The start of the official thread for the legendary grappling org, CWC. You can generally talk about events or fighters, or call people out, any topic related to the fighters of cwc or the organization this is the place for it. There will be often event previews and fighter interviews posted here.

Sparbots (grappling) are the perfect place for a grappling org, it resets their de-pop timer therefor preserving their use for much longer while gaining you money and maybe making a little bit more of a legacy for themselves. There is also no morale or energy hit for fighting grappling as well as no injuries. not a lot of people know this and I’ve gotten messages asking me why I’d offer sparbots contracts and if people knew this info there would be a lot more grapplers as there’s currently a shortage for our grappling org. here’s some notes on cwc, if you’d like a contract with us please pm me! ———— NOTES - Grappling (as opposed to MMA or KT) does not cause energy loss after a fight. - CWC is Grappling only (we do not host any other kind of events). - CWC only hosts events on Sunday after the PM training session. This means your fighter will always compete at 100% energy (if you are training optimally that is) & they will never have to miss a single training session to compete. - Losses in Grappling do not cause injuries or morale loss but does affect popularity. That being said if you win, it increases your popularity & Grappling hype. - Competing in CWC for sparbots is perfect as it won't affect their training/sparring regimen. Also, it will reset their de-pop timer. - Grappling has no affect on manager ranking - TWGC, QFC, & co-MMA/KT contracts are all allowed upon request - All divisions are Open ID. It should go without saying that you will be expected to go against anyone in your division. Matchups are based on win streaks (within the org) NOT grappling hype or skill. Cherry picking fights will not be tolerated & will result in your fighter being released & you being permanently banned from the org. - In reference to the aforementioned matchmaking, fights are booked according to different categories: 1 W streak v 1 W streak, 2 W streak v 2 W streak, 3 W streak v champion, or if both fighters last match was an L (no matter how long of a streak it is). If a fighter hasn't had a fight within the org I put them up against someone whose last fight was an L. Only fights within the org are considered. If your fighter left the org for a significant time & is returning & was previously on a win streak, I will find an appropriate opponent for them at my discretion. - Hall of Fame induction for fighters who achieve 5 title wins within the org - Hall of Fame induction for managers who have 5 different fighters win titles within the org

GRPL in association with Syn City Promotions presents : GRPL Mania. 16 participants in each belt ranked class including Blue , Purple , Brown and Black will all compete for 500K each. We will also be having an 8 man Red belt tournament worth 500K. Five seperate belt ranked tournaments happening at once. All matches are Openweight and open ID. You will be placed based on your belt class at time of signing up. We are shooting for 16 participants in each of the four belt rank classes. CACC has had great success with tournaments like this and we are hoping we will as well. Each event will take place on a Sunday , all contracts will for 5 matches/fights and will be 5k/4k/4k. 14 days between each fight/match. Combate and Caged Warriors have already decided they will allow anyone signed to them to be loaned out for this tournament. I am currently discussing this with other org owners as well. I feel this is a way to get existing fighters old and young involved. 2.5 million in prizes and a trophy for each winner. Sign up below with fighter Name , ID and Belt Rank. 1 fighter per belt rank per manager. So no more then 5 fighters entered per manager.

Hey guys! I am back to mat, training bjj again after a forced hiatus (shoulder and hip injury). I just downloaded Ryan Hall material and Maia's "Science of Jiu Jitsu" to help me study my game and try to find myself in today's meta. Since I bring a considerable judo background (Im a judo brown belt and a bjj blue belt), I already play a much different game than the dynamic "open/de la riva/lasso guard berimnolo shenanigans" I've been seeing inside the gym. Im more stallkng, brute strength control based kinda player, and I did enjoy the freebies I saw from Neil Melanson's catch wrestling system. Does anyone around here know where I can find it for download? PS: I know. Its piracy. Its wrong and if I like the stuff I should support the guy. Fuck you very much.

