  1. ROUND ONE - PREVIEW With less then a week to go until the opening round of the 2021 Alliance World Championship, twelve of the fifteen teams will be busy making their final preparations and gearing up for what is always a very intriguing part of all tournaments. Let's take a closer look at the round one match ups. In Group A, reigning champions YABAI will be getting ready to defend their title as they take on potentially one of the toughest rival teams in the group the Keyboard Warriors. A big showdown at 135lbs as team captains Jay Reepo (Bwang Jong Sr) and Akio Kurosaki (Louie DePalma) vie to get their teams off a big start and to be honest, there is very little to choose between the two of them. At 155lbs, Bishop Bonesteel (Esiah Xavier) will be favourite against unknown quantity Aung Siang (PJ Jones) and Bofur Widenose (Don Xyel) will go in as a slight favorite against Omer Demirci (Jack King). Heavyweight finds the first real gimme match up as Huber Schlesian (Carlos Castenada) takes on massive underdog Felix Suarez (Judo Beau) though Suarez did look good in his trials match up. Could be a sleeper as both fighters are known to be able to take a punch. The key difference will come from their respective management teams. Prediction: YABAI to take three of the four bouts in a close fought, highly competitive match up. It's very close though and Keyboard Warriors are definitely in a with a chance at this early stage. In the other Group A match up The Guardians take on minnows ACME 1 who will be keen to cast aside assumptions that they are here purely to fill the numbers. 135lbs is likely to go The Guardians way as team captain Kaspar Kalleste (John Daugherty) takes on Muay Thai expert Devin Russel (Saklain Javid) but at 155lbs (Isak Hardrada (Alexei Smirnov) vs. Torn Brot (Yamashita Craven) and 185lbs (Matt Cosce (Robert Smith) vs. Gretchen Alexander (Rob Devastation) things are lot less clear and could be the opportunity ACME 1 need to provide an upset. At heavyweight things look like a guaranteed win for The Guardians as Drax Bautista (Blake Phoenix) takes on Peter Kowalski (Lincoln Hawks) and the bookies confirm this with some big odds against Kowalski pulling off the miracle. Prediction: The Guardians by a decent margin. Looking forward to seeing ACME in action and ahead to the potential upsets but this one might be a little too much to handle. The remaining team Naughtly Crew 3 will be highly relieved to have an extra eighteen days of preparations considering there not so flattering chances of making it into the higher final phases. Moving over to the group of death, Group B, we have Limitless taking on Legion of Doom, two AWC alliances making their debuts. 135lbs looks to be a tough call as granite chinned Paolo Del Geno (Milo Paris) takes on the identically iron jawed Solomon Grundy (Runt). Del Geno's wrestling advantage might be a big factor in this but Grundy looks to have the more technical hands so if it stays at range it could go LOD's way. The bookies have 155lbs going to LOD as unknown underdog Trey Limitless (Tristan Finch) looks to overcome the granite chin of Bob Probert (Corey Mcgraugh) and at 185lbs things seem even more in favour of LOD as Heinrich Von Slackenfuchs (Rob Roy) takes on LOD team captain John Rackham (Power Shark). Limitless will be hoping that team captain Slim Towney (Clubber Winger) can prove the bookies correct with a win over Richard Anderson and his veteran manager Mike Hunt Prediction: Legion of Doom by a fair amount. Limitless would do well to even this up at two apiece and keep the scores respectable. Elsewhere, a big match up for the group as newcomers and possible dark horses for the title Syndicate