someone to open an Public Stand-up Gym in the City. We reported and that in the Tycoon News a while back, when all the big Public Gyms closed and left the City in really hard times for all those Fighters out there that needed quality public training. Since then the City came around and a lot of new Gyms opened and let the Fighters of Amsterdam again chear. But what i laked was a chance for new, young KT Fighters to train at a quality Gym just for there needs. Luckily these both came to an agreement and the shouts from the Fighters got heared.