Like we already have on "search.php" page: Fighter hype: to (scale measuring hype is 1 to 1000) Fighter KT hype: to (scale measuring hype is 1 to 1000) Will be good to have field for grappling hype on searching page same like we have for MMA and KT hype

Title is self explanatory. This would be useful especially when org owners/matchmakers are struggling to come up with a last fight to fill up a card. it could either kill KT orgs for good or help spark KT up again. as it is right now, IMO it's worth the risk because KT is almost dead anyway.

RISE Fight League in Los Angeles is under new management and as part of the new management's efforts to revitalize the flagging organization, we will be having a recruitment drive for all of the weight classes but particularly so for our Super-Heavyweight division which is open to all 330K+ ID grapplers and all fights will be under TWGC rules. There is plenty of opportunity here to make a run at the title and sit like a titan at the head of one of the only grappling only divisions in the game. Hello fellow Tycoon managers. Humble Greco and I have been discussing about opening our 265+ RISE division and would like some ideas/feedback. The idea is to make it a grappling only division and launch it with a 32-man grappling tournament (16 if not enough interest). We know there is a demand so why not give it a shot. Please find below the format, right now the ID just turned 328k (take into consideration). Give us your opinions please so we can make this an awesome tournament !! Name: LACC (I would prefer ADCC but we are located in LA, if veryone is Ok pretending we are in Abu Dhabi even better) ID + start date: 330K Restrictions: 18 year old creation tourney Training: Yes 30 days from 330k start date Testing: Of course, you can test QFC Weight Restrictions: (cut to) 225 lbs to 300+ lbs. ----------- What do you guys think? We have time to plan this properly and make history I would LOVE to incorporate ground & pound but I don't think the engine supports this correct? Any advise from experienced managers? If it's a big success the division would crown its first champion and then continue to be open at that (330k) ID. It's been a while since we had a TWGC. Was wondering if there were plans to have another one soon? If so, what weight divisions would they be?

Not sure if this was asked before, so i will ask here. I was just wondering that when entering TWGC and if you have multiple fighters in the same division and weight class, are the brackets still random? Do you go to opposite sides of the brackets or is it random and you have a chance of facing your own guy? Reason i ask is that in the next few tournaments, i have a few guys in the same division and weight class and if i make it far enough and they are to meet i would like it to be as late as possible in the tournament. Guys, I had this idea of making a female fighter, then Mike explained to me that just like in the real word a woman can't (officialy) fight a man. I recently i just came out the hospital the last week of august and I have been training up although i need to get my muscle back. I just recently Turned 16 and since and BJJ coach says the kids belts are the Equivalent of adult stripes i now am a white belt 4 stripes in adult. anyway we had an in house tournament and since i missed weight by 2.8 pounds and the division just above was full so i fought at 200+ white belt adults division and I won, here is the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezuxHFH5Vyg

So then, I've started programming the grappling only modifications for the fight engine and we need to nail down some bits and pieces. The idea is to have a game-run (i.e. not in any orgs), grappling only submission championships run once every 3 months, with city based regionals then a global final. We would have different weight class and different belt divisions, with obviously trophies for the winner. 1. What are we calling this? TWGC sounds pretty good. Any other suggestions? 2. I have it set so that we're standing up as we start and I've auto-altered the sliders so that we do 100% grappling. It still leaves counter vs aggressor, clinch vs fight outside, counter clinch vs counter takedown, takedown vs standing up, all as they are, so you have tactics in terms of how to get it to the ground. Likewise in the clinch I have left all grappling based sliders as is. 3. Points scoring: I have put it as 20 min round, whole fight scoring. I know there are set point scoring in ADCC (at least I think there are) e.g. x points for a guard pass etc. We could do that, or we could leave as whole fight, under the current scoring engine. 4. I need a new tale of the tape and a new fight imperial stats background, if anyone wants to do that. I'll give you 3 months VIP for a really good one. Also, what should we be displaying in the TOTT? 5. How many people do we reckon we're gunna have involved in this? Let's say we do one every 3 months. There are 8 weight divisions, 12 cities, 6 belt colours. That in itself is 576 different starting points. Maybe we need to do a couple of weight classes and a couple of belt colours each go around? Any other general points welcome.