take on the Naughtly Crew “first” team. 135lbs is expected to be a tightly contested affair as Syndicates Dreynos Elvul (David Septim) takes on Naughtly Crews heavy handed slugger Clint River (Joe River). Team captains Slash Shredder (JW Hardman) and Jake Keane (Randall McSweeny) meet at 155lbs and the bookies have Shredder taking this for Syndicate. Another tight contest at 185lbs with Al Hoffa (Igor Peixoto) and Reggie Booker (Andy Down) going toe to toe but heavyweight might favour Naughtly Crew as Austrian born Kevin Mamar (Doc Zoidberg) takes on Syndicates Sono Tiger (Benjamin Halle). Mamar is known for having the heart of a warrior and this will definitely help him against the superior Muay Thai skills of Tiger. Prediction: A very close fought match up and could go either way. Potentially even a draw. Two fights apiece. The remaining Group B team is last years runners up The Stepdads and as if they needed any more opportunity to grow stronger. They'll be able to sit back and watch the group unfold and then come in super prepared for round two. Group C brings us an interesting opener with heavy hitters Convicted INC taking on new boys and massive underdogs Team Panda. If things weren't going to be tough enough already, Team Panda might also end up fighting this one with one hand tied behind there back as manager Joe Snitsky has yet to sign the fight agreement with only a few days left to go. At 135lbs we have Convicted's Nevez Amadaus (Chris Meat) taking on Napoleon Panda (Pika Choo) and it looks to be a pure old school grappler versus striker affair that could go any way. At 155lbs Rico Axelrod (Jason Smith) takes on Canadian brawler Jacques Turcotte (Cope T) in another close affair and 185lbs is currently set to be a 5 point victory for Convicted's Haitian Ginger (Freako Wimp) unless Otto Graf (Joe Snitsky) steps up in time for Team Panda. At heavyweight Ghengis Khan (Marcus Crassus) opens as a heavy favourite over Jacko Dawson (Raichu Kong) and looks set to take home some serious points. Prediction: Even if Otto Graf makes it back in time for the fight, Convicted Inc are likely victors in this one. Team Panda have a shot at snatching a couple of the fights but heavyweight looks a little too one sided to overcome. The last match up of the card features ACME's second team taking on Naughtly Crew's second team and this could end up being a very important conflict indeed. Something of a grappler versus striker showdown at 135lbs with Glenn Welch (Eli Cendle) taking on Norman Pike (Bobby Bowen). A close looking fight and no real obvious pick here. At 155lbs, it could be going Naughtly Crew's way with Australian Muay Thai specialist Brett Keane (Thaddeu Banks) taking on Brazil's Christian Caliman (V Caliman). Keane will be the slight underdog largely due to the difference in their managers rankings. 185lbs also leaning Naughtly Crew's way with both team captains going head to head. ACME's Korean brawler Mun So (Paul Dengal) is going to have a tough time dealing with the wrestling advantage of Naughtly Crew's Ander's Thorsen (Shaun Skaggs) and will need to make very good use of his proficient boxing skills. At heavyweight things look much closer as we have another potential grappler versus striker match up. Wonderful boxing skills of unknown fighter Fidel DeLuna (Darren Russel) taking on the wonderful wrestling skills of Dick Glover (Alfred Winterbottom) Prediction: On paper it looks as though Naughtly Crew should take it but ACME will be looking to prove the naysayers wrong The remaining Group C team is last year's third place team FinnFighters and they will no doubt be cooking up some diabolical plan to cheat their way into a favourable spot.

  3. Kings of Madness "Featherweights" Review With Host Douche T. McBaggins The KOM Featherweights now Head into the Quarter Finals, as Block A Top Seed Reverend Jim looked solid as he advanced. Meanwhile Block B had there #1 seed fall at the hands of The Prophet who may have shocked a few drunk cali-billy's but I was not one bit surprised. This May be the most competitive Weight Class of the entire KOM lineup, with Ignatowski as the favorite. Now lets hurry up and get this over as the ole Doucher needs some shots ! Block B #2 Tempe Gorge def #7 Oshan Jackson We begin with the fight that earned "FOTN" Honors and what a show it was. Jackson was holding his own in this bout even winning round two on my scorecards. Gorge though may have been slightly worried he could be on the loosing end of a Decision and thus landed a "Money" Head Kick that sent Jackson falling like a big Oak Tree. #6 Cruz Dominiguez def #3 Bartlomiej Jan This fight was all Cruz Dominguez as he controlled Jan's every move in the clinch for the majority of the fight and landed crisp and clean strikes. The end came at 55 seconds into the final round as Cruz landed a solid Uppercut which was followed up with some more abusing shots until the Ref woke up from his day dream, to stop it. #5 Jimmy Doyle def #4 Alejandro Sepulveda Alejandro looked decent in this fight but he may have sealed his fate with his Failed attempts to get the fight to the mat. Jimmy managed to stuff 14 out of 17 takedown attempts and played a key role as the Aggressor in the stand up which earned him the spot in the Quarter Finals. #8 The Prophet def #1 Anthon Van Der Dusse The Prophet Dominated Anthon even rocking him early in round two, only to instantly clinch up with his wobbly foe. The Prophet took a Unanimous Decision as Van Der Drusse struggled badly to make the Takedown. Block A 2 Karl Hermann def #7 Oenomaus Doctore This fight in my Opinion could have easily gone to Doctore based on the Knockdowns alone but he played it some what smart and did not follow Hermann after the Knockdowns ,this ultimately could have been the difference maker. Hermann though was a Mad man out there and seemed to do his best while in the clinch as he advances. #6 Aishah Bin Sari def #3 Giuseppe Amodei Another very close and Competitive fight was Bin Sari vs Amodei this was a basic Standup fight with no clinch or Ground, not even a thought with the two fighters. Not many significant strikes where landed for either fighter and the fight came down to Aishah being the more aggressive and Giuseppe being the more accurate. I would have gave this to the more accurate fighter in Amodei, but you want the win, FINISH HIM! #5 Marcos Sanchez def #4 Philip Ziskie Ziskie started strong as he scored a cut on his opponent early in round 1, only it may have lit a rage in Sanchez that Philip was not ready for. Round two begins and knowing he was done on the cards after round 1, Marcos picked up the pace immediately as he rocks Ziskie in the first 30 seconds. The finish though came early in Round 3 after a nasty barrage of punches Marcos lands "The Uppercut From Hell" to pick up the win and earn a "KOTN" bonus. #1 The Reverend Jim Ignatowski def #8 Tzu Chu The Top Seed in Block A made a huge statement to the rest of the field as he stormed through a tough Tzu Chu. After Dominatging the fight on the feet for most of the contest and up 2 rounds to none, Jim decided in round 3 to keep the fight on the ground where he forced Chu to tape out at the 43 second mark of round 3. A nice Armbar finish for Ignatowski and it brought him a "SOTN" Bonus as well as he moves on. The Quarter FInals look very promising and i think the matchup between "The Reverend" and Marcos Sanchez could be a barn Burner. Now Shots, anyone?

  6. League of Handsome Guys 3 - Review Hello MMA fans, I’m Alexei Smirnov here to give you your review for LOGH 3! What a great show we had, the fans in Los Angeles loved this one. Guiseppe "Ascended One" Algiorno vs Gajah "Majapahit" Mada First fight of the night, and it’s a good one. Algiorno clinches very early on in the fight but, then is quickly taken down by Mada. Once on the ground Mada starts trying to find a submission hold. The two wrestle and Algiorno tries a sub of his own but doesn’t get it. Mada stands up to then get clinched again. After these two stay in the clinch for a while the round ends. A takedown from Mada to start the round but Algiorno gets a better position. Mada then stands up to get clinched again. After some more clinching and clinch work the round ends. Final round now, some striking and then back into the clinch. Eventually Mada takes Algiorno down but, after some wrestling the ref stands them up. Some more clinching to end the fight. Result: Algiorno Via Unanimous Decision Matt "Big Leather" Byers vs Sebastian "The Dies" Diestien Matt Byers failed to make weight. After getting a few hours to lose some weight he was still unable to fight. Result: No contest Evan "Bomb" Broberg vs Vihaan "Jak" Lal Very big age difference going into this one. 21 years apart, Lal could be his dad. Broberg starts the fight off swinging and lands some big strikes. Lal fails a takedown attempt and Broberg makes him pay with a wicked blow. Broberg hits some shots and Lal falls to the mat. Broberg jumps on him and hits him with some heavy hands. What a showing from Broberg, just dominated. Result: Broberg Via TKO (Strikes) Big Herc "Sub Zero" vs "HIT HARD" Tyson Drone Drone is coming straight from the old folks home, it should be illegal to fight at his age. Herc taps Drone’s chin and it’s all over. The old man crumbles after just one punch will he ever recover? Who would be so cruel to keep letting him fight? He’s super old just let him retire. Good job by Herc I guess. Certainly an interesting fight. Result: Herc Via KO (Punch) Aniketh "Kasa" Chin vs Umar "The One " Petrov Chin failed to make weight. The fight was called off. Result: No contest Damian "The Batman" Wayne vs Nicholas Diaz We travel into the DC comics for this fight. Wayne strikes first and cuts Diaz immediately. He’s bleeding all over the place. Wayne knocks Diaz down and then lets him stand back up. Wayne strikes him again and he’s rocked! Wayne with a huge uppercut to end the fight. Result: Wayne Via KO (Punch) Dwayne "The Pain" Kray vs Peter Yal This fight starts off with a bang. Both are trying to find something when Yal strikes Kray causing him to start bleeding. Yal keeps trying to go for the takedown but Kray is defending it well. The fighters start striking again and now Yal is cut too. Yal goes for a takedown but gets cracked in the jaw with a big jab. Yal is out cold with a punch by Kray. Results: Kray Via TKO (Strikes) Bobby "DaBull" Bean vs Gary Lava Fight starts off with Bean being the aggressor. Bean hits Lava with a jab that cuts his forehead already. Bean then clinches and uses that to land a takedown. Bean tries a few subs then stands up. Then Bean takes Lava to the ground again, tries a sub and stands back up. Then Bean gets another takedown and more sub tries. First round has a lot of clinching, then going down and then getting back up again, Bean seems to be in full control. The second round is the same until Bean gets Lava to tap. Result: Bean Via Submission (Armbar) Chew Kok vs "Crazy" Fred Collins Now it’s time for the Co-Main Event. Collins misses a few punches and is already winded. Kok takes advantage and KO’s him 9 seconds into the fight! Great punch from Kok and this fight ends early. Result: Kok Via KO (Punch) MAIN EVENT: Yef "Holocaust Thriver" Yew vs Darrel Petersen Now it’s finally time for the main event of the evening. First round Yew comes out swinging. Yew throws a lot of strikes and most of them connect. Peterson doesn’t seem to have an answer. Yew then takes the fight into the clinch and continues the beatdown. Petersen eventually finds the takedown. The round ends and the second one begins. It’s another Yew dominated round with lots of clinching and even a takedown from Yew. He tries to end it with a sub multiple times. Rounds three and four are also dominated by Yew. Yew seems to be trying everything to finish the fight, many cliches and takedowns but Petersen manages to stay fighting. The final round is just Yew throwing strikes trying to finish but is unable to get it. The judges rule the fight and… Result: Yew Via Unanimous Decision What a show from LOHG and I hope for more to come. This event was sponsored by The Forge so make sure to check them out. I’m Alexei Smironov and I hope y’all have a great day!

  11. HFC 59 - Ford vs Chai Event Review Fight of the Night: Ford vs Chai How could we not pick this fight for FotN honors? Both guys went all out, Chai dominated each round, but Ford stuck to his guns and in HARDCORE fashion went for the blood and in a crazy turn of events, seconds from the end of this fight, the doctor stopped the fight via cuts. KO of the Night: Ralph McGuire Our writer didn't expect a finish in this fight, but the finish of the night happened in stead. About half way through the first round, well, this happened...
